Just as a small aside since I never see it mentioned in build videos, axe hopper lets you saed backwards relative to your starting facing, which is an option grounded saed simply doesnt have. This sounds small at first but it means that you have a bit more freedom of aiming which is helpful against monsters that move around a lot, such as zinogre, tobi kadachi, etc. This allows for a somewhat more aggressive style since you dont have to guard point for openings.

I was a little confused about the set tbh, but I'm only like 10 hrs into master rank. I've played mh3u and mhw in the past for many many hours so I suspect I'll pick it up quickly. Is berserker the meta for charge blade?
Regarding the cpp, have you ever noticed a small delay between actually using a wirebug and being able to counter a single hit attack? Sometimes when I use this counter right before an attack I still get hit from an attack even though it consumes a wirebug.
Typically, the main way you can get hit with a single hit attack is if it somehow reaches behind your shield, bypassing CPP entirely. ie Monsters whose head dangles behind your shield during a roar can cause you to waste a wirebug just because of bad positioning. I notice it way more when trying to record hunts on switch because the thing I'm seeing is delayed, so i have to preemptively CPP and be in the right spot or get hit trying to.
Like I fill up my Philes with red shield etc and sometimes when I left it rip for big damage and it doesn’t come out but the philes disappear like it was used
My total number on the dummy rounds a 3600 with the saed, i mostly use all 90% crit min, with crit boost, crit elem, elem exploit and something i dont remember. Is that a good number? I have a few slots of decorations with redirection and evade extend just for a bit more survival, but since i rarely use redirection because i forget im gona try see if i can put bloodrite or any more damage dec
Phial damage doesnt crit, so for saed, its less of a priority. You wanna invest attack for impact or element for element. Css focuses more on crits cuz you wanna max out your tick and chopping damage.
The two main cases that happened to me where saeds 'fizzle' are: 1)dragon blight is active while using element phial. Dragon blight negates element damage and element phial damage is 99% element damage. 2) the saed clips into any kind of wall. Phials gets 'eaten' if aimed into a wall.

Glad this helped. Imo, the meta comp is better for sets, videos in general are better for showcasing combos.

Thanks. I feel like its actually a 'meta' way to play charge blade. I cut the non practical combos.
