My problem with that is . Why are whites all over the place all over africa visiting and enjoying all this greatness . Sounds like self hate if you dont miss where your ancestors came from. Even those who claim to be from America and their ancestors not being taken as slaves, most of your ancestors are from the congo cos thousands of years before slavery, people from Congo were traveling across the atlantic and it was a dream for young men to adventure . The stories even enticed a to be king like Mansa Musa s oldest brother who was supposed to be king to forfit his kingship and choose adventure.
So still their ancestors are from Africa

The way Duke sets and switches the formats to his podcasts, while covering a variety of topics...and 2 his co-,host Joanita Maaya. As a man 'silver' each of us has our own personal likes in a woman. When I look at her on the podcasts, she is very beautiful to me...almost royal like...she can get 'hood' but she can get professional too. So, as a Black Man in America, to an African American Man in Uganda...when you point out the beauty and details of a woman to a man who sees her every day means that you really like her and that you are checking her out. To be honest with you it doesn't matter to me if Duke... or you even...are responsible for her wardrobe. She is a gorgeous, intelligent, vivacious, dark complexioned woman that I liike looking at and listening too! Did that make sense to you, if not run it by Duke, he'll explain it better! I was in South African in 2017 and stayed in Sandton, right across from Mandela Square. It's a bougie area of Joburg and very nice. I have no interest in C ape Town, as it is hyper Europeanized. I think the reason people choose places like Ghana over S.A. is for the fact that it is 80% controlled by white wealth. Black people have no control over wealth in S.A., and especially in epicenters like Johannesburg and Cape Town. ANC and Presidential leadership since Mandela has been black, but all the wealth has been in the hands of Afrikaaners, so they don 't mind yielding political power to blacks. I was in Joburg for about 11 days and got around pretty well. I visited the Guyanese Embassy (High Commission) in Pretoria and other places, but did not do safari. Don't care for animal sight-seeing.. I had no problem walking around, but I also did not stray far from the hotel, other than going to Pretoria, and that was an accompanied trip organized by the Honorary Consul of Guyana in Joburg. Everyone I met was super friendly and I made some long lasting friendships from that trip. Like Gabs mentioned, I was definitely hit with over-priced merchandise from some Zulu vendors on the street near my hotel. I knew they were overcharging me, but I was cool with it. On my return, I wish to visit Durban, which I saw recently is getting gentrified. With whites controlling all the wealth, blacks continue to be pushed out of prime areas, which is damn sad. When I tell Africans S.A. is the only Africn country I visited, they say "you haven't visited Africa." They always recommend Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, Gambia, or Tanzania. So, I can see why Ghana is a more desired destination than S.A. for what I mentioned. Blessings.

‼️ Allowing price hikes HELPS not only build that hegemony but ALSO helps worsen the colonized mindset AND system ‼️ It’s WAY more important and impacts FAR greater / wider than it appears. Stop saying “this is Africa” as if that’s just how it is and should be accepted. We want unity‼️ We want Africa to be in control of Africa‼️ We want positive change‼️ HOW do we get it then? Interestingly, the only African population that has a more equal distribution of wealth in terms of median wealth are those of African descent who were born and raised in Europe. This might be because of the countries they live in, where social mobility leads to a more equitable distribution of wealth compared to other African populations.

Africa wasn't seen as a place to lookback for.... in some countries there is steel bloody conflicts, big emigration to Europe why don't you take any considerations in these topics.

Among other reasons, Africa needs the Diasporans to get a headstart in economic revival.
The Diaspora needs Africa to reclaim our heritage and to become stronger spiritually and economically.
Working in unison, we can reclaim the historic greatness that was interrupted and stolen by the Mzungus.

I understand Gabs' frustration, but yes, he is an Ambassador, albeit unofficially. It is like me selling Guyana. I am not appointed by the government, but I enjoy speaking about Guyana and selling it to non-Guyanese. We have been bombarded with negative images and propaganda about Africa, so we have to understand the ignorance African Americans have. Coming from Guyana, I got into many fights when I first arrive, and that is from black kids looking at me as an inferior, with all the names I was called. So, yes, the unofficial Ambassador role is bestowed upon us to recondition the minds of those who have a negative thought process about Africa. No strenuous effort to be made, but direct them in a direction where they can learn. Blessings.
