  • Root systems regulate their branching patterns in response to environmental stimuli. Lateral root development in both monocotyledons and dicotyledons is enhanced in response to Inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi, which has been interpreted as a developmental response to specific, symbiosis-activating chitinaceous signals. We need the same video, but with cannabis seeds. Watching the root grow is amazing!

Indeed, also interesting would be then a comparison between different products as they have anything from just one strain of mykorrhiza to several endo(ekto strains , then there are still other fungi and certain bakteria that are beneficial to plants. The combinatory possibilities are endless and i am not convinced we have the best options already availiable though there are a few even cheaply available products that seem to do the job just fine without buying specialised for cannabis advertised products which are money making scheems.

Mycorrhizae are meant to be applied directly to a root system. If you apply it as seen here, most of the spores will be eaten by bacteria in your medium. Only way adding this much does anything is if the media will is inert (no life). It looks like your media contains life, but I am not sure. But that is why there was no benefit. In fact. It looked like your soil w/ myco was rotting. It just looked sort of wrong the whole time. It could’ve been hurting more than helping.

You left roots in the first container, you used more water in container # 2 to remove rootball. They look very similar, media grew faster.

Faster doesn’t mean better. The nutrients being traded in the micro+ container would have been vastly different and it can also help with transplant shock.

Do next video with perlite and without it. Perlite should help roots, but not sure if it increase root growth or keep them alive with better health due extra oxygen that it provides. That being sayd healthy plant always grow fast, but as example; if you feed plants with some vitamins it won't increase growth but makes plants stress less and everytime they stress (if they do) they slow down the growth so it's not to accelerate progress but prevent it never stopping and allowing plant grow with its 100% natural potential all the time. Things that do accelerate growth is CO₂ with magnesium (Magnesium is mineral that plant needs to take CO₂ from air into it's cells)

That being sayd interesting video to see that there is no differences in short time and my local store got normal coco coir or coco coir with mycorrhiza at 70liter package and price difference is like 1 or 2 euro only so I always buy one with rhiza rather.

It's pretty expensive but getting a big bag is better.

@nstipet Actual science with case studies have proven the effectiveness of mycorrhizae. Tell scientists at Stanford University and ALL OTHERS that mycorrhizae doesn't vastly increase nutrient uptake by working as an extension of the roots and they will laugh in your face. Same as with photons, you can grow a sunflower with 200 ppfd, but at 700 ppfd, you'll have bigger, healthier plants. Using mycorrhizae is about optimizing growth.
