My dad gave me one of those Swiss army SD classic miniature keychain knives back in 1979.. I've had one on all my keychains ever since.. blade.. a fingernail file with a screwdriver tip.. it can be used to file other things and the screwdriver tip can tighten regular screws and Phillips screws in a pinch... A wonderful little pair of scissors.. a fantastic little tweezers And a toothpick all in a tiny little knife.. I don't go anywhere without mine
Yes, those little knives are very handy. I have a few scattered around in case I need them. I love the scissors. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. All the Best - Stan
as a boo boo kit its fairly comprehensive. I like the painting Idea keeping it simple. and the diy ranger bands thats a gold nugget right there. Ive been thinking about putting together a first aid tin and this one gave me a fair idea on where to start.
Great video. I like how you painted the tin so you can tell it's a first aid kit. I have lots of tins and they all look a like so this is a good way to tell the difference. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for watching and sharing the video. glad you liked it! I play with tins all the time and mod a lot. I will be showing them also in future vids . Thx-DS
So many good ideas! Painting the tin is a good idea, honestly I've never thought about that. I'm honing to use this vid as inspiration for my own kit. Thanks Stan! Excellent!
Nice, My nephew is in scouts his Troup has not really done anything like this they have them do reports and things like that, but I think I'm going to have him do this, with the camp out coming up I think it would be good for him. Thanks again....now you have my wheels turning.
I say I'm going to make one of these. I also have a food saver and will vacume pack the tin when I'm done. I ALWAYS have problems keeping things dry. even the most trusted methods and dry bags fail me lol. Great video!!!
Great that you painted the tin to easily identify it as a first aid kit. You might want to add some immodium and a small straw tube of orajel (benzocaine) for toothaches.
Thanks for watching and the comments.. I don't think there was room left enough I could have fit a BB in it. For toothache there was the Tylenol. I will put that in future kits though, even though I have never had a toothache in my life except for wisdom teeth. You never know and then someone with me may need it. Thanks again for watching and sharing - DS
Yes, I did. I sprayed it white first. I then used masking tape for the cross and painted over everything with red. Then removed the tape. Thank you very much for watching and for the compliment. All the Best - Stan
Hi, great video! May I suggest that you list all that's included on the video description? Just so it's easier to take note of/print. Thanks and again, great job!
A video I made, for a challenge I gave to the scouts I help work with; to build the best first aid kit, with only items that they could fit in the tin.
+Jose Ruvalcaba Yes Jose, I did. I Painted the top white, then taped a cross with painters tape, then spray painted it red, then pealed off the tape. Thanks for commenting and watching
+Deep South Experience Nice, I have seen people make amazing things out of Altoids tins. That mini medkit looks smooth and cool. Do you take that medkit everywhere you go?
Jose Ruvalcaba Pretty much so. It is in my day bag. I have others larger serious ones for my camps and hikes. Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to do a video on my primary. I got tagged to do one. I will be doing more Altoid tin kits and lots of other gets. It is kind a my thing putting these together.
Gave you a thumbs down because.."A challenge to the scouts I help work with, to build the best first aid kit, with only items that they could fit in the tin."" Your kit needed a black pouch to get everything in....
