Insanity in Front of a court/law is not classic insanity (just having a severe psychological disorder). To be insane for the law you must not know that what you did is wrong (because your psychological disorder extremely influenced your understanding of morality, normal behavior,..)

To be found legally insane you pretty much have to be a dribbling mess.
Was he “insane” in the eyes of the common people? Definitely but that would also get him a comfortable hospital sentence.

All of his killings happened within a 2 mile radius of my house and the Evelyn Miroth family murder was, literally, 10 houses down from my parents house and right across the street from my best friends home! The same friends older brother had dated Theresa Wallin at one point before she married. The whole area was terrified until Chase was caught. I was 19, living alone in my mothers house while she was away and was so scared, I had friends spend the night with me every night. Horrific guy!

After watching many of these kind of videos, I have learnt that a person's childhood contributes majorly to what he/she becomes as an adult. So if you're a responsible adult, treat your kids with love and teach them to love others in the same way. Discipline doesn't mean that you have to physically beat them, teach them to respect others.

Unless you were hunting/trapping/fishing and intended to use the animal you successfully shot/caught as food, use/sell the fur/skin, and mount the head on a wall. My dad used to hunt deer, process the meat, and then take what wouldn't be used (heart, lungs, skin, stomach, intestines, bones, ect) back out to the woods for scavengers (certain birds, raccoons, and coyotes) to eat. The muscle tissue would be packaged and froze for later use. (Steak, burger for different dishes, summer sausage, and jerky). There was no ritualistic thing behind it, it was just food. Steak was a bit dry, but venison is a very lean meat, so not much fat to add moisture.

It was right in front of his parents that something was horribly wrong with their son, but they chose to ignore it. The mother catches him being horrific with a cat,and doesn't say anything?! I'd be running, screaming, and finding a phone to call the police. How many people and animals could've been saved if his parents had just removed their heads from their rectums, and admitted that their son was Koo Koo For CoCo Puffs, and did something?!

It's extra frustrating because the mother neglected him, but then pulls him from the psych ward and takes him off his meds, then immediately goes back neglecting him and does nothing when she catches him in the act.
If she didn't care about him why pull him from the ward and take his meds away? To me it sounds like she WANTED to create this monster. She's just as guilty as he was!

I agree with both of you, and some aren't going to like what I'm going to say, but in cases like this, where if the parents, or guardians had just given a damn, and done something, anything to help their child, or ward, instead of just thinking about themselves, then there wouldn't be families grieving maybe, so I think that the parents, or guardians should also be arrested, and serve the same amount of time as the killer did, because they contributed to it in my opinion.

All I can think of was that they were in intense denial. Back then, there was also a massive social stigma against the mentally ill and psychiatric facilities. The parents felt their kid being batzoid insane reflected bad on them.
You can even see Chases deterioration progress with each photo of him. The early school photos show a handsome youth with a beaming smile (although he was already gross and nuts even back then) but the latter show an emaciated wreck with shaggy hair, stubble and a weirdly sad-puppy-like 1000-Yard-Stare expression.

What’s truly incredible about this is that we are all taught about famous serial killers such as Dahmer and Bundy, but this one is so much worse and not even a peep about his actions. This is horrifying on a level you don’t even find in the most gruesome horror novels. This is just terrifying to a degree that stretches human imagination. I realize that back in the 50s and 60s people would ignore a LOT of scary behaviors, but how anything this guy did was just blatantly dismissed is baffling to me. Who actually ignores that absolute mountain of signs?? I actually had to stop at points just to start breathing again. I struggle to find words after watching this. I’ve been asking to say do The Distressing Case of Bobbi-Anne McLoed - she was murdered on 20th November 2021, in Plymouth, England around 8 pm. This case needs highlighting because then people would learn more about this women. She was once someone & now Plymouth was left in shock & disgust to how and why this teen was murdered. I may do another video based on it again, looking into her life & legacy that she brings. And I may do subtitles if I have the time & balls to do it. So please I’m begging you Twisted Minds to do this case, it’s interesting to see what happened in the UK. Cornwall police launched a murder investigation soon after her disappearance. And her discovery of body was found 3 days later. It’s so sad, and please do it for our sake, your videos in our future is gonna be better than mine!
