Top "notch" or should I say "mortised" work as always 😅👏👍💪Dont work too hard 🤙
Thanks Jonny
You got a good start! Looking forward to your roof video!
Looks great Dave! Well done!
Dave, your mortise and tenon framing has to be incredibly strong, and love the cedar for looks, light weight, rot and insect resistant. Excellent
Thanks Dave! Great insight.
Excellent craftsmanship your campers are truly a work of art.
Thanks!
Coming along nice.
Thanks my friend
Dave, how much do you predict it will weigh? Do you measure and sketch these campers/shell ahead of time, then follow the plan or is there a lot of build as you go? I can’t wait to see how light this is.
I don’t have a solid prediction yet, but my gut tells me about 200 pounds
I totally understand the concept behind the laminations in terms of strength to weight ratio. But good Lord, it would take me five times as long to build the camper if I had to wait for the glue to dry on every laminated frame member. My answer to warped and twisted 2x2s is just a rip them out of 2x4s. It’s also a lot cheaper that way.
With that said, I'll probably try your method on my next build
👍
Good points…
@@EndgameCampers the current project is a pop up, so strength of the base frame will be paramount without a solidly attached roof structure. We'll see how it goes
