Great videos. Thanks for sharing. God Bless your family and everything you put your hand to prospers. We are looking forward to purchasing our bus this year.
Thank you for it to do after you get the number my phone is not your fault not yet I didn't know that was on a call us the lights go out to eat a little late Robbie Hagberg want to call last night and I was on my
Congratulations on the new bus! I can't wait to see this conversion. The craftsmanship of the current bus is awesome so i know this one will be too! I'm geeked!
You guys are very inspiring, love your family and how they are growing with the build. I was brought up in South Africa and was blessed to have a very similar upbringing, the skills they are learning and the exposure in your travels cannot be taught in schools. Keep up the good work and save travels ....cheers
So excited for you guy's! What a wonderful new adventure for you all. I'll be praying that all go's smoothly for you and can't wait to see how the new bus turns out. God Bless!
listening to Toby Mac...tells me you are doing your children right, and raising them as believers of the word of God...way to go parents, bby the way this is the first time I have watched yall. keep up the good work.
Just finished another episode. Mosr excellant. Guess we all end up needing a bigger place. It amazes me the talent you have in building houses on wheels. Think im leaning toward the regular school bus likke ford, chevy, or international. Alot of conciderations have yet to be made. I know i capable as a like of machanial experiance to being a hydraulics technician. I so enjoy, i dont knoe where to dtart, guess everything about ya'll. One day we might pass esch other on the road. Good travels friend, stay safe and above all thank our Loord everyday.
new mexico has lots of mountains in the west and north I've trucked there also so does most of the western u. s. thanks for sharing your lives with us.praise the Lord !
Thank you for your awesome information We're currently living in Arizona 85142 planning to move Southeast. I also like the tiny house that you drove to pickup your new bus too. We're going to follow you guys building the next 40' tiny house.
Congratulations!!! ?are you aware because you have a high ceiling...you don't have to do much to your floor... All you have to do is clean tomspon ceilant, lay wood, raise, paint and there you go!!! The Lord Bless!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Very Beautiful!!!
That bus sound sweet I liked when Arwen said why is it so smooth and you commented air ride I was surprised to hear that on a school bus the safety liners I was looking at had leaf Springs, no air ride... so is that the same bus that I seen that had the rust in the rear it looks the same to me or did you wind up getting a different one? From what I could see from this bus it looks pretty clean to me even if it was the same one, not really sure,... man I was starting to drool looking at all those buses because we're wanting to do another bus build with a school bus
The rear of the bus is air ride the front has leaf spring with dual shocks on each side. It is so smooth. This is the same bus I showed you. The whole underbody is clean. You only see the surface rust around the engine for some reason. The rest of the bus is in amazing condition.
At 11:09 , you and your wife were in a bus with a high ceiling and wide entry but you did not say the make or year of the bus. I would really like to know what bus has the high ceiling so I can avoid raising the roof on my school bus purchase. Do you remember or have knowledge of high ceiling bus? Thanks
So glad you are getting a new bus. My wife and 3 little girls are needing a place to stay. I travel a lot in search of devine appointments and selling jewelry that we make. Every piece is prayed over for the love of Jesus to come through and that all would become saved. Not soapbox style but loving on people and strategically sharing as led. We were forced to move out of our last home because it went on the market. We have been staying somewhere "temporary" since September. We would love to have your bus if the lord puts it on your heart.
Do you recall what bus you guys are speaking of at 10:53? the beefy bus with huge entry way and high ceiling. I’m in Florida. I’d love to call the business owner and take a look, find out the length.
Progressive is what I've heard. And if you get it converted to an "RV" first (might've been Vermont that ppl thought was easiest to start with - - start there, then get it switched to your state), that helps 😊
So glad for u guys.i know u have been talking about doing another bus for some time.you might want to raise the roof so bunk bed want be so tight height wise . congrats on new baby .triplets or twins would be great...lol
ah thanks I just discovered you all. Do you live in the buses year round or temporary. Seen quite a few people do these bus conversions. That Thomas pusher brings back from a few years ago riding on them in middle and high school. Some of ours ran good and smooth like that one some not so smooth. Some of our Thomas Pushers like that date back all the way to 2001 models and are still on the road.
Have you all had any trouble at all getting that C7 Cat to start. I see your in Florida so its not much of an issue if its an issue at all C7's are notorious for being hard to start in the cold which we see here in Kentucky I know its a diesel and some of them are harder to start but, the internationals up this way if the batteries are in good enough shape will usually start some even start without a block heater plugged up. The C7 in one of the freightliner/Thomas FS65 models not sure if you have seen one in one of the county buses up here struggles to start when it gets into the low 40's. Id say though in Florida cold starts wont be a problem with it. I think its a pretty good motor just if your in a cold climate from what I hear they most definitley have to be plugged in or they either wont start or very hard to get going. Besides all that its still a nice bus and I look forward to seeing a startup video of it.
Why is physically able to and had to finances I would love to have me one of those trolleybuses I think the trolley bus are the coolest things... So glad you found your bus.... All things in God's time... Be blessed...BBE 😀
We are looking for our bus at the moment. Is there a reason you wanted a pusher? Pushers are very hard to find here but I am wondering what benefits you feel the pusher has? Love the storage bays. Those are on our list as well!
A pusher is going to be much quieter than having the engine up front. I would say that is the main benefit. A dog nose would also be an option lowering the noise level.
that is a good benefit. We are not considering a dog nose because we want to maximize the interior space. i don't know if we will be able to find a pusher but i will keep my eyes open!
I was wondering where I have seen y'all before, I started counting kids and thought, "weren't there even total"? But then you did the 'Good News Bus' and I thought, "that's who I was thinking it was, but there seems to be more", lol. Y'all have a beautiful family, keep on reproducing brother, lol. I look forward to watching this build also, take care and YHVH bless y'all.
Hey there I was looking through the vid I'm having a time and a half with finding someone to cover the insurance on my bus. I'm still pulling stuff out, just moved to the cocoa area. any suggestions to find coverage?.

You need one.
Cool
I'm curious what that tall bus was.
I bought a 2010 IC CE with hydraulic brakes and I also bought a 2005 Bluebird All-American Fe with air brakes
Looks like the new bus is really nice. Curious what will happen to the old one.
If you continue to watch we have an episode that shows what happens to the old bus. We sell it!
You must have a good job.
Not as much a good job as no debt, no mortgage, no homeowners insurance, no power bill (only propane at $15 a month) no property tax etc.
Please don't mind all the people who envy your free lifestyle. God bless you and your family !
Love it

Great videos and am blessed by your family! Do you plan to raise the roof on the new bus?
Already done. It’s in a future vid.
That is an International FE bus. Did'nt know their roof was higher than the others 11:23
What was the make of the bus with the taller ceiling you were standing in? I couldn't see the emblem. Thank you!
International
Shane sent in an oil sample engine !
The bus is actually a 2005 Thomas safter HDX tepicly known as a pusher. You went pasted a bluebird all American 40 footer

Where in Orlando are you guys located/did the conversion?
Can you add the link to the bus dealer please,?
Who are you getting insurance through?
the c7 is a hit or miss engine it gets up there when something goes wrong and that is usually around every corner on a c7 it costs thousands to fix
+xavier johnson hopefully it's not a lemon.

Thanks so much for the great compliment!!! 😊
Is the a/c broken
They are def way better built than an RV....but how much does it cost to convert them????
We will reveal the costs soon.
What intro song is that what’s the name?
do you live in the bus all the time or do you have a house/apartment and you only live in the bus sometimes?
also do you have to wear seatbelts of legally is it a bus and you don't have to?
That bud I’d from Kentucky I know but I want to know what county it is from
United States
What does HDX mean anyway?
Good luck with the rear engines I hear they tend to overheat

Sorry about spelling
Congrats of the new bus! I can see it has the Caterpillar 3126 engine and I hope the MD3060 trans. Caterpliiar is normally a good engine but others on skoolie.net have claimed it to be a lemon. The MD360 trans normally has 6th gear locked out for school bus use but sometimes finding the right Allison trans shop it can be unlocked for a reasonable fee. With the 6th gear unlocked the engines turns (RPM's) slower and more fuel savings and also higher top speed. I am also on the lookout for almost the exact same bus as yours ( 40' Thomas Saf-T-Liner HDX RE) but with an 8.3L Cummins with MD 3060 trans.
j jones we will look into getting the 6th gear unlocked. We hope we didn't get a lemon.
I guess I didn't see at first you said your new bus is a 2005. In 2004 they started using the C7 engine which is a slightly updated version of the 3126 still using the HEUI fuel injection system. In 2007 they went to the much better and improved common rail injection system. Good luck on getting the 6th gear unlocked it will make a difference in fuel savings!
j jones so can I upgrade to the newer system if need be?

what happens with the old bus? is it for sale? GB
Yes...it is for sale.
where you going to park it for the build
