    So, a passerby/neighbor heard Elizabeta's screams, walked outside, presumably saw a dark silhouette and *ASKED* "Hey, are you killing Elizabeta?".
    It's just so nonchalant. Like, If the killer had said "Yeah, I am.". The neighbor would have been like "Oh, ok. Well could u keep it down, the games on".

    I worried about my children having some of the problem's I had in my younger years. I made sure to be the parent I never had and thankfully my children are nothing like me. Children are a blank canvas your children learn everything from you, always watching, always studying your every move. Something tells me there is so much more to this story. This world is a scary ugly place, but you can find places that are like heaven on earth. I had to move to Alaska to find my sanctuary. I hope you find yours.

    Fascinating, and as always, grippingly narrated. But I thought DNA testing was a 1980s story. Also, can you do episodes on Raman Raghav, a serial killer, and the Nithari killings near New Delhi?

    • @nathandublin3039
      @nathandublin3039 2 роки тому

      Around the mid 80s is when DNA testing started to become a tool to catch the person who did the killing and find out the identity of the killers victims.

    Considering the way police work was handled by the Romanian government back then, it strikes me as very unlikely that Ion's father would actually be a killer as well, especially because of how he was killed. More likely, he was killed off and then framed for these unsolved murders to make the regime seem more competent at solving crimes. After all, it would seem very believable and comforting to the people of the time that this type of depravity was just a bad seed in this one family.

    What an absolute monster! My mom was actually one of the women attacked by him. I suspect there were more that weren't made known. She thinks she may have been one of the first before they realized that there was a serial killer at large. She worked at the Polytechnic University as a professor and was attacked in her classroom. Thankfully there was another person nearby that heard her scream and he got scared and ran away. But not til he did a number on her head! He had hit her in the head with that metal bar causing many head lacerations and her face was so puffed up, her eyes black and blue. She recovered but still has scars on her head where hair didn't grow back. She also has PTSD and a lot of anxiety to this day from the attack. And tremors which we're not sure if they're related to the head injury.
    It's frustrating that they never admitted that her attack was by Ion Rîmaru as well. But she thinks they tried to keep it under wraps cause he shouldn't have been able to get into the university since he wasn't a student. There was also a rumor going around at that point that it might have been Ceaușescu's son! I guess he was a bit touched in the head from what I heard. I don't know, I wasn't born at that point. But in any case, it was Rîmaru.
    I was going through some photos a couple months ago when at her house and I stumbled upon the picture she still has after the attack. Absolutely horrible! To see my mom looking like that and knowing what she went through is heartbreaking! I'm thankful she survived though (and was not sexually assaulted) cause others weren't so lucky. 😞
