This is homer logic. "We have to trade Camilo because he's been bad this year and he's a clubhouse cancer. Also were gona get so much back for him :)" The time to trade him was last year. But the problem is that he was doing well, so Giants fans would've been against trading him. So now, Giants fans like this want to trade him a year later as his value goes down but will probably expect the same return they would've gotten last year lol
He hasn't just been bad this year, he has been volatile he's entire career. The Giants are not in a position to wait for him to be consistent despite his elite talent.
This is the correct take. Explore the market for Doval. If there's a "can't refuse" offer there, make the move. If not, you keep Camilo.
@@yoki_isthename9456 you’re missing the point. I’m not against trading Doval. I’m telling you what you don’t want to hear which is that there is no “can’t refuse” offer coming for a guy having a bad year. That’s Homer logic. “Hey we don’t want this crap! Give us your best offer!” Lolol
I’m not sure Farhan has the guts to pull off this type of trade.
It hasn't been just this season with Doval. Other than when he first pitched for the Giants it seems he's always putting 1 or 2 guys on. I think the control the Giants have over him will keep him here for now but you never know what some team needing a closer for the stretch might offer for him. I think it will take someone needing him rather than the Giant's shopping him.
