Switch OLED was only a $50 upgrade in price. The dock will not be separated from the base model since it will be needed for air flow. The new dock will have a fan immeded in the unit. Switch 2 could release 3 months from announcement. Jan -> April
@@lockmasterg I've wondered about that too, maybe putting the tensor cores for DLSS in the dock. But many leaks are implying in handheld mode DLSS will be upscaling games from 720 to 1080p, so they must be built in to the Switch itself
I don't think they will separate the dock, if they have learned anything from there WiiU release they know not to follow trends with two consoles. The memory sounds nice but 200plus GB seems kinda high unless this is truly a real power house of a system
the operating system even if optimized will take at lead 30 gb. and the nfs device on board storage only comes in specific sizes. Very likely it'll be 256gb.
I just subscribed, good analysis. I agree the general population has no clue about inflation and how bad it is in all of the lock down nations that forced everyone on to government support, that we are now paying for with inflation. Also it makes sense at you may have only one display monitor or TV but have two or more kids that want the switch, but all will possibly want to play on the big screen. I could see myself buying two switch2's and only one dock for that reason. I always believed the switch-lite was a bit of a con.
@ this was a great video btw. I don’t see Nintendo adding storage to the switch 2, because as you mentioned in the video there’s going to be tariffs. I think pushing the cost of storage on the consumer again is going to be a way to keep the cost down.
Prediction based on the previous 2 generation trsnsitions: at launch the Switch 2 will sell at $299.99 with bundles at $340ish. Switch 1 models will go down to $165 and the Oled model will be $199. The switch lite will either be $99 or discontinued.
@@LordMuzhy Yeah I guess he has no idea how greedy Nintendo is. Price will drop about $50 on current OLED and price for Switch 2 will be minimum $400 but more like $449.99
I think it's going to be cheaper than when people think. Folk have been speculating on this thing for years (since Covid when it was called the Pro lol.) Aaand it has been getting gradually more and more state of the art as the years go on. But the Switch struck the perfect balance of concept and price point. So the Switch 2 will be similar (allowing for the piss take inflation currently.) It's not going to be a 500 dollar steam deck killer. It's going to be more powerful than the Switch and use NVidia black magic for a small tablet to punch well above it's weight and offer PS4 ports with the odd miracle PS5 port. First party games with an obvious leap aaand indie support. Anything less than that is basically what we are playing now lol. But it's not going to achieve it in the American raw horsepower way (that's the more expensive way lol)
Apparently the switch to is going to use AI technology to upscale both resolutions and frame rates so there won't be any remasters in order for you to run the current games on switch to look better and perform better
They have made, for a few years, tensor core m.2 accelerators you can use to up TFLOPS...I bet the new dock includes an AI driven performance enhancer.
I can pay $500 for that beast I don't care PS5 can't have those sweet exclusives. Price will be $449.99. By the way if you think they going to release Switch 2 in the middle of summer or Fall you are crazy!!!
349.99 to 479.99. With dock. Yr just confusing the main/causal audience otherwise. Be a switch u😆 We all have are opinion tho. I just don’t think it’s a very business minded/intelligent 1👍 But I defo can see u get the switch 1 dock and the option of a upgraded 1,separately. After all…it’s very likely it has 12gb ram. A ps4 pro s. Perfect for Nintendo profits but still relevant, for 3rd party. But you got the steam deck, so who knows😆
I recon, in today's market £349 - £399 would be great. But it'll probably be £449. I don't think it'll be any more expensive than that though, unless it actually does come with an OLED screen, lol
No way am I paying more for a switch than I paid for my PS5!
Its your Problem how mutch u paying for it.
Are you planning to play PS5 on the go?

My thought is that the dock will have a chip in it. So handheld mode will be 1080p 60fps. Docked it will upscale to 4k.

@PositionOffsetGaming ya after watching the patent videos it seems that way.

Nintendo will make the console outside of tariff zones...they are not fools.
I predict 399 for the base model, 249 or 299 for the lite and 450 for an upgraded model.
I think it’ll be $400
I’d definitely say 400 for my country
That’s crazy Amazon is going to make it more expensive than buying from the Walmart

What is your source of the Switch 2 being sold seperate from the dock or is it pure speculation? Also love your keyboard.
@Schminsky pure speculation
7:44 you think Nintendo is going to put 256GB in the switch 2? We’ll be lucky if it’s higher than 32GB.
@@dominicmallano5633 I'm being a little hopeful, but I think it has to be over 100GB minimum just so modern 4K ready games will even fit

It is already 256 GB based on shipment data. Does any Nintendo products used 256 gb in current market?
I think the Switch will cost MAX 499
but i believe that nintendo wont be risking that and go for around 349

I want you to come back to this comment when the price is revealed. There’s no way in hell switch 2 will be $299 😂

This sounds like a load of BS the second I heard “without a dock”. Purely speculative and pulled out the ass.

I don't think the old dock will work i think the new switch is also a bit thicker than the original
The new Switch appears to be taller and wider than the old one, but roughly the same thickness
new switch will be bigger, wont fit in old dock
450
$499 for base 64gig oled in 2 years at $549 starting 32gigs
Calling it now it’s gonna be Switch ON. As stupid as it sounds this is Nintendo
