Thank you - Indeed it is very Iconic for the UK, my father was on them during the cold war... so it is sort of keeping his memory alive regarding being part of the v vorce in the UK..
Hi Adam - thank you - the Vulcan has always held a special place in my heart, it was an aircraft I grew up very closely with in the 60's & 70's with it being the Aircraft my father was on in the RAF - so happy that fate brought me together with this one.. Cheers Martyn
Thanks Sean - both the maiden and this flight could not have gone better - everything was right - As you know I was/am extremely happy with her, Cheers Martyn
Hi Jeff - thank you, the Vulcan is a special aircraft, I grew up with them in the 60's and 70's - my father was in the RAF on them, the big delta wing creates ground effect on landing and as you have observed makes her floaty - it also helps that she is very light being made from Depron... the Jet sounds - were taken from a Real Vulcan audio... it had to be done .... Cheers Martyn
Thanks for another flight with the Vulcan martyn I bet there a lot of pilots that would love to have one in there hangers I know I would one day I long for a harrier jump jet I don’t mind if it didn’t vertical take off and was just a take off or hand launch just think that jet is iconic I have a nice big poster of I think it’s two or three flying in formation and it’s shot from like a close up camera in front it would look great in a frame might get round to doing it one day lol, great flying buddy, G🇬🇧
Hi Gazza - your quite correct I have had three already talk to me about seeing if they can get one, looking into it now for them, early days yet, we are also looking into a 3d Printed one.. I have seen something on UA-cam about the Harrier , that did do Vertical, it was someone's own design and very much a prototype design, I guess it would have to be very light and fast due to that small wing .... I am not sure I have even seen a Depron profile version of the Harrier - Interesting... Cheers Gazza.
OUTSTANDING FLIGHT!! That Vulcan looks *real* in the air! I loved the slightly slowed-down bits with the added Avro Vulcan soundtrack, Martyn! The thing just floats out of the hand at launch... quite remarkable, Sir ☺☺
Hi Gina and Thank you - it was worried but as we have seen had no reason to be, it really is a gentle giant - I grew up close to the Vulcan live on RAF bases with them as my father was in two vulcan squadrons during the cold war... it holds special memories of me, I am extremely happy with it Cheers Martyn
Great video Martyn, and what an iconic aircraft.
