    WOW! Such a blast from the past. My daughter and I attended his classes back in...1997??? His studio was located in Croton-on-the-Hudson then. This brings back so many memories. I still wish we didn't have to quit back then, but my husband at, Mitchel, had passed and our financial picture changed drastically. Such an awesome dude! I even babysat for a lady friend of his. Watching this brings a big smile to my face - still have my yellow belt. I send many bows to you Grand Master Moon :)

    This is great! I took Tae Kwon Do in the early 80's and have almost completely forgotten the forms. Now it is being offered at my workplace as a fitness option, and I want start again. This is a fantastic refresher. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Excellent work.

You explain with great patience and clarity, how you also make your students do it calmly so that it is easy to learn. thank you ! because today I am a black belt running for a second Dan and part of this I owe to you. • @tobyu145
      @tobyu145 10 місяців тому

      The turns are always the hardest part.
      I always tell my younger students that you turn with your elbow....or that it guides you.
      I often tell them that we can draw a little happy face on their elbow or a sticker with eyes nose and a and the eyes can only see one way so that is the way you have to turn!
      Then, you need to coach them with which arm goes up when you fold them to do your chamber before you turn for the next move.
      Every time except number 9 and number the hand that is out doing the punch will be the one that comes up BUT for 9 and 17 it will be the opposite hand so they have to switch.
      Then, you just follow your elbow.

    I probably shouldn't comment on this but here goes and I'm not replying to comments from it. That is not a traditional Tae Kwon Do form; it is a Tang Soo Do form. It's name is Kicho Hyung Cho Bu. And yes I know about Korea renaming all Korean martial arts styles to Tae Kwon Do in the early 60's, then reversing that a year or two later. My school was one of those that called the art Tae Kwon Do as a result of it and just kept calling it that even after the policy was changed back to the original naming of the arts. This fellow is probably teaching Tang Soo Do and calling it Tae Kwon Do like numerous others.

      I hope this helps :)
