- Why would anyone spend 50 hours buried alive just to make a UA-cam video? Jimmy Donaldson - aka MrBeast - had 54 million reasons last year. The world’s top-earning creator is already worth $500 million - and thinks he can double that.
In the hypercompetitive, occasionally nasty world of social media, MrBeast is a collaborator. In November, to celebrate becoming the top UA-camr, he enticed 11 UA-camr friends including LazarBeam (20.2 million subscribers), GeorgeNotFound (10.5 million) and Callux (4 million) to compete for a $2.5 million private jet. (It was an endurance contest à la Hands on a Hardbody: Whoever kept their hand touching the plane the longest won.) Donaldson once gave his buddy Ludwig, a video game streamer with 3.7 million subscribers, a video that cost him $1 million to make . . . for free. It just wasn’t right for MrBeast. Donaldson’s videos, typically made on budgets of $1.5 million to $3 million, are famous for silly stunts (MrBeast counts to 100,000; MrBeast is buried alive for 50 hours in a coffin) and for giving out large sums of money ($10,000 to $1 million) for doing things like stealing a diamond in a warehouse guarded by laser alarms, or staying inside a circle painted in his field for 100 days. That’s a lot of money going out the door. But much more is coming in thanks to UA-cam, Facebook and TikTok.

As a father of a 13-year-old son, this is one of the few UA-camrs I encourage my son to watch. Mr. Beast is a hugely positive light on this generation, and his work ethic and kindness are a shining example to my son and me.

Mr. Beast is a shining example of what genuine kindness and hard work can achieve. The world needs more people like him.
This is the reason why he is going to be the first billionaire. Never has YT seen someone so dedicated to learning everything about the site. Most UA-camrs take it easy once there at his position, but this man has just begun a conquest to make _everyone_ watch his videos. Jimmy deserves everything he has been given. Truly the beast.

@@markgeorge2200 Mr. Beast is definitely 100% none of that. He didn't even publish that one video which cost half a million to make since it didn't fit his standards so a friend asked him (Ludwig) if he could publish the video to his channel instead to which Mr. Beast agreed.
Edit: To people who are saying that Mr. Beast abused his editor 3 yrs ago, that was proven false as there are no significant evidence of him doing so. Heck Mr. Beast even pays for that editor's living and apartment. There has been no news on the incident since then.
@@ThrustersX It was a $1.1M shoot actually. I've been watching Lud for a few years and Mr. Beast for about 6 years or so. I didn't watch all of his videos back then but my younger brother really enjoyed him so I watched occasionally with my brother. To see them collaborate and to see jimmy get to as huge as he is now is really crazy.

I've been watching Jimmy from the early days. It brings a tear to my eye to see him soo successful, yet talk about not needing materialistic things and instead helping people. He has always loved helping people and I wish more people were like this, the world would be a much better place.

i’ve been so skeptic of this guy for the past few years thinking, “there’s no way he’s in this not for the money”. but after all this time, he shows that he has the interests of the people at heart and lives a genuine and sincere lifestyle. i respect that a lot.

I subbed to him when he was around 30,000 subs and it’s honestly been remarkable to watch his growth. Some of his older content and the way he did things I just had a feeling like how is this guy not bigger? I could just tell that the way he did things he was going to become popular, but wow I could’ve never imagined that he would literally become a global celebrity and would fundamentally changed how we thought of youtubers and how the platform/internet works.

he may be the 1st to make a billion dollars from youtube, but he puts most of the money he makes back into making videos. he lives in what’s essentially a small studio apartment, not a huge mansion or even fancy house. he’s not in it for the big bucks, and that’s what makes his content so great.
I don’t think we’ll ever see a UA-camr become so successful as MrBeast. That’s factoring in his Subscriber count, average views per video (AVP) count, like to dislike ratio and average watch time. It’s incredible what this man HAS accomplished and IS accomplishing. Right now we are literally witnessing a boy who was just your average person turning into a man making absolutely millions.

Jimmy is a workaholic. He is clearly very driven and proactive in his life and work method. I always aims for bigger, more complex, more entertaining projects to one-up his previous ones. He used the analogy that building the business is like cocaine to him but his business is all about making people happy and with things like feastibles it's about making a healthier product that tastes and is closer to the price of an unhealthy product. My son at the time was 5 when he introduced me to Mr. Beast and at first it wasn't something I wouldn't let him watch normally, but my kid is very smart and told me he does a lot to help people. So I started watching it with him and now we even go get a few Mr Beast Burgers at on of our favorite restaurants in DC, Buca di Beppo. I am all for supporting someone who has a greater purpose and we have even watch plenty of interviews of him and his story and he seems to be as real as they come, not about the money but about helping people which has inspired my son to help the less fortunate. We are not rich in money but rich in the love and family and we share great experiences and our goal for next year is to help kids in foster care. One step at a time and we will begin planning and taking donations in 2023 and I can say this was inspired by Mr. Beast, thanks Jimmy Donaldson for inspiring the youth to do good when good come to you.

You cannot get here with pure luck, pure luck does not get you the insane channel analytics he has simply because it is unfathomably difficult to get the algorithm to constantly and consistently push your content out to people for over a year or two without losing a shred of relevance. As he puts it, you need to find something that a hundred million people would want to click on, and that is a very very difficult task

Not just one of the most humble UA-camrs, but one of the most humble people in general. Instantly likeable, fun, entertaining and always raising the bar. I mentioned him to my parents one time (who barely understand the internet at all lol) and my mom was like "aw I love Mr. Beast" lol. He reaches people other UA-camrs and influencers are unable to. Watching him just gives me an awesome feeling, I can't quite describe it.. But I kinda feel like a kid again when I watch his videos. He's turned life into his own little playground and I'll be here for it for many many years to come!
You just made my eyes water,,I remember when I was little and I got a doll from the community that helps families with little income; i was sooo happy at that time and moment; my parents were poor and my dad was the only provider and mom was sick so she can’t work but she was a housewife and took care of us too; I then got married right after high school with no college degree because that was my only route to be on my own but then I worked all that time to provide for my family and for my kids to have a better life than me and they did went to college and are all on their own now; I only wish I could do more for my parents when they are alive; I am not a millionaire but have enough to live but I still have to work as I’ve got bills to pay; I only wish I can retire now and not work so hard but work keeps me going; I think part of me is because I’ve seen and been there what poor is and that motivation to work and keep going is installed in me; just watching your video touches my heart and I hope you can help many, many, more people as you have a big heart thanks for letting me share my story with y’all; I can go on and on but I will pause here; may your channel have many, many more subscribers ❤️
It’s awesome to see Mr Beast reaching main stream media and more people as a result. Hopefully his message and outlook on life, business and his positive energy can rub off on people at all levels of society.
It's really inspiring to see his humility and his drive to help other people. It makes me question the purpose behind my own business. For me, my business is a way of expressing my creativity. However, seeing this makes me want to redirect my creative efforts to positively impact other people's lives.

Well technically the money can actually matter. Your will determines who gets your money, but if you don't have a will, then yeah it doesn't really matter.

All shot on the iPhone when they had to have been about 16 or 17. Dudes inspiring and I hope...
