- Today I was interviewing the good brother George Macon of @STREETMEDIATV215 channel. We discussed why White People do not want to see NIGERIANS and African Americans coming together to join forces.
This collaboration was partly inspired by @afrothinktank42 and his video below:

I absolutely agree
Not only do they do not want African Americans and Nigerians to come together but they don't want no Black people to come together!

That part
Now your talking, AA are.closer.with Caribbean Blacks especially if your from the east Coasr.
So blacks are to waste additional years, time and energy worrying about what they want or don't want? I think that's just a convenient and flimsy excuse not to unite. We prefer that they grant us permission to do so, and if not,it can't be achieved nor will it ever manifest. 400-500 years and counting,we are still begging and pleading, indirectly for approval and acceptance from others and hardly from our own kind.
They don't want you to be happy either
I agree we do come from certain area. I have been to Nigeria 2 times this year. My most recent visit, I purchased my first piece of land. Nigeria is definitely home for me.
are you black american? the laws allow non-nigerians to purchase land?
Congratulations, and welcome home.
@orangemoonglows2692 yes of cause.. it is allowed here in Nigeria.
He’s absolutely correct ✅ and I’m Nigerian!!!
I felt what the brother said. Nigeria felt like home home but I do love all of Africa!!!! I felt so peaceful and whole when in Nigeria. NOTHING LIKE IT! NO LIES DETECTED!
I went to Nigeria prior to doing any DNA test. When I got there something came over me, a feeling of Aha like an Oprah moment. I felt a sense of belonging, without speaking I could hear the sound of familiarity, my feet on the red sand powerful. I felt the same in Ghana. Didn't get that feeling in Abidjan. After I did my DNA lots of Nigerian Ghana, Benin, Mali

Maybe the real problem in this combining and/or mutual understanding of both Black American & Nigerian Africans lies in our excessive self-hatred for melanation - our melanated selves; while simultaneously having excessive, unnatural desire to 'get along with the Whiteness'. Otherwise, be that we as the Black Diaspora had enough self-love, we the Black Americans & Black Africans still would positivity communicate and could care less about what some other ethnicity thinks about or desires for us. SELF HATE is the foundation for this problem, not White people.

I came in contact with African Americans soldiers in Germany over 15yrs ago. It was just like seeing people I knew back in Nigeria . As a Nigerian everything this brotha spoke is facts. When I saw the podcast the Ugandans were pretty disrespectful towards the idea of AA getting back to their genetic roots. Especially when you look at it from a sense that American slavery did it’s best to rip them from their original culture compared to the carribeans who maintained more of their traditional cultures. It may not have been malicious but seems like they got jealous of the American dollar going elsewhere, when it’s way deeper than that! When I see things like gumbo and jambalaya, creole culture I just want my family in America to reconnect as much as they possibly can and bridge the gap because west Africa is the original home.
As a Nigerian you have a responsibility to let Ugandans know it's not there place to speak on African American and Nigerian relations.
It's like getting involved in a family dispute
@Mufasa nah rubbish you dey yan. Clearly the Ugandans were looking at it from a personal point of view. 😂😅

Not ALL Ugandans are the same! Yet another reason why real Afro-American history is being fought against so hard in schools here in the USA.
The Afro-American history taught in the schools wasnt doing anything to help black people anyway. What is it teaching? It never included the black inventors or Malcolm X. They want to teach you MLK, Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges.

This conversation needs to be a weekly conversation so that it becomes subliminal in our minds. So that we act appropriately without having to think about it.✊🏿
Nigeria and Nigerians can be Africa and blacks equivalent of the British empire, Spanish, modern day America, China, etc. They have an innate mindset to "own and control" just like these other groups and these groups know this, and that is the real reason why they all determined to never allow the African Americans come in any type of alliance with the Nigerians. This is perceived to be a dangerous merger as it will potentially exterminate all exploitations of Africa by all these other groups. They know the socio-political and economic intelligence of African Americans also. I need not go deep into that as you guys already touched on that in your convo. They know this. They do not mind yall going to places like Ghana and any other African country. Those Africans still move in the timidly daft natured mindsets expected of them by other groups. Many African Americans can feel that too,and for that reason, many be buying into the "go to ghana and anywhere but Nigerian mentality" as they too have since been brainwashed to want to be amongst Africans that emit inferior complex as opposed to been amongst those Nigerians that stands as competitors. Keeping Nigeria down is a systemically orchestrated plans by powers that be, and their greatest weapons used to achieve this, is with the Nigerian government themselves ( filled with undying over 65s ), as well as propaganda and lies spun under bad narratives to instigate that feel of repulsion at the mention of Nigeria.

Now you also have to create and invent new things.

This is by far the BEST conversation I have heard you make. I only have two things to say: am African-American, and I am majority CONGOLESE. I have Yoruban and Fulani ancestry, but we are entitled to all of our roots. Brother Oshay I have been saying it for almost 8 years now , what the other brother said in this video . The day we Africans and our ancestral brothers sisters from the diaspora rise above our psychological divide and work together , therein get the raw materials from the mines to the production plants in Africa , with the technological expertise to utilize them , will be the beginning of the end of our collective disenfranchisement as a people in and out of Africa . What he said is true also about white people not wanting us black people to wean our minds off the crabs-in-a-barrel syndrome , which made slavery colonization and now neo-colonization possible . Any country in Africa where white people can't gain exploitative influence , they will discreetly incite give weapons to opposition groups out of thin air indulging them as activists , freedom fighters , militants , rebels , protectors of selective human rights and selective democrazy against the resisting African leader . Destabilizing said African country like Libya got destroyed .

@@amazt773This is the second comment I am reading from you. It's apparent, your thinking is "it must not be Nigeria". Congo is less relevant to the subject because most AA ancestors were taken from West Africa, especially southern parts of the geographical area now called Nigeria. There is a reason that area was called Negro Land and the Ocean south of it was called "Sea of Ethiopia". Congo has its own history as well. But the origin of the Bantu people is West Africa. If you are waiting for European historians to give you the complete picture, you ain't getting it from them. At least, not now. They will eventually "tell all" at some point. I am Yoruba, there are reasons Yorubas are not regarded as Bantu according to the migration pattern even though technically they are. Europeans know the history they stole from Africa and for this reason will only create narratives that fit that. The entire history of the origin of humans, principally the Black race will eventually be rewritten in the future because Europeans have sold you all a lie. The history they stole from the so-called Negro Land will return there. And that history is for all black people. We all have to learn to live with certain realities irrespective of the differences.
In terms of marriage, Nigerians don’t marry out like that. Actually, Igbos are very much known to marry mostly within their tribe. Yes, people may be marrying for “papers” as well. Of course there are the ones you talk about but Nigerians tend to marry Nigerians- fact.
you clearly haven't been to California, Nigerian guys are both dating and marrying non black women in droves.
Most Igbos pride themselves, marrying a white. Both women and men. The footballer Kanu is a good example who married a white lady. I can name more. You mean to tell that man never had a connection with an African igbo woman suitable enough for marriage?
This need to be a pt 2 very good discussion
It is beyond my imagination that just yesterday I was pondering over this matter.
Despite enduring years of oppression, African Americans have exhibited remarkable resilience and achieved numerous great feats.
Nigeria, too, has its own tale of survival as it endeavors to carve out its place in the modern world. Unfortunately, it lacks the advantage of the West's knowledge sharing, the very element that has propelled the progress of the Northern Hemisphere. The brothers across the Atlantic could have been the most promising source for accessing this knowledge earlier.
The efforts that African Americans have invested in America, if even a fraction of that were directed towards a country like Nigeria, where it wouldn't be stifled by the oppressive grip of systemic racism, the black race would have boasted a greater number of billionaires than we currently have.
It is disheartening that African Americans were led to believe they didn't need Nigeria, while Nigeria was made to believe it didn't need African Americans.
Consequently, how can the giants of the black race experience a rebirth when the fusion of their incredible potential fails to materialize? It seems that both sides remain unaware of the monumental impact their union could create in the world.
Allow me to pause and reflect for a moment...
🙏🏾❤️

If Nigeria want to come together, I'm wit it 👀🔥
HI Brother'
Africa is home!!. No separation brother
I agree that we need to come together as Africans and American Blacks as a whole . I also agree that American Blacks have more roots in some African countries than others.
So here are my questions. …If we as American Blacks are to genuinely reattach and unite with those Africans who have our roots and characteristics after they immigrate here in America, how do we reconcile with and trust those certain Africans whose ancestors participated in the African slave trade from the mother land? How do we know if the descendants of African enslavers (now here in America), are not carrying the remnants of a servant-master or classism mindset as their predecessors did from the homelands? Would this not be a real barrier to us truly reconnecting with those Africans?
I agree. Just telling black Americans that Africa is home and just jump on board is quite out of touch. We haven't a group worldwide squash our differences. To many subjects need to be discussed.

Brother Macon is speaking the absolute truth. He gets it.! Africans and FBAs trust and depend more on the yt man than we do on each other. We have the numbers and because we are naturally creative, we can develop beyond our current conditions. Herein lies the fault in our stars: Blk people would rather take advantage of each other than collaborate. We must stop taking advantage of each other if we want to win as a people. Like stupid chickens, we trust the fox with our eggs because he knows how to win and gain our trust by smiling and patting us on our heads. Meanwhile, he is heating up the butter in the virtual frying pan. The real problem is that we compete and collaborate with yt-skinned foreigners. This is how our common enemy divides and conquers us. The engrained selfish mentality makes us compete as individuals against each other rather than as a team against our common foes. That is how we were captured and enslaved in the first place. If we put aside our differences and find our commonality, the African diaspora would be a force to be reckoned with, despite the global military forces which occupy our spaces. Once we realize we are brother's keepers, we will begin to flourish.
Africans want to make FBAs a low tribe of there's that is stuck in the background like the rest of their tribes! Africans constantly undermine us! We are done with Pan-Africanism!

The French Cameroon people often refer to us as Biafrans(Ibos). I would have like to encourage y'all to visit, but right now we fighting French Cameroon to regain out stolen statehood.
All Cameroon it’s suffering from the regime don’t divise us in language that was not about us in the first place
Please brother I’m for Cameroon too and I choose to identify myself with my tribe not the colonizers language
The government is wicked and corrupt they kill because they want to keep the power
I pray that the tyran président met is ancestors because we are tired of his reign French part or English part

This is the ignorance that comes as a result of Black people's lack of international media control.
"The West keeps saying they are fighting over language that is not their own", and it is shocking how much people believe that crap.
"Don't divide us" at what cost?
I am a Biafran and I know first hand what the guy is talking about. It is not about language for goodness sake. These people can't get along with the people they were forced to be with, just we Biafrans were forced to be with Nigerians, and Biafrans suffered a genocide for it (6million men, women and Children) and I'm sure people like you have never heard about it.
Why should I be with someone who slaughtered me in such numbers and counting and never even cared about it? This Africa Unity nonsense based on a European selfish interest inspired map has to stop.
@@misstessasims3850 , if it is regime , why then the majority you people did not rise up with us get rid of the regime? Some of you who have lived with for us for long a while are spies for the military after my people gave your parents refuge from same military that is killing my people today . Before it was your young men who were being sent to come and kill my people, but today some of have allowed your childen to become child soldiers and they too have the genocide being committed in my land, so don't talk to me about oneness. When there is a demo East of the Mungo river, the military men target the legs of the demonstrators while a demo West of the Mungo river, the military men shoot to kill by targeting head or chest of demonstrators.
Nigerians and African Americans act very much alike. I didn't really understand myself until I started studying Nigerian culture. My top two DNA is Yoruba and Mende and a bunch of other ethnic groups
In what ways do they act alike
As a Jamaican American I’m also a African American as soon as we go hand to hand with Africans in Africa then all black people would be unstoppable.

Ashanti and Akan Gold Coast of Ghana yeah Jamaica ppl come from we learn this back home
Thank you, God! For taking Nigeria on the road to vindication. It's just a matter of time!!
Professor James Smalls (Google him) says his grandfather was Carolina a slave taken from Uganda and he is also Geechie As a half Éwé from Togo land (Ghana/Togo/Benin)and half Baganda (Bantu) from Uganda I have learned since going back to UG that BANTU culture is the same from East to West, AND I recognized similarity in language between Évé (Ewe Language) & Luganda (Buganda language). Watch/read the comments in Wode Maya’s Uganda trip videos. We are ALL the same people (Speaking of BANTU Africans only!). Ask anyone from Ghana/Togo/Benin and we will tell you that us (Hebraic) tribes were all together with the Ibo & Yoruba in modern day Nigeria, and before we were all together in modern Nigeria region we ALL migrated together out of the land of ‘CANNA’ and began our migration together as one nation or people coming out of the areas between modern day Ethiopia to Uganda!!! And we, the most powerful kingdom in Uganda (The Kingdom of Buganda) began our migration from the Rift Valley (Ethiopia) before we migrated up the Nile and settled at its base. Something happened around 1,000 years ago, we were scattered by our enemies from our ancient ancestral lands.
I did the DNA 🧬 test and most of my African DNA is from Nigeria 🇳🇬 39 percent. My ancestors home country in Africa is Nigeria. Legacy of evil will never be our allies or friends(they don’t want us to connect to the motherland).
And that's why Nigeria as it is currently, is messed up. It's by design and the West continually work toward that. They have saboteur tribal group working for them as well. If you don't see any kind of AA diaspora return program from Nigeria, don't be surprised. It won't happen based on current political setup. Western stooges are the ones running the show. Even the new president is a stooge because the real power-holders are the northerners, on behalf of Britain/West. But eventually, Nigeria will crack for all the good things we hope for to happen. If it were the Yorubas or Igbos running a free country of their own independently, there would have been a huge "year of return" program. But with the crazy population politics in Nigeria with one group counting cattles as part of their population, they won't support anything that put the other groups ahead. It obvious most AA are connected to people within southern Nigeria. There are lots of "hidden" things in Nigeria that aren't apparent to AAs. If you want to go there now, just do so quietly with no huge expectation from the government. The govt doesn't even have time for its citizens. At some point, things will change.
That DNA test shit is a scam
@@TheGreatRobertCharlesno its not
Because together we would be unstoppable and powerful force not to be underestimated

Street Media speaking facts...I'm in East Africa and found it a little difficult to connect with some of the culture and tradition in East Africa. There are many aspects of culture here that simply do not align with my beliefs and values. Many Black Americans are in East Africa because it's EASIER to come. The hoop jumping, red tape, and corruption just exhausts the patience of a lot of people so they go where they feel the door is open.
God Bless this brother. I am so happy to be an African right now. Please, can this educational program be run weekly, and open to more people?
I love you my brother street media tv. Your perspective gives me hope to know that we are many who have been able to see things for what they are and hunger for change that will uplift our community. As a Nigeria who celebrates the black Elite vision. Thank you ❤
My people in Georgia have that look of Eastern African. I see it in the eyes and features of many people. You can see it in there eyes.
Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Niger, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Angola, Mali are also HOME.
This brotha nailed it so eloquently nothing but 💯 facts!!
I learned that the FBI has documentation on keeping us separate...thats way too much

Afro Think Tank is correct! 89% of African Americans & Afro Latin descended from mainly West African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Benin Republic, Togo as well as Central African countries like Cameroon. The info is on the internet and in each country’s history books. My husband is a PHD in Nigerian & West African history and he’s familiar with this particular history. However, ALWAYS cross check the info you get from the Caucasian (that’s mainly European and Northern America) Western media with the info of a particular African nation for authenticity. This is because most of the true African history/info has been misrepresented/is being misrepresented by Western media for their own propagandist, imperialist, colonialist, apartheid, supremacist and racist narrative agenda. We Africans know OUR OWN HISTORY and we don’t need Caucasians impose falsehood upon us.
Your comment is spot on, just wanted to add that until the lion learns to write, the story will always glorify the hunter. More love and unity is what Africa and Africans need. We are not cursed, we are blessed beyond measure.
So what they mad🤣 Sorry not Sorry!!! The Most High willing I will be relocating to Nigeria soon from the USA, yeah back home!!!
Spot On! This gentle man sounds like one of the clearest thinking black man alive on challenges facing the community. The gentle man spoke well about the potential of the AAs and all other diaspora coming together with Nigerians and africa. He was also right that many of our men like to go for european women as we were conditioned to see them as desirable and preferrable to our women. Hardly helps that some of our women imprint on their children that foreign hair is preferrable. Our leaders repeatedly say positive thing about europeans. Th media is full of positive things about europeans while we mostly saw negative things about black people. Something somewhat similar is happening to AAs too but AAs have direct and recent negative history, inclduing living memory of what the Pan European agenda has done to black community. this is one of the greatest contribution African Americans, Brazilians, Jamaicans etc can make to Africa; help open the eyes of Africans to what europeans, their leaders often praise, are doing to their nations.
Again the guest is spot on about some black women switch from being pro black to being pro western woman standards. I have encountered this several times when discussing issues with some women. Some women I must say, remain focused on being patriotic on the continent. If can be frustrating to see how some women turn against some things that empower our people because of their concept of being 'An Independent strong black woman' . An example of this was when Ugandan president said, India was 12 times smaller than Africa but has the same population. The women turn on me and accuse me of just wanting to marry many wives, instead of focusing on the fact that we have under-utilised our space in Africa, which in turn reduces our potential as a people. Another Example, when you say something about going with their natural hair, they say its none of our business. This is coming from some conscious black women about the challenges we face against those that want to take advantage of us. Tells a lot about how deep the western conditioning has dug into some of our best women.
@2naija you’re everywhere 🤣 I actually agree with your sentiment and I understand your Point of View. Thank you for supporting the black community and loving black people so much I see your ❤. Peace ✌️🏾
The European culture has been a part of the black race out of Africa, the hair, the skin that we bleached, but it all has something to do with our black men who prefer lighter complexion women with straight hair, that's some of the reasons black women do these things, the black brothers make black women feel inferior look at all the celebrities in the industries, movies, sports, music they mostly choose different race, and u tell me our race will get better, not the way we look down on our own,try as a black person to get a business started in some black countries, u get all sort of red tapes, and push around and they will give the white man easy access and the community support them and forsake their brothers business which more support the country, if we don't support our own country who will, other race send their money to their country, black people wake up,black men having white women has a higher ratio than b women, if someone accept her for her skin color, which her own hate,y shouldn't she be with that person

That why that stopped Marcus Gay and killed Bob Marley cause Rasta always knew if the blks west go over too Africa Caucasian would have had hell too pay CIA knew this
Being African American in the U.S. is utterly powerful. We have the choice to trash the shackles of the past and soar far and wide to reach countless goals, learn various trades and have access to absolutely everything. We hold our own selves back thinking we are less rather than more. Who needs to be stuck in acommunity when the world is your oyster? Why would I want to segregate myself when I need expansion to explore opportunities. Brothers need to think outside the box, you only get one life [and there is nothing else after that].
LIBERIA KNOWS WHO WE ARE AND ARE WAITING FOR US TO COME AND BUILD
I had a vision back in the 90s about Blacks & Africans coming together businesses, properties & land etc.💵💵💵
What a powerful force to reackon with!!!!!💯🔥💥💥💥
I have had such dreams too,and i am Igbo! I dreamt that Oprah and many eminent African Americans had homes in my village in Nigeria, my siblings had the same dream also! I believe some global event of biblical proportions will catalyze a coming together of long lost brethren !!
What power has any Africans in last 400 years expressed. Nightmare
The Ugandan brother, Respectfully Only expérienced one dimensional side of the African American experience. He experienced one aspect of our Blackness, our Centuries of experiences goes much deeper. Is he aware of his own Indigenous practices, The spirit is not Confined to this 5th dimension in terms of Language. Western education in itself is a Matrix of the mind. Many of us understood this when we saw our brothers and sisters coming for the Economic and Educational experiences, it’s a double edge sword….we must be discern what we believe we see externally. We’re in a generation we’re even the youth in Mother Africa are affected by Modernism and rejecting the ways of the Elders. This is why primarily many of us are drawn to West Africa, because of the Ancient ways….. BE Blessed O’shay you and the brothers and Sisters in your organization….BE BLESSED because YOU ARE.
Black power = African man African woman married + African children all pulling together.
I have been saying this for years and some Cameroonians think I was lying.. I am from Benin republic, but my origin is Nigeria. and I know that my country is one of the countries where most of black people were taken from because we are strong and hard workers...
Wrong. The West Africans are the isrealies, so they make sure they are gone. And they were the rebelleous during the slavery
That's true,
I have a lot of costumers that are asking me the price of lands in South East Nigeria and most of them are AA while the other two customers are carribeans.
I have witnessed our AA siblings buying lands in Enugu and owerri in Imo while most are requesting for Awka in Anambra state coz they want to be close to big markets for business.
I disagree 💯💯💯💯💯 a lot black Americans came from Angola and Congo especially in the south USA 🇺🇸 not Nigeria or west Africa, but Caribbean almost all of them from west African Nigeria Ghana Gambia to Senegal but not black Americans no argument needed
@@KaskieKing who told you thgat? how about doing your dna. dna confirms most AA are west african. of course some are angola and congo but not most. dna confirmed!!!!
