So many people don't get the cost of everything. Those that are free and lose with "what things should cost" have never run a business. They miss all of the "overhead" involved...rent, insurance, everything in the building, utilities, AC...you name it. And that isn't even taking into consideration all of the consumables and labor. You bring up an excellent point about the warranty that you have to predict how much time/materials, on average you'll have to allow for the duration of the warranty. It all adds up. And then there is the time and space that you get to pay for between the time something is bought, fixed, and made ready for sale...before it sells (if ever). I'm digging that cool liftgate on the pickup. Great video Joe!
Very enjoyable video Joe. I bet your Mum and/or Dad had a wicked sense of humour. It sure rubbed off on yourself and Ronnie. What I learned was “power supply, power supply, power supply”. I think I got that bit.

The arch rivals is a pretty rare Dynamo hS-7 conversion cabinet. You can see that these weren't factory conversions but were built up by Brady distributing.
That is the first neo cab I have ever seen with the memory card slot. Proud owner of a Neo Geo AES /w original memory card. I would convert bad dudes to Robocop. We had the same problem with a mobile cinema I worked 20yrs for here in Western Australia. We quoted how much it would cost, the license fee, wages, fuel, wear and tear / upkeep of equipment (vehicles, projectors, screen, etc...), and we did quite nicely for years (2001 onwards), some people felt we were expensive, but we were based in the south-west of Western Australia, so any Perth job was going to be expensive. Then around 2017, we started having some competition, the competition was based in the Perth area, so they could quote the trip as being cheaper, but they also cheaped out on everything else, maintenance of equipment, licensing fees for the movies, etc... Often they would also rock up, set up, then leave and the organisers would have to put the movie on. Some people just don't value things very well, often its to undercut the competition, but that then puts the industry as a whole in a bad position. Sometimes, after trying out the competition a few times, the organisers would eventually come back to us, other times, they would just give up on putting outdoor movie events on completely because of how bad the competition was.
One of the games I really like is Galaxiga. I wonder if that is popular? I noticed you mess about with high voltage stuff. I just play with 5volts at the moment building my own 6502 on a breadboard computer, and learning asm. I love the classic games. Simple and still awesome today.
Hi Ron, Love your videos, and yes I yell at the screen frequently. But you figure it out. Next. NEVER let comment “experts” INCLUDING ME, tell you what you are doing is wrong. Pronounciation, tools, techniques, terminology…..nuttun’.. what you are doing works for you and nothing can beat that. With that here is some info. If you like it, if it fits, use it, if not ignore it. No harm no foul. I am retired from working on telephone switchers, acres of relay logic. The movement of small part of the switch when the relay energizes we called “follow” was of such great importance we had special tools to gauge that “follow “. The type of relay, in general, in the EM pinballs was called “flat spring technology”. It was later replaced by “wire spring relays” which I have yet to see outside the phone company. And now relays are falling out of use by everybody! Keep on keeping on.
When I used to do HVAC I worked with a technician that was color blind. He had the wire positions memorized for the thermostat. Wonder how many were wrong… 🤔
Hi Joe! I have an unusual question today, and this video seemed as good a time as any to ask it... I'm curious about coin doors... Specifically the coin acceptor mechs that are built into the coin door assemblies... Now, I imagine that for home use, the coin door is something of an afterthought, as the owner is likely to set the game to free play (if that's an option), but let's say you're an arcade operator, with 50+ games in your building, including several pinball machines, and perhaps even a jukebox, from several different manufacturers, and several different styles of coin door(s). Now let's say that foot traffic in my arcade is great enough that I have to worry about machines being 'out of order' due to coin jamming, or bad coin acceptance... How easy, or difficult is it to swap out the coin acceptor mech in a coin door, and how 'universal' are these mechs? Will the coin mech from a Donkey Kong fit into the coin door from a Pac-Man? What about the Pinball machines, and the jukebox? Is this something you could perhaps show us in a future video? Thank you for the work you all do, the services you provide, and the videos you produce showing us the process... I've learned a lot, and it inspires me to ask questions I otherwise wouldn't have thought to ask!
Jukeboxes and Nintendo ones are different, But for the most part 90% of games take the same 25 cent coin mech, takes just a minute or two to change a coin mech in a coin door. Will try to add something about it in a future video Thanks for watching!
Is Ron laying at home messing with old garbage record players? You need to fire him Joe. I mean you have a business to run.
