    You should look into supporting the weight of the lens or at least the metabones adapter. 4:19 clearly shows the lens bobbing up and down as your cranking the focus wheel.

    The tip i dont see anyone giving you is to not over tighten the screws, it will eventually create compression and a slight bit of metal dust that gets inside will make it impossible to unscrew

    Somebody already gave you the tip about the ssd screw lining up with the SSD holder. That makes the cable connection secure. Also, check out the BM5 portkeys monitor with the bluetooth module for touch screen control of the camera from the monitor. Pretty neat. I'm also looking into getting a quick release adapter to as a bridge between the monitor and the monitor mount. Basically let it live on the monitor mount and snap on the monitor in and out. Happy shooting.

    just built out a bmpcc 4k using this video as a jumping off point, was very helpful! I didn't end up needing the extra cable to plug the v-mount battery into the camera, as the cable that was already attached to the Hedbox worked fine for me. Also was able to cannibalize some old gear to supplement the list in the pdf and traded in an old GH5 for a lightly used BMPCC 4K, so all in all only ended up spending less than $1000 out of pocket for a badass cinema cam setup! big thanks to Adrian and Arthur for the video. liked and subscribed

    I have a very similar build but no one seems to address the fact that the V mount or gold mount batteries block the touchscreen and even with an external monitor, you can't use your menu controls or format the Harddrive/sd card. I have a gold mount battery on the back and a monitor on the handle, but I have to remove the battery to use any menu options and yes I can control SOME stuff over bluetooth with my phone but thats not really practical on a shoot.

    Im new to this so i have no idea what it all is for and i have to rely on what experienced people like you recommend.
    All i want to do is shoot some high quality cinematic nature and surrounding shots with great color and quality!
    What would i need for that? What would you buy for that purpose? Thanks in advance.

    • @AdrianPicardi
      @AdrianPicardi  3 роки тому +1

      hey! I'd recommend first starting off with your cellphone (if it shoots 4K). There's a program called Filmic Pro that turns your iPhone into a decent camera and you can practice shooting at a low cost until you figure out if it's something you actually want to continue doing. If you don't have a cellphone that's capable of 4k or you're just ready to buy a camera, I'd go with the bmpcc6k pro. The codec is great, it's not super expensive, has internal ND filters (which will come in handy when shooting outdoors) and is an overall solid camera.
