An interesting learning experience Jason...also an exhibit or reminder of what happens when one tries to exceed the structural strength of the piece's base material. Glad you left the wide crack in the bowl. Great video thumbs up.
@@NorthwestSawyer Don't worry Jason those opinions won't hold any water...I'm not gonna ay it...I'm not...alright alright...just like your bowl.🤣 I'm sorry Jason just had to go there, my bad. Still glad you finished the bowl, you could call it, An Exploration into the Effects of Centrifugal Force. Thumbs up.
Jason, that's the thing bout being an artist, if you are happy with the turnout, it doesn't matter what others would do to change YOUR design. Cause everyone else would do something different. 500 questions why and 1000 comments of "you coulda', shoulda, I 'da done it this way!" It's definitely an original ! BUT,..I'da .. Lol !
if you have never been to La Conner Washington, you should go. At the end of the street, (there might be 2) you will find a woodworking shop with all sorts of inspirational stuff, furniture, game boards, bowls and other kitchen stuff and, laser engravings. The place makes me drool. Tulip Time is also near in the Skagit Valley.
You know Jason, there are times when you just gotta step back and try and do some "creative rescue" work. It very much did come out looking quite well. John
Nice save. 😊

Thank you, Craig! The gap has been a big “divide” of opinion 😂

Thank you very much!
All part of the learning curve.
I’m learning a lot!😂

So glad you decided to fix it, good job 👍
Hi 👋, Well done, well worth the effort, I think I would of used resin just to make it stronger, at least you saved it,
Thank you! I still could fill it but I’m still liking how it looks with the gap.
Love the fix. Definitely a rustic beauty.
Genius fix Jason✌️ Napa California

Just say NO to crack.
Now you know you can make a patchwork bowl TAKE 4 BOWL AND CUT THEM IN 4TH AND MAKE 4 BOWLS OUT OFTHE PEACSE
Not fond of the gap. Otherwise, beautiful
i am very sick of the bow-tie wedges in so many pieces
I just do not understand the gap! I would not have done it.
I'd have saved my time and put it on the fire, looks horrible.
