Budget 4K Editing - CHEAPER Than the M2 Mac Mini

- Finding a computer to handle smooth 4K editing can be tough with all the options out there, especially one that is budget friendly. In this video, I want to present one of the most budget friendly options to edit 4K video. The new M2 Mac Mini is already priced very competitively at $600. However, if you need to limit your budget further to edit 4K videos, this is a really viable option. It's not going to replace the M2 Mac Mini experience, but this has an experience of its own...and it's not even a current generation product.

Editing this video on the iPad Air 4 with LumaFusion was buttery smooth. No lags, crashes, frame drops, or any issues for that matter. I exported as an H.265 MP4 with a HDR Wide Gamut. I was also editing off my Samsung T7 SSD and exported to my SSD. Export time was an impressive 3 minutes for a 8 min 4K video! Whether you're a student or just getting started in creating videos, I hope this video was helpful. If there are any other budget friendly 4K editing setups, please drop it down below!
Nice mouse! there was some weird stuttering.. not sure if it was just on my end but i appreciate you suggesting more budget options.
My iPad Pro is my favorite device to edit on and it’s not even close
Wow that is so smart! The best on the go setup for sure! By the way what keyboard is that, I really want one!
@BillyVisuals Seriously, it's impressive for what it can do at the price range. It's the Keychron K4 keyboard
Love this video!
What hub are you using with the iPad?
Just some random USB C hub that I use on my MacBook. Got it off Amazon
hi thanks for the review. i have confused btw mac mini m2 24gb 1tb and imac 16gb 1tb. which one do u suggest, just lightroom usage
@grunge2557 for Lightroom and photo editing, either of those options will be more than enough and will perform great. However, with the Mac Mini, you would need to purchase or have a separate monitor. For photo editing, you'll also need a good monitor with accurate colors. If the iMac fits your budget, I would recommend going with that since it has a screen and a really good screen too.
@@mattchungz thanx for your suggest, what if mac mini m2 pro vs imac? do you suggest imac again or should i wait for new gen imac?
@grunge2557 the iMac is due for an upgrade soon since it’s still using the M1 chip. It’s still more than enough power for Lightroom usage. The M2 Pro Mac Mini is obviously more powerful but maybe overkill if you’re only using Lightroom. Plus you would need to purchase a monitor. The iMac screen is already a 4.5k Retina display so you’re getting a really nice display built in.
Well now the mac mini m2 is $499 and comes with $100 gift card (education price)
What a deal
whats your monitor?
@TanyaIslam it’s the Samsung UR55
