I bought a new steering wheel on eBay with the flat bottom. Do u know if the old airbag piece will fit? Also, do I need to recode or pair?

just saw the comments about the black steeering wheel logo, so yes you removed the air bag, easy then spray dyed it. what brand of spray dye did you use?

You can lose some of the data on the trip computer. Your odometer in the cluster will maintain its reading, but some data such as MPG might be reset.
Will this same wrap fit a c450 amg 2016?

How did you paint the emblem? My chrome has come off and it looks very bad need to fix this any ideas. I went to the Mercedes service center and they told that the emblem cannot be removed as it is with the airbag and if you want to replace it can only be done by replacing the air bag. Please give me an idea or a way to fix this problem 🙏

Not kinda hard. Peel off the chrome, sand it, mask all the surrounding areas, buy a really good quality paint & finish it off with a matte or clear coat to make sure the paint does not peel off. Sometimes even after peeling off the chrome the paint won’t stick to the surface as well so you need to prepare it
I just ordered one of these and don't know how you did it with the steering wheel still on the car. I'm thinking of removing mine to do this. Also your kit seems to have more material to work with than mine it took for ever just to get this thing on the wheel. I am not sure if it is because I went with the all alcantara wheel. Also the benz logo looks sick in black was thinking of removing mine and spraying it gloss black.
So on this car, I did have more material to work with. On my more recent video where I did it on my 2016 c300…I did all alcantara with white center stripe…and it was a battle cause it was less material to work with.

Any further info on getting the airbag logo black? If battery disconnected, can it just pry off? I’ve got a replacement emblem (same size with 3M adhesive ) already done black to stick on. 2014 A45
I spray dyed my entire airbag from brown to black. Including the star logo.
U should’ve made a video flex I’m having the same problem as we speak but I’m scare the airbag will explode on my face

When I swapped my steering wheel from brown to black, I reused the brown airbag (with emblem) and I spray dyed the entire thing black.

You can but it requires more work to tuck in the edges. Pretty sure there’s videos on UA-cam showing this. It’s not on a benz but you’ll get the point.
Hey flex after I took the airbag out and put it back it gave me a code for the airbag. Did I just put it back incorrectly or is there a reason for this? The horn seems to work fine.
Don’t know. If you didn’t disconnect the battery, then you made the car think it had an airbag fault when you removed it.

How did you black out or change the steering wheel emblem on your car?
Spray dyed it black when I dyed my airbag from brown to black.
I got a 03 c230K coupe, older wheel in great condition actually. But I want this supreme wheel cover in same leather as yours. Your link says it doesnt have any for me. Anyone know where I can one that will work for my vintage project car?
I have a 2005 C230K sedan and i've searched to no avail for our particular steering wheel. I'm looking for a full suede or alcantara wrap. Only place I found a full leather wrap is amazon. I'm still in the search though.

It’s not a tidy finish you have creases in the leather, I gave my car to be done professionally cost is £180 but at least it will be like factory, I appreciate the video but not impressed with your finish, I mean every time you sit in the car you have to look at it
