    This is just scratching the surface of how heavy Hardy has gotten with his last 2 projects. If you like this, you need to keep listening to him

    Listen to Jim Bob and Jack. Jim Bob is straight metal and Jack has a great grunge vibe to it. Hardy is the best in the business right now.

    I’m in sorta the same boat as you….. always been a rock/metal fan for the most part. In my 30’s before I started really listening to country but I’m here for it. Yes I agree the blending of rock, country, and some rap can be awesome. I love seeing these all blend together!!

    I really hope y'allternative takes off. I grew up in TN as a post-hardcore fan so more of this would be REAL nice

    0:26 If you aren't familiar with them you should check out He Is Legend. Really amazing solid southern hard rock/metal band, I'd recommend Electronic Throat or Louds to start :)

    Came for the song. Hardy can do totally country (I recommend “wait in the truck”) to totally metal (I recommend “kill shit till I die”) he’s my favorite artist right now. I have never been a country fan but I listen to all his country stuff too because his lyrics are so good.

    a lot of his fans are country because country is his roots. he started off as a song writer for several country artists and some of them convinced him to become his own singer and its paid off. but his biggest inspirations are rock and metal bands but being from Mississippi he couldn't escape the country lol. as rock and metal fans hear about him i think he could become one of the biggest artists ever combing two genres and two fanbases together

    Need to check out more of him! Also check out Koe Wetzel. Jared who used to be the drummer for Fit For A King is now his drummer. He doesn’t do the scream but definitely has that grit and has heaviness in guitar and drum

    The thing i love about Hardy is that he made everyone else before him by writing their country songs and then he was like, screw that I'm doin this as a solo artist.
    And it took off

    Hardy is the perfect product of the generation of parents that introduced us to KISS and Motley as toddlers and graduated to Nickelback and Hinder as preteens, went through a (probably never ended) emo phase and found themselves more into yeehaw than they expected; and then that's what Hardy is. He is the originator of Y'allternative

    Bro, great job. Hardy= multi-year CMA Artist of the year. Multi-year CMA Songwriter of the Year. Before anything else, he considers himself a poet. He says his goal is for the listener to “feel something big” when they hear his lyrics. Like me, he grew up in the South and listened to rock (Nirvana, Linkin Park, etc). It’s insane to me that he is the first to truly blend the two. We are an ignored demographic until now. The new lambing js all rock. The previous one is the Mockingbird and the Crow. Half is country and the other half rock, with the sing by the albums title as the hinge point. You must react to that video. Gives perfect context. “The Mockingbird and the Crow”. Nothing else from him before. Please. Plus, the video is the most badass claymation you’ve ever seen. Bonus. Anyway, everything was pretty much country for him before that album.

    You should check out some Tommy Johansson. He's a power metal singer, former guitarist of Sabaton, lead singer/guitarist for his own band Majestica and does a ton of solo stuff, uploading almost every Fri to his YT channel. He covers everything from Disney to Celline to metal, adding edge to all. Phenomenal voice and instrumentalist. Also, similar vein, Erik Gronwall. Another power metal singer, former lead singer for HEAT and Skid Row, also does a ton of solo stuff on his YT channel. Cheers!

    When you call out everything that is going to happen before it does and pause it at the perfect break....you have heard this before. No one can guess all that without ever seeing hardy sing. I usually don't care but your annoying the he'll out of me. Just calling you out.

    • @realBlakeX
      @realBlakeX 2 місяці тому +1

      When you've been doing reactions for 5 years, you have an instinct for when a big hook or transition is coming. It's typically considered embarrassing when reactors DON'T have that pausing skill. You're welcome to believe what you want, of course.
