    And read on to see how the Canyon Lux World Cup stacks up against the best XC bikes on the market: flowmountainbike.com/tests/be...
    All-new for 2023, the Canyon Lux World Cup replaces the outgoing Lux as the German brand's flagship XC race bike. While it does look very similar to its predecessor, there's a bit more going on with the Lux World Cup than just a name change. The suspension has been updated, geometry has been modernised, and there's a brand new carbon fibre frame that makes this the lightest full suspension bike that Canyon has ever produced.

    I just got the Lux World Cup CF 6, the lower end one. Really impressed as I've come from decades of DH and Trail riding, so not really ridden many hardcore XC bikes, this thing flies and is so supple and responsive. I might end up wearing Lycra shorts next!

    Trail seems the better choise for average sunday xc rider.

    Another spot on review by Will and Flow. I recently purchased the CF6 version here in the US when it went on super sale for $2,499. Not sure you could find a better FS XC race bike for the money. Rear suspension is a little stiff, but super responsive. No need for lockout as soon as the tires hit the dirt, but still plush enough to be pushed hard in the tech. No, it is not a trail bike, but the updated geo keeps it pretty composed on the steep descents while still enabling it to pick apart a line at speed on the flats and tech climbs. Not quite as responsive as my Orbea Oiz, but a little more composed for sure. A steal of a deal for the price!

    I’m really interested about the fork being “twangy”. Is this an issue for heavier riders or just the feeling of the fork in general? I’m 57kg and I’ve not felt a fork flex and to me, the Fox 32 feels as good as my Stepcast 34.

    Very nice and comprehensive review as always. Kudos!
    I was eyeballing this bike a lot before I decided to go for the Spark. Nice to know that this review backs up what I initially thought about it- that it is an excellent no-compromise race weapon. This could be the perfect gravel bike for European riders :)

      It's certainly a very fast and efficient bike that I've thoroughly enjoyed testing, but quite a different experience to the much plusher Spark. Glad you're enjoying your bike!

    Pity they did not update the geo to work with a 120mm platform.

    Cables routed through the headset, a flat mount rear brake caliper and press fit BB... Hopefully the rider has a mechanic so he or she can just worry about racing. Also, no dropper seems really out of touch in today's XC. Another good review though!

    • @dannybeeh6332
      @dannybeeh6332 Рік тому +4

      Ceramicspeed coated BB and SLT headset bearings mean you’ll never need to get either out unless you need a new shock lockout or shifter cable…
      If you wanna put a dropper you better afford a Reverb AXS as the new Lux doesn’t have a dropper cable guide like the old ones do, and the BB has to come out.
      All in all, it’s insane Canyon specced 1k worth of bearings on an already well priced bike to allow you to have integration without a pain in the ass.

    Hello Wil and flow Mountain Bike.
    which fork is Better
    Rockshox SID SL ultimate?
    or Fox 32 Factory? thx for reply

    • @FlowMountainBikeYouTube
      @FlowMountainBikeYouTube  Рік тому +1

      I prefer the RockShox SID SL Ultimate. The chassis is noticeably stiffer, particularly when paired to the oversized Torque Caps. Both forks are quite supple, though the SID SL seems to ride higher in its travel and preserve the bike's geometry on the descents.
      If you want more information, you can see our SID SL review here: flowmountainbike.com/tests/2021-rockshox-sid-sl-ultimate-review/

    Could you place 2 elite bottles 950ml in the frame ? Or is 750ml maximum with the rearshock ?

    • @FlowMountainBikeYouTube
      @FlowMountainBikeYouTube  11 місяців тому

      I think you'd struggle to fit bigger than a 750ml bottle in there. Even then it may depend on the brand of bottle you've got, as some can be a little taller than others. [Wil]

    Hi. Nice video.
    I'm worry about sizing. For 1'74 and 83cm legs... S or M?
    How tall is the biker of the video? What size is the bike?
    Thanks!!

    no dropper is a big no-no for me in my view. it seesms like there has been alot of cuts to the bike to bring the weight down. the fork, the post, the tubolito, the IKONs....

    • @slimjim4ever
      @slimjim4ever Рік тому

      Can always be an add on. Supercaliber also doesn’t come with it & most bikes I buy with dropper I end up swapping it anyway! I wanted to buy previous Gen but didn’t like the geometry and didn’t have compatible headset to slacken the head angle. Now with new geo I’m interested… only the price is no go

    Warning. Canyon is good at selling their bikes, but if you have any problem with Canyon's bike it will take months to solve it, if you're lucky and Canyon helps you with it at all.

    • @FlowMountainBikeYouTube
      @FlowMountainBikeYouTube  Рік тому +1

      The Lux Trail is a great bike! Not a whole lot heavier than the Lux World Cup, but with the dropper and Fox 34 SC as standard it's a considerably more capable bike on technical terrain.
      As mentioned in the video, I'd love to make those changes to the Lux World Cup to see how it would compare. The current build is quite conservative and very much weight-focussed, but there's definitely more potential to be tapped into here.

      Completely disagree! People should have more choices, especially when they are spending tons of money, they should even consider having custom parts that you can choose, for instance: 60-140 mm stems, seatposts, different wheels and tyres and handlebars of different sizes.

    • @frienduro24

    My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.
