Thank you - great content. Not ideal conditions, but good times there all things considered. I think people aren't taking that into account when trying to compare to the RS3's competition, as in better conditions, this car probably beats all of them. I have a RS3 sportback on order and today got an email from Audi UK confirming it's about to be built. Exciting times! Thanks again and looking forward to you getting your RS3!

What build week was you? Mine was originally 47 but not heard anything yet.
@@GTAMODMAKER1 I was told by Audi approximately 6 to 7 months from order to delivery, although mine is arriving a bit sooner than expected. Seems things might be improving, although I think it all depends on the car's spec. Mine is a RS3 carbon sportback, C&S pack and RS dynamic pack in tango red.

@@Ersy90 yea but the RS3 8VA(15-20) as the facelift sounds even worse than the new. A friend of mine bought himself a 2020 RS3 with the OPF. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner. You cant even hear the difference to a 2l 4cyl.
So the new one isnt that baaaad for a opf car. but i cant believe how godlike the new i30n sounds. even with opf.

Brilliant video! No doubt the 5 door RS3 sportback is more practical for day to day basis over the m240i as you recently reviewed, eventhough sportback is actually smaller car. You will probably do in the review of your own Rs3, but could you please mention more of the handling enthusiasm and driving perspective? They both seem to be more direct competitors in terms of the fun factor, handling, weight etc. more than ever so If the RS3 is now an alternative as an driving machine to the m240i or even the upcoming contender, the m2? The point of rs3 is that it has the most tuneable engine of all hot hatches and it sounds the best! Im writting this because nobody drives stock these cars 🤗
no, the most tuneable is the B58 in the M140i.

Nobody drives an RS3 stock? Rubbish. In the UK, if you remap your car, kiss your warranty good bye. Hence, very few will take the risk and modify a new car. Usually that's done by the second owner who buys it, after the Audi warranty has run out. I've owned two RS3 from new and I have the latest one on order. I'm not going to ruin it by modifying it. Fast enough as it is anyway.

See in it a positive light. Cold and dense air means more O2 per m3. Means colder air into ze “Abgasturbolader” means more or optimal power maybe? Lovely how they keep holding on to that marvelous inline-5. Imo this is more or less the 2021 equivalent of the Audi sport quattro.
The TTRS is a better comparison, but the RS3 is closest to that. Lovely machine, I hope you have a great time with yours once they deliver it. I guess we’ll see a video on that sooner or later! 👀

@@Automann-TV we have 😂 we had an E39 530d touring we imported from BMW München (more options in Germany 👀)
It was in oxford green metallic with the black buffalo leather interior, lasted for 13y and was a great sleeper! (Didn’t have the badge on it) did 350.000kms with us, many of which in Germany or Italy.
Pushed it to 256km/h until the computer said “ding”. Enough. 😂 double glazed windows made it quite silent and smooth. I like cars with color. We now have a Azure Blue Subaru Outback, only boxerdiesel in the world! The blue color is nice and rich. I like the red on that RS3. Audi’s “RS-red” is the best along with BMW’s “Misano rot”

Ich muss gestehen:
Der erste RS3, wo sich bei mir kein Haben-Wollen/Gefühl einstellt.
Optisch von außen nur mittelmäßig (die ganze Golf 8 MQB-Plattform entspricht jedoch nicht wirklich meinen Vorstellungen).
Sound eine totale Enttäuschung, viel klangcharakteristik des 5-Zylinders ist nicht mehr übrig. Die Krönung ist dieser „Auf Biegen und Brechen alles Touch Innenraum“…
Leider absolut enttäuschen, was optisch aus dem VAG Konzern geworden ist…
Stimme 100 Prozent zu.
Deutschland schafft sich ja auch generell ab!

Which one is louder new 240i or this rs3?
I saw the review of RS3 by Auditography doing 3.1s 0-100 in Athens with good weather and road conditions, measured with built-in tool tho. Is it realisic, or wrong measurement because of tire size etc? I mean, 3.1 is kinda crazy number for a hot hatch.
I suspect they did the launch on a downhill slope and was done for the clicks.
As it's funny how nobody else is get those figures.
I don’t see those numbers possible on a stock Rs3 as well…….times like that come from stage 1-2 tuned Rs3’s. On average I see the new RS3 as being just as quick as the outgoing model
So to put it in a nutshell:
Audi RS3 (8YA), Mercedes-AMG 45 S and BMW M2 Competition are more or less all on the same level with round about 9.5 seconds for 100-200 km/h.
I definitely admit that rs3 is the fastest but not the most interesting.

Man hat ja schon beim Golf R gesehen:
Winterreifen: 11,4 sek
Sommerreifen: 10,8 sek !!
Dazu noch ein bissel hoehere Temperaturen. Schon kratzt der RS3 an der 9sek-Grenze.
Zum Vergleich mein 2018er TTRS (ohne OPF!) mit SR:
3,4 sek von 0-100 kmh
8,3 sek von 100-200 kmh
Da haelt nix mit in der Kompaktklasse.
p.s. bessere Werte bringt die Limousine da bessere Aerodynamik. Der Kombi ist nur ein klobiger Kasten mit der Aero eines Scheunentors.
Ja richtig, Limo läuft immer besser als Sportback, vor allem 100-200

I think that it would be great idea for you to make a video of how does this weather conditions,type and size of the tires, weight of fuel and passenger and so on influence on acceleration of the car. I think there is a lot of us how what to know that and doesn't have the opportunity to test that in real life conditions

You'll love the cla45s.
I personally prefer the interior on our A45S over the RS3's,well at least what Audi offer in the UK,which seems to be no better than a regular A3.
Some say the A45S interior is OTT,but from what i've personally seen it is the best in it's class,and it looks much better in person than it does on camera.
The customisation of the screens is great,so many different layout that you can have.
As far as performance goes,there is nothing in it,and out on the road in the real world the biggest difference will be the driver.
If you do change your mind on the 45 then i'd still keep your order in place,and when delivered then just sell it on,as there seems to be quite a wait for them and the prices are really strong.
We could sell our A45S right now with 14k on the clock for more than we paid for it 18 months ago!
@@TheTechGiantUA-cam your the guy who had the yellow a45s i spoke with months ago i think! i had a white a45s amg plus at the time! i sold that car because dam next door roof metal sheeting fell off onto bonnet and pan roof smashing! he paid to have fixed but could not live with car after really! Super inside though and rapid (loved it) sold to webuyanycar for £52k what i paid for it from new through carwow lol iv had a brand new audi rs q3 sportback since that sold after month again to webuyanycar The prices on autotrader for 20/21 plate cla45s are like 65-70k at minute! iv got one with the special paint and plus on order for 59k
I have an A45s, got an RS3 sportback on order to replace it. The Merc is a great car, but the interior is an acquired taste based in what people say after being in my car (most don't like it) and the styling does attract boy racers to your backside all day long. I've had some issues with the car as well, mainly electrics failing and interior rattles. I drove the new RS3 last week, visually it looks better in my opinion and in the spec I've ordered (carbon edition with RS pack), will look even better. The RS3 is faster (it is) and feels more nimble, sounds better too from the driver's seat. I prefer Audi dealers to Merc, so that's a bonus too. Interior of the Audi is OK and in the flesh is actually very decent; I love the tech in it, a cut above the Merc definitely. They are quite evenly matched in some ways, but the Audi is a newer car and feels it. I still wouldn't say don't get an A45s, but you really need to drive this new RS3. I couldn't get over how well planted it was and getting back into my Merc, the difference was immediately noticeable. Audi have clearly made changes to make it more of a driver's car. Sadlly, which ever you choose, long waits and currently a 'used' RS3 in launch ed spec will cost you £70k (madness).
@@luciussander8217 i had a new shape a45s plus pack! sold because got pan roof smashed and bonnet smashed in by next door metal sheets blowing off onto my car! got fixed but could not keep car after that! i had a new 21 plate audi rsq3 sportback but sold after only 4 weeks! with the same tech inside! i hate that everything has to be touch screen! yes its fast but so not good looking at the screen when driving! i had no rattles in my car will say! loved in interior lighting! And yes will say the 5cylinder does sound better but that lag with the boost coming on is bad ! even in the new rs3 so joe achilis said in his video on youtube when put new rs3 against a45s in gear when traveling he said a45s was felt faster because the better gear changes! yes off line the rs3 just had the upper hand but only just! so all in all those who spend 70k on a audi rs3 want there head looking at lol im happy still iv put my deposit on a mercedes cla45s plus that looks way better inside and out than a rs3 But again thats my opinion

Mich würde mal der Verbrauch der „kleinen Rakete“ interessieren. Ich frage deshalb, da ich vielleicht noch ein neues Auto bestellen muss, wenn sich nicht noch was mit meinem A4 tut. Und der RS3 ist definitiv auf meiner Liste.
Ich fahre viel Stadt und mittlerweile auch viel Autobahn und das sind dann Strecken von 130km hin und dann auch wieder zurück.
Ein wirklich sehr schöner Klang und vorallem ohne jegliche Pops and Bangs, was das Auto für mich gleich doppelt attraktiv macht. Und natürlich auch wieder qualitativ ein klasse Video! 👍🏼

Für den guten Sound muss darf man aber nicht rausgehen dann ist der Generator nicht mehr zu hören. Dann kommt aber Ernüchterung.

The reason why I bought my Mk2 focus RS , as I cannot justify the 100K Aud price tag on this , but would have one in a heart beat.
I picked up a red 2016 rs3 with only 40 000km for $62 000. You don’t need to buy them brand new.
