I've been watching your CEUs on UA-cam and all I can say is I'm astounded with the amount of information you're able to condense and combine to create content that covers almost all angles. If there was a nickname I'd suggest it would be Dr. DOS. While it doesn't quite fit your initials, it's extremely close. While it doesn't quite contain your level of precision, it does reference the core system of the previous version of computers and the code in which one would have to delve. That would be grueling and meticulous, but the payoff you don't ever see viscerally is similarly present

Excellent video Doc Snipes. I recently had the opportunity to read Gary Champan's Five Love Languages. As I was listening to you speak in this video I was reminded of the importance of not only understanding our own love language, emotions and feelings; but others as well. You did a great job highlighting the fact that we need to be aware that what may work for us may not work for others and it's important to be respectful of that. I know for myself I am a sensory person who pays a great detail of attention to non verbal cues. I have found that this has helped me to understand and empathize with what others may be feeling without them saying a word. Physical connection through hugging, hand shake or high five whether it's to say hello, show affection or console someone is a big part of who I am. As you stated though some people may not be comfortable with that type of interaction especially after COVID and for many other reasons. By recognizing that I have learned the importance of setting healthier boundaries with not only myself, but others as well. Now instead of assuming that if I see someone upset that they need a hug, I ask them first and depending on their response I then know how to proceed. One of the other take aways I loved from this video is that if you see someone doesn't seem right or acting out of character it ok to ask them how they are doing and then accept their response. By letting someone know that you are there for them if they need to talk once again lets them know you care and also that you respect their boundaries.💛 Thank you Doc Snipes for all of your wisdom that you shared in this video. It was very helpful. 😊

@@DocSnipes I applied a lot of of what I learned from this video throughout my day today and it felt great. After watching this video I realized I hadn't spoken to my best friend outside of our group text for over a week which is definitely out of character for her and us. I thought of this video reached out to her to see if she was ok and she wasn't. Then she told me how she felt and I said it's ok, don't feel like that and she said but I did and I thought of the video again, paused and apologized in the moment for unintentionally invalidating her feelings. I was trying to lift her up, but I wasn't and by recognizing that in the moment and apologizing and validating that she had every right to feel as she did even if I felt differently really helped her to feel understood and allowed her to be vulnerable and open with me on the other things she was feeling. 💛 It was a great video Doc Snipes and the beauty of our healing paths is that every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow and improve ourselves if we choose to not only for of us, but for those around us as well.💛🌱

How to maintain composure and awareness when you are interacting with toxic loved ones literally baiting you with their every word, body language, and facial expressions the very moment you say hello? Basically when you have barely engaged with them, have come mindfully prepared for the interaction, and yet leave the encounter with the finger pointed once again at you as though you're the crazy one?
In any other situation I am very mindful and even if I feel extreme emotions internally, I am able to identify and maintain my composure. Is the vulnerability with my loved ones my very presence in the room?
