When you are extremely poor like me, gettng these Lifesaving mobility returning surgeries from such a caring artist like Dr. Jamie would be a dream come true! I pray that it will happen for me someday.
I did gastric bypass surgery and yet my legs and arms are still huge. It doesn't matter how much I swim, how low carb I eat, how much water I drink, my legs won't go down. My arms hang so low that I burn myself while cooking. It's itchy and I have tendonitis in my elbow that it hangs from. I am so painful to the touch. I know this is what I have!
I went to a doctor who claimed to be a lipedma surgeon. He said my surgery was cosmetic even when I insisted the only reason I was getting it was due to the terrible side effects and misery caused by lipedma. Still, he insisted it was not covered and cosmetic. I'm now 8k poorer and have one big left leg, one thinner right leg. If it was cosmetic, not sure why I look worse than before, and still in pain. Do your research peeps. Don't end up with my story. I'm still hurting, and I can't file malpractice because I can still live with misshapen legs without any debilitating issues. This Dr. Jaime sounds like he actually cares. Run, not walk, to a doctor like him.
I'm in so much pain in a daily basis. I can't get pqin relief at anytime. I sleep restlessly and now i have so much pain that even walking hurts. My legs have gotten so huge in the last year that sometimes i feel like death is the only thing that will ever give me relief. I contacted Dr Jamie Schwartz office and was told i need 300 dollars just to get an initial visit and the cost of the surgery is around 50k. I don't have 50K, so what do i do? Just go thru the rest of my life in agony?
3:23 p.m. Missoula MT. If insurance does not cover this how much would it cost out of pocket? I saw where you had given a woman a tummy tuck who looked to be the size of myself. Thank you for your time.

I wish I could have liposuction...I need it so badly wish more drs.acceped Medicare united healthcare my skin from my legs hangs over even with my feet...
I have substantial lipedema...always have, but I wouldn't dream of letting anyone cut me open....and messing with mother nature and.... open the possibilities of infections on top of the condition. No thanks!! Low-carb food plans, some walking, rest, and elevation....seems the most logical route...although not easy.
You couldn't even get upstairs because you're elevator was broke and we waited all day to get there and had to sit all downstairs at the pharmacy so my mom had to walk all the way upstairs just to say you couldn't do anything
We came there didn't even care you said you couldn't do anything you wasted our time and all our money getting there when we got there you acted like you couldn't even know how to fix that type of surgery you brushed us off to go somewhere else
