I after a shake down on a 80 mile shakedown in Parker on a poker run had to do some work on my cut and turned TTB's I plated and gusseted themand put thicker steel on the radius arm to beam top and bottom. connections I also added a vertical piece betwene them and bolted it to the beam as well. I believe AutoFab does rhis. I run a single King on each front at this time I got from Bret King ((Nice work Bret !) I have had it over alot and some rough surprises since and no issues. The TTB Bronco is a great ride !
havn't replaced the steering yet. it's done well so far. but i've replaced my engine mounts. that made a huge difference in the way the truck handled and shifted. i had destroyed the passenger mount and the driver side mount only had 30% of its rubber left. trans mount was toast as well.
So many people overlook something very simple, pitman arms that come with these kits are almost never long enough so your toe angle is all fucked up. Look at the rods on a stock bronco, look at your lifted one, are they still inline with the diff? I can see it here clear as day, look at the angle he has, that is not normal, needs a longer arm extended over stock by the inches he lifted. If you look around on google, you will notice what I'm talking about. Stock and bronco done right, the joint where the rods connect should be center or below the diff, not above it.
I know this video is old so I hope you see this comment lol. Do you know if this long travel kit will fit a 1997 f250? Or happen to know where I can find something? Having a hell of a time locating a long travel kit
William, Great video! I have the same 16"/18" Autofab system from John Ehmke on my '96 Bronco...with the dual Racerunner 2.5 Res shocks on the front, and the single Racerunners 2.5 res shocks on the rear 8.8 axle. Question for you: Do you think your overall system is too stiff? Too harsh, as delivered? I bought my Racerunners from a third party, so they were not 'valved' by John. So I may have too stiff of a system due to the 'stock' valving of the Racerunners. What is your experience? Where did you get your Racerunners? From Autofab directly? Third party? Have you re-valved the shocks? Appreciate your feedback. BTW, my '96 build is here on FullSizeBronco.com: fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146007 Thanks, Brad --------------------------------------------------------------------
Denhabr, sorry it's taken me two years. I don't check my youtube feed for comments all that often. but racerunners were stiff until warmed up. i got mine from autofab. i dunno what if anything was done. i've added a cage and now they're too soft. i'll be re-valving soon. hope this helps.
sunjabib ahladeen There's a third u joint connecting the passenger side axle shaft to the pumpkin. U get the strength of a solid axle with the ride of an independent axle. Search "Ford twin traction beam".
Mountain Noobs get a full size bronco, f150 or ranger, not a bronco 2. C&T is basically a way to correct the camber of a lifted ttb without using drop brackets. The inner C's of the beam are cut at the bottom, bent outwards and welded to correct the camber. guys on the forums can explain better than I.
Most pitman arms in kits aren't long enough and so when you turn, your toe angle is messed up. That is why they wear out tires so fast, they are literally crab walking down the road without a longer arm. For whatever reason, kits completely overlook this.
I keep finding my self back to this video and love it every time
Definitely time for some steering ball joints
lmao I was thinking the same thing when I saw it fliping around
So much slop
All the steering linkage needs replaced
I used your video to show my Chevy friend how the Ford TTB works.

Ive got the same kit and love mine. I hope you've replaced the steering by now though, that shit it clapped out!
This is the best stock beam TTB video on UA-cam IMO.
"Stock" lol

devil driver and a bronco...good call. the "Sail" cover was a good choice
Ese sistema es lo mejor
Sweet video man, could you post a link to which kit you ordered and what shocks/spring you runing?

@@dylanmccallister6739 so if i were to lift my bronco i could continue to use the same tie rods but with a longer pitman arm?

No music next time
with all due respect, it looks stock to me
+Matt Leonard its pretty clearly cut and turned.
to the untrained eye it would
sjpro1 What does cutting and turning mean? Planning on trading my Cherokee for a Bronco or ranger with TTBS

Cool video. Music compares to something as awful sounding as a metal fork scratching a dinner plate, but cool video.
my dad said something similar...glad you like the video though
Who sang this cover of sail?
