Awesome build. Im new to overlanding. Im on a budget and didnt want to use my pickups for overlanding. I researched the Excursion and Suburban for my rig. I opted for the Suburban Z71 because the price of $2,300 was hard to pass on. Combined with more room to work on in the engine compartment if issues arise, the electronic 4x4 and factory G80 limited slip. We don’t have the awesome off road scenery on the east coast. So i will definitely be taking a trip out west for vacation time. Im keeping it simple, removed the seats and threw in a mattress for now. Will get a cooler and other supplies. May even get a fishing kayak one day.
This thing is sick. I remember seeing it on offer up before you guys bought it and thinking what a cool van to buy. Of course I didn’t realize how much work it would have needed. You guys killed it.
A well thought out built & done well... The cup rincer is brilliant. I zipped tied my faucet to it is always on spray. (like you ringer only right side up ) I have a deep sink - Gold You should try a battery soap dispenser - huge dif. & a foot operated tap switch (mine is a manual marine foot pump by choice) You use less water & hands free is alway nice. Half my drawers are skinny (.3.5" tall) - I like it a lot I really like the fridge placement. Does having to crawl over it on a regular get old after a stretch? (seems to me that it would) One thing that I would like to suggest is to install a wood top to the top of the large 1/2 of the fridge a/w with a swivel at the right location so the reversed passenger seat user can spin the wood top around so it can be used as a more fixed table for the laptop and/or cutting board. I saw how you had a lapboard & that looked ghetto as Hell-:) I did this very thing on another build - it was not as nice as the Lagun on my current build - But it worked well enough.
@@AllyandLance Got it. Just spent 5 months roaming the S West in my Transit. I have a 1 foot square ish container between the seats - any higher - It would deem it a real PITA. But - YDY👍
I have a few 7.3 Quigleys. One is "Currently misfiring" as well. I havent pulled the engine (its a 1995 cutaway), but we believe and injector stuck open and blew a hole in piston #3. For $79k..... you might want to get that fixed for the buyer. Just saying pulling/putting engine back in is a 20 hour+ ordeal. There are also issues with glow plug tips breaking off/carboning (distorting/swelling ends). Could be a crack in injector wiring harness as well (common issue). Honestly, the 7.3 is great, but LOVE the v10 w/5r110 (2014) tranny...smooooth and pull a house.
Hey guys, I really enjoyed your van build and got some great tips from you. Your custom running boards with the flip up step is totally awesome. You guys are very handy. How did you fab the step to click in place while driving? Very cool
Ally and Lance, PLEASE explain the Ford you have ( make, model ) ? Do you two build on other vans including other makes, models ? For a similar build how much will it cost ? JUST Beautiful, you and your BUILD !
Over a year ago I did my 1" square tubing frame work as well. I love it, with my battleship Grey and traction tire print material. I have a hard time believing you dropped the floor 2 inches. All gen4 Econolines are unchanged. They have the same frame work and fuel tank location & floor clearance as well as transfer case clearance. The other issue is the body mounts are about 1" to 1 1/8" thick with the belly tank set at frame height it seems impossible to drop the floor 2 with only 1" -11/8" clearance. I'm 6'2" and my top is more than high enough for me to stand. I see yours looks to be Fiberine 24" top. When Lance is in it it looks like 2-3" clearance but then you raise the rear dinette floor, why go thru all that work if you did? Also you should correct the video about your power. I have 640 ah did you and with all those drawers? Do you mean 560. Other than that all good looks. Good to see you have the longer arms on the suspension. Good for you to pull out all the bus conversions. It doesn't take much effort with a tug strap. I pulled a charter bus once out of a side ditch in the snow with a Cherokee Jeep!
This build is excellent 👌🏼 Super well thought out Where did the raised roof come from? Was it a junkyard pick? Did you guys buy it? Or did you build it yourself?
Really amazing build! Very impressive! Can you share how you designed the slider for the windows? What was the structure you used for the sliders to slide on?😊
It’s a quarter inch piece of wood that slides beneath our wall. So we just made the support wood that the wall is screwed into thicker and above/below the slider. I hope that makes sense 🙏🏼
@@AllyandLance Yes that was what I was planning to do myself. I was just concerned about how it might look and how well it would slide. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!
Hola saludos desde por acá en Veracruz México me gusta con techo alto pero por acá no hay quien los fabrique les quedó muy bien sobretodo el 4x4 ok sigan pasándola bien saludos
Can tell this one was built to be lived in. Don't understand some of these builders that barely put any storage in. Wonder what it weights when empty like that. Is that painters tape I spotted in the wheel well? Lol GLWS
Do you seriously have 5600 amp hours of lithium in that van that is massive I’ve only got 400 amp hour in mine where the hell did you put all the batteries
A stove oven? I would say some builds don't have a restroom. I've seen buids with a sink and stove. They all don't use the stove as much and the sink holds dirty dishes. They make dishwashers for that.
Nicely done Ally n Lance . Terrific job on the Build and the Tour. Have a Blessed weekend . Laterz Leland . P.s. Ally you know how to contact me and I am wondering if you can send me a new address for mailing you items? Take care Ya'll been missin' Ya🤪
Luv the build the baddest van interior ever!!! But seen this van on FB marketplace with a bad tranny or engine I cant remember for 75k smfh .. Greed and doing the most is ruining society…….

🤔🤔😊👍5, 600 Amp Hours !!
The best build design for a standard length Econoline I've ever seen.
I still can’t believe you’re selling it after all the work you put in to make it perfect for you both! I wish I could buy it.
@@Espo78 how much was he asking ? I didn’t hear him saying they selling it. That’s a badass van
@@wilfredolopez476870k it’s in the pinned comments.
It's a lot of money but its a lot of van too! Actually sounds reasonable.@@Espo78
What an amazing build 👏
You both did a fantastic job on the van. I think Lance is an AI!😂 Great work!!
Thanks Adam!

Wow!!! This van is incredible!!! You two have thought of everything…and the storage!!!!!!
Wow, Ally and your van was awesome. Anything you could possibly want, you guys have provided!!! Great job guys!!!

You sure did blow your build out of the water!! I like it so much better then your bus! Good to see you both again. Happy trails!
Missed you guys, I enjoyed watching the build of this thing - Wish I had the coin to snatch it up
I love your build I wish u could build out my van
Great build and awesome cabinet design !!
That's a bad ass exterior and a beautiful interior. Great rig!
Question, is the hood-fenders- lights and grill direct bolt on fit
I believe so. About to do a 2003 cut away with a 2014 fender/grille combo. I looked it up. Pretty straight forward.
Thanx! I have an 02
Awsome I wish I could buy it it's perfect !
What a great build! cheers!

Lol! Was a bit ghetto (it is the peice of countertop from the oven) hahaha. Great ideas we will definitely implement on the next one!! Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼
It would get a little old crawling over, but it did keep the dogs out of our hair when driving 🤷🏽♀️ so in our situation it worked out nicely

We got ours from a junk yard and ive driven past some in baja maybe you can snatch one up!
Beautiful build, the faux cabinet could be functional if you shortened the door to open past the ac
Its not the opening space its what's hiding behind thats the issue :)
I have never needed extra space to prep and cook. Unless I was cooking for 10 people. Restaurant cooks do miracles with so little space.
Damn!
Hi ya wow, what a beast , 🦖🦖, you’ve done so well. Take care and stay safe cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🚐♻️❤️
