    Yep. My 08 Aero was like that. Best engine ever. Pulled like a beast even at low rpm.
    Super stable chassis.
    Highway acceleration was stupid fast. Would love to find a good xwd version someday!

      what makes the xwd better than the front wheel drive?

    • @MassiveTrackHunter
      @MassiveTrackHunter 8 місяців тому

      @@stocks4bt If the xwd can put power down in 1st and second without smoking tires like the fwd did, that would make it launch awesome. Not to mention the extra snow traction would be cool.

    Stunning car ! I have the XWD Stationwagon (Hirsch) and it is a superb car, the V6 though, I bet is a very nice drive.

    They are more rare than the TX! At least here in the US, and I'm super happy to have picked up one of these Aero XWD v6's this past summer. Has the carbon fiber TX interior nods too.

    Just bought a 2008 9-3 Aero XWD in manual. Only 76 made for the US in Manual in 08 and 80 made in 09
    Love these cars.

    Mine's a Laser Red 2007 9-3 Aero V6 manual with the Hirsch stage 1 tune and a do88 intercooler. Significantly faster than standard. I don't think that we got the Aero X in Australia.

    I bought a turbo x new in 2009 for a small fortune and was very disappointed. Car certainly had a XWD issue which meant it pretty much was 2.5 wheel drive that never resolved. XWD was high maintenance and i went thru 2 coolant tanks before upgrading to the metal one. Terrible fuel consumption too. Could have lived with it all except for the XWD issue. Sold and went into a 435i. I'd still love one again as a second car which is fully functional. Always been a Saab fan.

      I have a 2009 Saab 9-3 xwd. What made the XWD high maintenance?

      I'd quite frequently have the XWD service message appear plus a warning that it was only running as FWD. Constantly having to get it serviced was expensive and I'm not even convinced it worked properly from day one when it was delivered. Eventually got sick of thr issues including the expansion tank which will keep cracking being plastic and located so close to the turbo, and sold it at 90,000km. The sad problem was not long after I bought it, Saab folded and GM Australia wiped their hands clean although I'm guessing that's against consumer protection laws. Anyway a nightmare. I love Saab and saddened by its demise still.

    I miss this car. Couldn't ever find one. So expensive when I did for V6.

    This is not an "Aero X" Aero X was a concept car from 2006. This is just a regular 9-3 Aero.

    Serious question, is it normal for this particular example's exhaust to sound quiet?
