TLC please stop giving this girl a platform. Who would it benefit? She is not getting healthier, which seemed to be the whole idea in the first season. She only complains to make herself feel better, which is not a healthy thing to demonstrate. It really is glorifying being obese, which is a problem. It hurts the body positivity movement and makes a mockery of it. As a tall woman who naturally has wider hips, it hurts me because she completely ruins any body positivity for anyone. She makes me feel like there is something wrong with me, although I live a healthy lifestyle. She drags down those who are successful, thin, and men who are not interested in her. She is a horrible role model and should not be given the platform to show her unhealthy mentality and physicality.

They are making her do things she can't and prove from episode to episode that she is the only one to blame for her obesity. She is a joke, and they are showing you that. That's the point people like me mock. people such as yourself should have no shame about the way you are genetically built or the family traits you physically possess and i have no issue with the movement in that sense. I believe fatness is not genetic seeing as how most fat people i have met seem to blame their genetics for the issue although the world wide percentage of people with hypothyroidism and the few other genetic issues that cause obesity are less than 6% 456 million people out of 7.6 BILLION so either these people are lying or our statistics are wrong ill take the former. other than the decision making involved in saying no to food i do not believe genetics plays any part especially considering that obesity is an issue no other generation in recorded history has dealt with. the problem arises when we see people attaching themselves to a movement in order to make society change for their feelings in lieu of them making the change to be healthier both physically and mentally. and to add to your point, as a straight white male who lives by the golden rule of treat others as you want to be treated i am sick of being the scapegoat for everyone's issues and having my thoughts and speech policed because of it.

I dont see why people defend this woman. There's an Ama on Reddit for the comedian Kerryn. Before being invited to that radio show she did her homework. She saw previous episodes of this show- she wasn't making assumptive, oppressive statements about Whitney's health or attitude when she confronted Whitney. She had already seen what she was getting herself into and came prepared to speak directly.
Furthermore, every. Single. Woman. In this show that isn't massaging Whitney's feelings (or god forbid her ass) is suddenly a "bitch" who's "attacking" her. I've noticed that people like her have to cling to their small accomplishments to feel valid for their state now. amberlynn says that she lost 85 lb and whitney says she lost 100. they cling to something that they did- and couldn't manage to fulfil completely- to justify how they are now. i dont really think you can say that you lost weight if you didn't keep it up, especially if you've gained more than you lost prior. it's ridiculous.
