i think head units from Kenwood's excelon line that have 5 volts preamp RCA outputs push clean and crisp signals till volume 35 as long as you match the 5 volt signal with the amps gains. i dont like Pioneers Headunit faces though i know they are capable of reproducing good quality music

i would go with flac music stored on a flash disk if i had a keen interest in music quality. id also stay away from bluetooth streamed music
