he also started doing videos almost daily and yeah I bet he will start making more league drama videos too so asmon can react , but hey bro is from a 3rd world country and thats a good cashflow no one can blame him
I love how necrit even predicted a huge lore drop. He said that last time when there was a lore drought, Riot was planning something big. It happened twice already, the reconstruction of lore and introduction of Universe and the Ruination event.
Here's how to "predict the future" in a similar situation another time: If a professional studio/organisation stop producing something, but doesn't fire people; those people are working on something different.
@@nivyanwell they did fire and let go many writers
Arcane is canon
He did go to Riot HQ some time ago recently...
@@nivyan They kinda lost most of the lore team and had to reconstruct the team for whole year. And, as Necrit says, it's may be because of the decision of uniting the universe, some people in the team didn't want this, so they left\got fired. they just hate the community cuz its toxic. which is funny because they made it toxic themselves and then beg riot to fix their mental health issues

If there is no permanence then choices don't matter. If in one universe Varian meets his fate on the broken shore but in the other universe he is just fine then it cheapens the tragedy of what happens in the other universe. Good story telling takes risks and accepts it's permanence in order to develop it's setting or characters.
The fact that everything that will happen from now on will alter the main universe makes it more way more exciting
That doesn't even make sense. Each universe is it's own thing and the things that happen in them stay that way. If Vi died in Arcane, then people would still be sad. Vi wouldn't suddenly come back in the next season.
@@Squeekysquid Just like how every MCU fan didn't care that Tony died, since in the comics they don't read he's alive? I'd say most arcane fans didn't even know what League of Legends was before the show. Marvel is trying to make all their media like the MCU, and all it's doing is making the fans who actually consume that media to hate the random swerve that is happening.
The smartest thing Riot did was announce they want to start making an MMO and then let the community build it for them with speculation. They'll just pick the best parts and use those.

@@lv4715 Society also saw the rise of the KKK, not all change is good change especially when its coming from a cult of hatred.
it's not really speculation. the writing pretty much sets up the story and events. we WILL fight Mordekaiser when he comes back, we WILL have to face the void. that's not something made up by the community, and there are so so many more of these moments that will happen at some point.
Riot is one of the best at listening to feedback, even if whiny League players try to tell you otherwise. They often change directions and update/rework Champions based on player feedback and even go back on some of their decisions, at least in terms of gameplay (monetization can be iffy).
So yeah, announcing it early was definitely an intentional move to gauge player's expectations and what they want (and don't want) most.

The whole point Asmongold makes about time travel is pretty accurate. When you’re able to go back in time and change events, nothing in the present has any weight to it anymore. The funny thing is that these ideas were basically addressed many years ago. Watch an old episode of the original twilight zone.
”Back There”, is the episode I’m thinking of. Basically it says that we can change some small aspects of the past if we were to go back there. But the larger events that shape the reality of the present are immutable and unchangeable. Because too many separate threads of reality lead to that point.
that a theory, we yet to practically prove it
@@Aiveq no, you are absolutely right it is a theory but to me it makes sense, because if you think about it critical events, that transpire seldom happen from one little action. Because to assume so I doesn’t take into account anyone else but yourself or the person /thing in question that causes that action. I feel like many factors in the tapestry of fate align in such a way where one strand alone would hardly make a difference.

The thing about a multiverse for league is that it actually works if its revolved around skin lines. Should the mmo release with all the original content (the factions, just the champs no skins, etc) then they are able to use the skinlines to portray alternate timelines and/or set up a multiverse even if its just for events. This game could pull it off unlike many before it.
League skins have become incredibly bad though. Nothing has identity anymore, everything is just some flavor of korean e boy or e girl in cosplay that vaguely fits with a theme.
When Asmon mentions that Riot in a lot of ways has become what Blizzard used to be, it’s interesting to note that their first game had its roots in a Warcraft 3 mod. They were born out of Blizzard and went on to pick up their torch.
Yet, unlike say Square Enix, who tried to some extent to do the same with FFXIV vs WoW(from how I understand it, viewing it as someone not directly involved in either one), Riot's whole brand is surrounding this same IP(outside of Valorant), and they know where WoW failed. Not only that, but they have taken longer with their Source, to iron things out, as well as put out more things related to that same source. League has been going on now for 14yrs, and the Warcraft series had been 10yrs by the time WoW came out. The combination of more technical potential, plus seeming to be more involved with their fans, may end up resulting in an even bigger boom than WoW(at least at launch). Plus, there is a greater Marketing potential between their numerous IPs, yes, but also quite simply more people are on the internet now. Its hard to say if the game will last, if not impossible, but at the very least there will be a lot of people at launch, and they also have a good general track record for their games.
You could make a pretty easy arguement for Blizzard being the same way you are saying Riot is as well, but with Games Workshop via Warhammer. Due to how simular Warcraft seems to be to Warhammer Fantasy of that time, and how simular Starcraft is to Warhammer 40k. Yet, at this point, Warhammer has very much outlasted Blizzard lol.
@@fenrirsilver6441 Riot is not going to do a crap more different and its never going to hit peak like wow did back in 2004 where it became a cultural phenomenal following years. Those MMORPG times are long gone and its mostly just fortnite and Minecraft/Roblox which are going to have the main spotlight going forward until another shooter game pops up, or a single player game. Also league story is a clusterfuck and too generic it lacks identity, not to mention devs nowadays are so far out of touch from how games are supposed to be made other than steal and copy the same formula again and again, etc. It might get hyped for a month and then die out like the other 100 "wow-killers", but given how safe Riot is because it knows if it makes something different than "league" or a rip off (Valorant) with the same style as league it will not succeed. The best companies like Square enix (old), Blizzard (old), Bioware (old) could make several IPs that became mega success franchise and even in different genres, instead of grifting off 1 IP for 14 years and is the only thing they are known for. You could also put Fromsoftware in this category to some degree (atleast they have made several games in the past with varying degree of success), once they go off the "souls" genre (which they are known for and made them as big) their games are mediocre, this is where Riot is right now.
@@Jekiterio I don’t play league anymore, there is a lot of things I personally am not the biggest fan of with it. Nor will I make any assumptions the MMO will last long, there is too little info on gameplay of any kind. I don’t even think very many people have labeled it as a WoW killer, and definitely not the devs. While there may be some truth to the decline of mmos in general, but it’s also hard to stay, as there are much more of them out there(so the player-base *could* just as easily be spread out). All I said is at minimum, there should be a ton of players at launch, just from marketing and track record, as well as using parallels in the past. It’s on Riot to make that player-base stick, and there is zero way to know either way(if they will or not), unless you are a time traveler.
As far as copy/paste games, nothing and I mean nothing, lives in a vacuum. Everything takes from something, it’s just a matter of how much if a melting pot one thing is. Which, while some individual champion stories are in fact quite generic or even nonexistent, they do have over 160 champions now(I think?). It’s understandable if they spread themselves too thin, now however they have a great and monumental foundation. Again, it’s on them to do something with it and only time will tell if that happens. Using Arcane as the base for now, with Legends of Runeterra as supplementary lore, with the core League short stories and others filling in the gaps. Then there is also Riot Forge, the sandbox of stories they can tell from it is quite large. They have potential for some longevity, it’s just a matter of if they will grab hold of the needed opportunities.
I am far from a Riot fanboy, haven’t played League in years now, and have only played Ruined King when it comes to the Riot Forge stuff. I have built some decks in Legends of Runeterra and tried my hand at that, but mostly as a fan of CCGs(specifically MTG, Hearthstone, Faeria, Gwent, Yu Gi Oh, and Shadowverse… some more so than others while Yu Gi Oh was only irl, MTG is both irl and online). Only played Valorant for the first 5-6 months or so, and that’s because I never was a fan of shooters. Never really got into team fight tactics, but I did try it, and never even played that new 2v2v2 or whatever(idk if it’s even a separate game of not). Despite all the above, what I can say is their current games have retention. People continue to play them, and so whether they complain about them or not, something keeps them going.
Also, last small tidbit, the amount of different IPs has nothing to do with it, so long as they aren’t milking it dry. It’s far from the state of the current MCU lol.
@@Jekiterio "Also league story is a clusterfuck and too generic it lacks identity" wdym by that? the story is great and it doesn't lack any identity, or explain to us how does it lacks of it? if the riotmmo is the next "big" mmo it's for a reason, because everyone love their lore because it's good and now they made it better by making ONE universe and not a multiverse as they used to, you can argue about how the gameplay surely won't be innovative or how it won't be a wow killer but the lore is even better than WoW as of right now lol

You absolutely have to retcon the past to ensure consistency. Remember the first league cinematic? All the champs were avatars of actual summoners, that got quickly forgotten about
I've been playing League of Legends since the beginning and I've been following the lore all this time so I think I can briefly explain the canonity of the events.
Basically the history of the game's universe changed many times over time, in the beginning we were summoners who chose champions to fight in Summoner's Rift, as the characters' history became complex and the developers realized the potential of the world they created, new characters began to have more developed stories than just champions chosen to fight, and old characters were readapted to fit into a world where everything has a meaning and which stopped being just an excuse for a multiplayer game, which is why some recently released things didn't were canonical and then became so after the history of the universe was readapted.
Are we still summoners summoning champions or has that lore been scraped?
@@SpeakerSnakethat lore has been scrapped.
@@nejiharunowhich is fkin stupid. The institute of war and actually having Factions settle wars inside the summoner's rift by choosing 5v5 champions to duke it out was such a cool concept. now it makes no sense for champions, especially demigods and actual gods fighting an ordinary dude like Darius. why? how? when?(do champions get teleported to the rift randomly to just fight for no reason whatsoever? do they get duplicated to fight as echoes?). the lore rework was nice to make a circle map more fleshed out but the fact that the institute does not exist makes you question why tf the SUMMONER'S RIFT exists.
@@Chinuch330 U have pretty strong opinions about it :D. I myself haven't played any LOL games and have no knowledge of Lore (except Arcane, because Arcane is Epic). I agree with Riot that if there was such a mess of "multiverses", scrapping old and unnecessaries and creating one Unified world is good thing. Both for newcomers and Oldtimers to make Lore more streamline.
But your concern too, about Summoner's Rift (which as I get is Main LOL MOBA game 5v5) is more logical by "Player/Diety/Eldrich Horror" being this otherworldly being who summons LOL world characters and uses them as his incarnation to dominate the Arena.
So, I hope maybe they will somehow incorporate this idea, or make some kind of institute which will explain this phenomena.
@Chinuch330 It was a much better concept and I liked how it still had relevancy in the back story of characters: The Wars were so devastating that they'd rather duke it out on Summoner's Rift than keep the onslaught happening in the rest of of the world. And yeah it allowed the demigod-like beings to essentially be suppressed into an even playing field against normal humans like Darius and Garen

Fate Grand Order does multiverse well. It gives the staple figure characters an ability to explore different extremes of their core personality and opens up avenues for the stories to weave to a Canon timeline because the game in itself explores time in abstract ways.
I just want a MMO where you're just an adventurer. Not "The Champion" or some pre-destined savior of the world.
^this
Agreed. I'm seeing so many people want to be the champions in-game, or have their abilities, but I feel as though being just a simple adventurer that gets roped into things sounds more interesting?
Pretty much: less Wayfinder, more Final Fantasy or Monster Hunter.
Runescape should count.
I just want one that isn’t grinding the same quest for 80 hours just to get to the good parts of the game
I want an in between. I dont want to be an already existing champion. It'd be kinda lame if everyone can be the same, i want to be unique. Plus i also want to meet every champion in the game itself. Ya cant do that if you're already playing as them. But i also dont want to be some random schmuck born on a farm, i like feeling like im important in some way in those kinds of games and can cause an impact. So essentially imagine if in the character creation menu you can make your character look like one. As if you're designing your own champion that league just so happened to not add.
If you dont get what im saying let me give an example. Imagine if Jax never existed. Riot never made him and he was just poofed from everyone's minds. Now imagine if you just so happened to make Jax in the creation menu and as you went about in the world you got the powers Jax got, the clothes Jax wears, the weapons he uses and act like him. The only thing is that you dont start fully as the champion Jax, you just got the looks of a champion. You might look like him but you have no powers, no strength, no cool attire or armor. You still get the feeling of growing stronger (instead of already being at the top like most existing champs) throughout your journey while acquiring all the things that'd make you a champion, as if your character could really exist in league of legends in-game. you'd need the clothes, the powers the personality to really make him Jax. So everyone would feel unique, important and also like they're the underdog growing to BE someone. Everyone would be a "champion". That's what i mean by an in between.
The problem mainly is 10 percent of the champions are outdated and never consistently explained through lore.
More like everyone's favorite champions are outdated. By overly complex trash/invulnerable that most people don't give a shit about.
The lores been pretty fluid the entire time, I played league since beta over 10 years ago. I read every champions 'short story'. These characters stories are nostalgic to me now. So it's nice when they stick to them faithfully, ofc they need more depth and complexity. It's a videogame story.
I remember just after the lol beta the main form of lore delivery was a fake jornal, it was somewhat fun with the player comments sometimes being referenced. I also remember that a important lore moment at the time, the end of the noxian occupation of Ionia, was decided by a rel game, it was a great event back when e-sports were crawling. Also, Udyr was op on that.

or u can be a degen like me and start playing after taking a 4 yr+ break. gonna make it out of bronze before season end baby!
My concern I have with the Riot MMO is the sheer scope of the game.
There are so many races they have to incorporate and so many areas they need to include.
I mean, I can't wait to travel between Piltover and Zaun.
And just the idea of fighting Urgot or Aurelian'sol is going to be so epic!
The sheer scope is not *really* a problem, because they are under no obligation to give it all to us at once :D
Let's pretend that they released the MMO tomorrow and all we've got access to is initially something like Noxus/Demacia/Freljord only, in which we might see a few individual characters or NPCs that originate from other later-to-be-released regions, EG. Shurima, Ionia etc. but until those expansions are released, which might be years from "tomorrow", they have all the time they need to build them and the things in there ^^
Much like how in WoW, the expansions open new territories - the difference being that whereas WoW "only" had the warcraft lore to go off of and then had to reinvent new stuff, Riot already have an immense world that they can segregate into more than just let's say 3 expansions, with already pre-existing lore to build around.
In other words, the fact that we've got such an immense amount of lore for Runeterra already, means that they've got the foundations laid out for years worth of expansions to the game where they need not invent new landmasses, regions, territories or races, because they already exist. Instead they can focus on good design/gameplay around the already existing stuff, for when it is to be implemented into the game. ^^
If you gonna think about it, when WoW was released back in 2004, just by amount of maps alone no other MMO was even close, and that was 19 years ago, even now MMOs doesn't release with as much "world" than Vanilla WoW had.

no the map are a few years older than the MMO announcement. but i'm 100% sure they thought about the map making into a game some day (they have pitched many MMOs in the past, as far back as 2013)
one great aspect about this too is that you can in theory pick up any game riot has made or is producing, and get the general vibe of the universe. Their new fighting game also looks really good, and the big tanky darius moved like a big tanky character in fighting games. This gives anyone a basis of gameplay if they played or watched them in any game/show. Thats what made warcraft 3 becoming an mmo so great. You got to play as some of the different heros and special units as classes, and interact with people that you developed a story with through its campaigns.
The only issue that can a rise is no further progression of the story because its split so much across so many different things. Arcane is a good way to move plot in the universe; however, it has a long production time and therefor a long lull in story progression. Even with wow, sure expansions come every 2-3 years, but there are so many story elements that build within each expansion that that one season of arcane cant keep up with.
It really comes down to how they want their lore engine to operate, and where the most eyeballs will see it. If the mmo is really popular, between major balance updates, new skins, new lore tid bits droping every couple months in some of their games could help move a story forward that isnt the show to allow for a great over aching universe.
There also is the risk of pumping out lore too fast that you run out of juice before you have more fruit squeeze, so committing to a 2-3 year major lore drop in the arcane show and building things around that in different games could meter-out the flow of juice so they have enough time to make more.
I think the scale is bigger then we think. Riot themselves have their hands in a few mmorpgs which are set to release before the riot mmo, it’s possible they are gonna implement or include systems that worked.
The two games are Pax Dei and Hytale, both games riot funds and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are gonna be using their successes to bolster the riot mmo
Hytale will be more of a RPG than a MMO, but there will be servers like WynnCraft trying to do an MMO in it for sure
Hytale is not an MMO. it's an RPG sandbox.
Multiverses aren't stupid. The writers, especially the ones in the MCU, are stupid. There are a lot of amazing stories that involve going in and out of another universe. The writers in the MCU right now don't know what the hell they're doing. Secret Wars was a long and complex storyline that includes almost every single superhero you could think of. The one in the MCU is not that.

It’s funny how now technically Necrit is cannon cuz they made a character after him in both Ruined King and Legends of Runeterra
It sounds like Arcane was insanely popular so they want to push it into everything. The same thing happened with Marvel after the MCU became insanely popular.
"Riot is the New Blizzard" That statement is basically a curse.
Would've been a cursed saying for a decade ago but Blizzard is insistently making it true each year.
Technically it still has to be a multiverse because skinline universes like project star guardian\dark star etc idk how tf they could make any of those cannon
I wouldn't say Riot games are "good", I'd say they are "well-made." In the sense that they are visually appealing, not buggy, and optimized. But their games are extremely derivative and tedious, not to mention filled with toxicity and over-monetization. Never has Riot made a step forward for the industry, they just steal ideas and add a child-friendly paintjob and aggressive monetization. Riot's games are at Genshin Impact tier. They have a lot of fans, but if you actually watch the fans play their games, they look like someone is forcing them to play it.

Riot might be on the holy grail there. They make a new animated series. Boom new content for the MMO. They make new champions for LoL? New content for the MMO. That might both be efficient, and exciting.
Will Asmon ever react to the other Riot MMO videos that Necrit made like the Legendary Loot and Raid Bosses videos?
you deserve a veteran's discount if you remember the Journal of Justice
Hell yeah.... Specially my favorite part... Old Volibear chasing zilean about his runes
Loved how campy it was, even if it was too campy at times...
W/ how many times Rito has retconned, is even this an on-ramp?
"they don't hate the game, they just hate playing it sometimes" - That applies to all games that are not easy to beat/win at. It's in our nature to be frustrated when things get hard, but the other side of the coin is the pleasure and satisfaction we get when we overcome/beat it.
To asmongolds point about time travel it already exists in the universe Ekko has the ability to travel back in time and zilean is a time wizard but the way that their characters work they never truly effect the story outside of their own stories because of how expansive the world is and how limited the world is
Also this Video is great because it’s just an Elaborate Flex from leagues very own loremaster telling us that he is right
Btw ekko can only travel a few seconds back in the past
@@dooddoingstuff like I said limited abilities and even then we have all seen in game and arcane how effective that ability is but like think about using that ability in a lore situation does it only effect him or does it effect everyone. I actually think it would be a good idea lore wise to clearly state how Ekkos abilities work they should do this so Ekko doesn’t become lame like tracer who basically has the same ability
I can't wait to immediately pre-register the name Pantheon, and walk around with a Spear and Shield, being a bad ass, standing in the fire and wiping the whole raid.
One problem with them uniting the lore is that the arcane team should not be restricted by the various writers of LoLs lore teams. They make great stories and flesh out characters so well. If Arcane stays independent then LoL will have to continually retcon stuff as their lore will have to update to Arcanes lore.
They can kinda skirt this issue by having any non arcane lore be a bit more generalized and vague to allow more (not complete) freedom with characters.
Why would they? They said arcane lore was canon so are not the ingame champions lore. Problem solved no? And the way the univers of Runeterra works, they dont need to interfere with Pitover region. League is more like a game of throne season 1-5 were each region do their how thing. I dont see a real problem here
@@teeman7137 that is if Arcane wants to stay in just piltover. If S2 comes out and they want to expand into noxus. Or have Ionian characters drop in then it could cross the toes of the lore and rewrite characters. Then what about S3? Who knows what they want to show. I absolutely would hate if the LoL lore team started dictating how the Arcane writers should write.
@@seigiyokota6910 Its already mentioned Arcane is a zaun/piltover only lore.
I feel like its very important to remember that this restructuring of the lore was given a hierarchy. Riot literally said Arcane is at the top and Runeterra is second, these don't need to respect the lore, they ARE the lore. Anything lower on the hierarchy is what gets retconned, and anything in Arcane S2 will replace what exists until eventually all the inconsistencies are gone. It will be a slow process but it will work if handled well.
it doesnt really matter. anyone who remembers LoL journal of justice will remember how random original LoLs lore was,
Personally i always thought that the three versions of the lore respected the concept of legends, where it is told differently regarding where you are, with the « sometimes long ago » etc

“I’m canon now”
Well about that……
He is canon already actually
Been canon for about 2 years now and he’s powerful. Dudes the arcanist/chronicle for viago (pre death). Necrit is real. He’s the lord of the safe zone on the shadow isles
My Goat Necrit is actually carrying League Lore behind its back
I honestly hope they do get those celestial beings, demigods, ascended and such as background, like, imagine you are in Targon at night, clear sky, stars, and then you got to see a celestial dragon appearing just for a few seconds, or going to the Freljord, the wild, really wild part, and seeing a storm at the distance with a huge figure with bear like shape roaming around, watching you. It's just...
Or if you fight someone like the Ursine, you get the thing from the cinematic where you see The Volibear in the clouds which would an incredibly epic moment and give so much hype for the upcoming battle - you versus the followers of this demi-god. There is so much potential for environmental manipulation with the ultra powerful beings, especially the celestial ones.
Asmon - WoW I think…
I watch more non-WoW content from Asmon than anything else.
Why did no one tell thanos he could quadruple the resources instead of of culling the population?
Personally, I'm not super hype because the games are good (I enjoy LoR, but I never really got into the other games). I'm super hype because it feels like they are truly creating an entire fantasy world with plenty of love and care. All the champions are basically the main characters in some fantasy novel I would love reading. Arcane was just a slice of the cake; there are a vast number of other crazy upbringings to lead the other champions to become to who they are today. They have put love and care into the cinematics and the champion themes. I salivate at the idea of fighting alongside or against Jax, Pantheon, or Volibear and hearing their epic themes. It feels like everything I've slowly been learning about the world through champion lore, cinematics, Arcane, and the bits of lore in LoR (I even listen to character voicelines and interactions in the different games) are leading up to a game that they are clearly investing a lot of time and effort into creating. So hell yeah I'm hyped.
This right here is exactly how toxic hype starts... just wait for the game....
I don't think that Rito is a modern day Blizzard, rather it's a modern day Valve. TFC and TF2, CS, Dota, L4D and Portal all were created by Valve scouting good young indi creators or mod makers, and paying them to develop a similar game under Valve's brand. That's exactly what Riot forge is.
when devs work in blizzard to get enough experience to retire in riot games
The loremasters and storytellers which were employees at Blizzard and Biowares are now working for Riot and Larian.
Brolaf is still canon, right?
100%
WoW map changing from W3 makes sense in the way cartography and maps evolved in the real world here on Earth.
It's quite poetic how warcraft 3 gave us world of warcraft, arguably the greatest mmo we've ever seen(not anymore ofcourse) And now league of legends which is derivitive of warcraft 3 custom games is potentially giving us the most promising mmo of the future.
Warcraft 3 being the forefather of all the greatest (subjective) games to ever been made
Did you know that originally, Warcraft was meant to be a Warhammer game but part of the way through development they lost the rights to make it Warhammer?
4:07 technically the issue of the multiverse is canonically used to justify skins
15:08 After having followed Ashes since at least 2018 I can safely say that riot's mmo is probably going to come out not only first, but be more sustainable than Ashes. As much as I hate to say it I don't think Ashes is going to really help the genre and it will quickly go the way of lineage 2. In otherwords it's going to become irrelevant and forgotten.
Lineage 2 is certainly not forgotten. But AoC was never meant to be "the next new big thing" anyway, sandbox MMOs are a niche genre.
I so hope Riot will pick the crown up from blizzard
All ready did
I’d say blizzard has a clown hat rather than a crown
@@dachump8536it is rude towards clowns to say that

I'm fine with multiverse stuff if they either don't interact with each other or the story revolves around the fact that the finality of events don't really matter. In DC/Marvel, having a multiverse allows writers to create unique one-off stories without having to worry about the timeline or the main canon. Great stories like Kingdom Come or The Dark Knight Returns couldn't exist if everything had to stay within the confines of a certain canon. For stories that revolve around having a multiverse, Everything Everywhere All At Once is a great movie that explores optimistic nihilism. I agree that a lot of media nowadays are weirdly bloated with multiverse stuff that don't utilize it well, but there are benefits if you know how to use it.
Besides, LoL already does have a multiverse, technically. Ever since the Star Guardian skin line, most skin lines have their own non-canon universe.
Now asmon just needs to finally watch the other two riot videos from necrit. Hes taking too long
The introduction of a multiverse is literally a company saying "We're not confident with the lore we're writing so we need something to fall back on if that fails"
Imagine playing a warrior and dual weilding blood thirster and infinity edge!
ADC players will scream their hearts out 😂
Where did you get that?! Those are my items!!!!!
Funny. Akali can equipe those but caitlyn and tristana will be stuck with static lmao.
The lore is that deep you could make a game about each of the champions and they'd all play so different
*I can't wait to play this game in 20 years* haha
I cant wait to find Necrit in Runeterra, hopefully he has a few quests for us
Man, the editors are popping off
Eh, this would be the 3rd lore change? Maybe 4th? They did an entire rework at least once, and have retconned stuff here and there since. After the big rework I've cared less and less, though Arcane was really good as its own thing.
I think a good use of multiverse stuff is remnant since the multiverse is more like a tree with certain worlds holding up others and the main character on earth has to save it because earth is the "core" and if it goes boom everything else kinda just falls into the abyss and ceases to be so there is both extra stories that they can toy with but definite finality since the "core" only has 1 time line and can't be tampered with without fucking up everything
While i don't really like playing MMO, i might try the Riot one
1:56 actually The Mageseeker is RUINED. Steamchart all time peak around 3000, and then now only playing 12 ppl. LMAO
I never knew riot was making any of these games
The funny thing is that Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, Wild Rift, the fighting game, Arcane, Riot Forge and the other game were ALL announced at the same time 4 years ago in the same trailer together. Is just that people forgot about that announcement for some reason lmao. Still 4 years and there are 2 games left from that announcement to be released. The MMO was the only game that was announced years after tho.
Bless the league 10 year mark that was SO HYPE
It's crazy to think that Warcraft 3 and it's mods birthed Dota, LoL (and in general Mobas) and lead to the popularity and eventual success of WoW. What a legacy!
Don't forget HotS (Blizzard DOTA) and HoN
In 15 years the greatest streamer will be Riotgold which started making Riot's mmos guides
or when you finish a game and then bam your character wakes up and is like that was a crazy dream
If Asmond gives you respect on taking a short video and turning it into a long video that's high praise. That's basically what he does.
@10:40 "This game's based off of Warcraft 3? That's awesome!" I was so sad when I found out there was no good way to be a Troll Berserker.
Riot just needs to make an RTS - with the different factions with heroes leading armies.
and they will be the new blizzard.
Maybe Riot itself won't tackle this, but this is definitely an interesting concept for Riot Forge and a release as a fun medium AA game project, I'd love this aswell!
In all honesty I doubt that the current market would want an RTS...AND you can`t really monetize that. At least I think so.
Riot players can't play even a basic rts game
Mobas are the direct evolution (dumbing down) of RTS games which is what made them so popular in the first place.
Rts games and fighting games are the two hardest genres to get into and the two that put the most accountability on an individual level and thats not good if you want to cater to the masses nowadays.
As much as i would love that, RTS games are not in the best spot right now and i doubt they would put resources into it
00:24 holy shit 3.6k already? I remember when he announced the YT channel. Time really flies.
There is going to be asshats in every community. Both league and vakorant are fairly competitive games which drives a very competitive community so when you play ranked in those games you will find it more likely people getting upset at losing. Here's to hoping this MMO brings new life to the genre that is much sorely needed. Hopefully it's not as demanding graphics wise as some newer mmos and maintains the league of legends animated style.

Editor really adding hot Asmon for the boys.
A perfect example is an older tv show called Fringe. It was absolutely amazing and enjoyable up until you realized that it was a multiverse and the death of the main character didn't actually matter because there was multiple of her and it all fell flat/uninteresting
would love to see asmon to react on the Riots MMO loot and Riots MMO raids and bosses videos as well.
There's no question about it not only the dog is gonna be in game but I strongly feel that it could be a new champion like Sejuani that rides on a mount or from war3 single player story when you play Maiev and Tyrande is with her like a champ on the tiger.
I don't think they will be able to be really consistent troughout their games/movies/etc... Going forward. The universe is too big, they might want to do it but mistakes will definitely happen
yeah. especially when they already did this kind of reset before for the exact reason. and big surprise they learned nothing since then.
Also riot games don’t have as much control as they used to. If tencent decide it’s costing too much money to keep things consistent, this whole idea will get axed
@@pete5516 Well I don't see it being as hard as people think, because instead of reorganizing the whole library all at once, they said from today moving forward, which means keep everything from the last 3 years consistent and moving forward ret con as needed.
@@Purpless_ON they are releasing like 8 different games it is absolutely not going to be consistent. I respect the effort tho
@@ssilentmedia Saying Riot learned nothing out of the first reset is kind of unfair. The plot before the first big retcon was impossible to adapt into a long story and making a universe around was nearly impossible as it basically broke the 4th wall with the summoners (and nothing made sense tbf).
No matter what people say, the LoL story, while it has a couple a plot holes, as now a red string that is clearly understandable by everyone (as long as you don't read too much about the Sentinels of Light...but some parts of it might be retconned hopefully).
With an "overseer" team working full time on story consistency now, I think it's pretty realistic to hope for a consistent story. It might have some flaws here and there, but I doubt it could be worse than Post BfA or WoD.
For once, let's try to be a little optimistic. I'm not saying let's cope about how perfect this thing will be (it won't), but all pointers are leading to a potentially fun game to explore.
