Johnie, after seeing this I looked at my Eurographics one is Home Tweet Home 1000 pieces printed in Canada and manufactured in the USA, it is good quality, ok sized pieces , not to much glare a fun build... I also have Cookie Party 1000 piece that is designed in Canada but made in China..it is of poorer quality, smaller pieces, thin cardboard, shiny, I have not done this one yet.... I am very curious now to see more of this brand that you have and I hope you mention where they are manufactured. And if yours are all the same manufacturer.... I find with other brands also there is not a standard quality, some even differ with piece count.... interesting.....wonder if others notice this...
Hey again! After reading your comment, I had to go check immediately and I can see all 4 of them are printed in Canada and manufactured in the USA. I will pay attention to that in the future and see where my favorite ones are made and the bad ones too!
@@JigsawJohnie ohhhhh good you have the better quality ones.....I cannot find a year printed on any of the ones I have, I have a 300 count and a couple 500 count and they are all nice quality.... ........ I have found this to happen with Dowdle puzzles too..... different manufactures...... I have maybe 30 of that brand so I like them .. but one I got it was so bad I didnt even finish it.... poor poor quality, I complained and got a credit toward a new one, I find all this interesting... who says puzzles are boring... lol.. thanks for doing your channel I enjoy it..
Eurographics is a good brand, I've done a good few of their puzzles and they've never disappointed. I recognised the image straight away as a Ravensburger My Haven puzzle called The Beach Hut which I have done. Common practise for brands to use the same image but give it a different name. Eurographics do smart cut as well as ribbon cut jigsaws. Look forward to seeing your next video.
Hi, Jigsaw Johnie. 4 beautiful puzzles. Cool that Eurographics sent you the puzzles. I have never done one by that brand. I will look into it. Thanks for the video.
Btw, your "Circle of Colours - Ice Cream" puzzle inspired me to put grapes in my bowl of ice cream. I don't think I have ever thought of putting fruits in my bowl of ice cream before..... I put three scoops of ice cream, then I put crème Chantilly over ice cream, and finally I added a handful of grapes. Looks delicious..... Yum-yum Miam-miam
They all look pretty fun to do, my favorite would be the first one (roman art gallery) because of the tiny details. Hopefully the printed image on the pieces is also of a good quality
Great review. Eurographics is good quality and I would purchase again. I like their images. People are starting to buy their Halloween puzzles, so, not too early for a review. That puzzle place on Hwy 20 is awesome, by the way.
well that was very nice,, nice of Eurographics to send you puzzles I enjoy that brand too.. Love all the puzzles and yes we told ya long time ago ya need another shelf... the puzzle bug has bitten you and there is no going back... no it is not to early for Halloween but I also would like to see some closer to the holiday I love Halloween.... the lifeguard ring is just that or lifebuoy or lifesaver...... that was a fun puzzle... I for one do not care about speed puzzling, how long it takes to complete one or the pickup challenge.....I enjoy like you said,, zoning out, letting myself enjoy the doing..... I enjoyed this review you were spot on.... I have done 5 or 6 Eurographics and enjoyed them all ... I love your yellow chairs.... see ya in the next one....
I really like Eurographics puzzles. They have a great catalogue of images. I have, maybe 2 dozen of their puzzles . . but who's counting ha ha. My experience has been that the 300 and 500 piece puzzles do pass the pickup test whereas the 1000 piece ones are more crumbly. I'm like you though in that I don't really care about picking them up. I always enjoy your videos, you are becoming a new favorite of mine to watch. Also, your little dog is adorable.
Steve Read is the artist. I also have done Ravensburger's version of this image. Some Eurographics have been "2 x 2" cuts. It's nice to see the variety in this ribbon cut. (That is when I paused and zoomed in!) Thx -- always a delight.
Love Eurographics because I like to learn as I puzzle. Recently did Vintage Stamps with Butterflies. Learned international currency and butterflies. They have a lot of collections. Great stuff.
Great video! I've done Eurographics 1000 piece Birthday Party Cakes and loved it! The pieces were delicious! I thought the quality was very good as well with a thick sturdy piece and fit well together without any misfits at all. Also, I love the wide range of pictures they have and sizes. The 500 piece is totally different in piece shape and is so fun to put together. Go for that Halloween puzzle! I'd like to see you put together one of those other puzzles Eurographics sent you - the camper one or the art one.
Thanks JJ 🎉for the puzzle 🧩 review I’m fairly new to puzzling and was not familiar with this brand but I loved the designs you shared! Have fun with the camping VW bus that one looks super fun and colorful! 🎨
Glad you liked the video. Also make sure to always take a look at the other comments under my review videos. It's good to see what others have to say about the brand. I could be wrong sometime but so far the comments are very positive on this one. Everyone seems to really like this brand. It was my first one and I'm already working on another Eurographics. I learned yesterday that you should read the box when you buy it. Some are manufactured in the USA while others are made in China. It seems the quality is not the same. So far all my puzzles are from USA so I cannot compare...
I had done the puzzle you just done but in the Ravensburger brand, that was my favorite series. I’d collect more Eurographic puzzles if they’d only make their boxes smaller. They take up so much room. However the quantity is good and they have great images. I think you should wait till the beginning of October to do the Halloween puzzle though. It looks like a fun one, so colourful.
The only Circle of Colours I own is the Tropical model. I love it. It's fabulous. It's gorgeous. It's one of my favourite puzzles. My PB on it is 60 minutes exactly. After many tries.
Never done that brand but liked all 4 of them. I like puzzles for different reasons, but these 4 all fit my category of a scene I would like to be in. I get all my puzzles second hand at thrift stores so it's always nice to have an idea of the quality as sometimes the puzzles land there because they are poor quality. I don't care either if they don't click or pass a pickup test as long as they interlock well on the table and don't keep dis-assembling! Thanks again for your commentary and letting us vicariously participate in your puzzling adventures! PS if I see this brand, will definitely try it as your recommendation carries weight with me!
Thank you for the comment! So far all the comments seem super positive on the Eurographics brand. Good to see I'm not the only one! I'll try harder ones later, I was not in the mood this week. Maybe one of those Halloween ones will give me a harder time :)
Perfect time to start Halloween puzzles because your subscribers need time to watch, decide if they want it and either budget for and/or have shipped in time for Halloween season 🎃 👻
Your space issue reminds me of the tower of 500-piece-ravensburgers from karen puzzles. If you know what I'm talking about, there you have it: you don't have to find space in/on your shelves to buy more puzzles :)
Eurographics are fun. Was a few I haven't seen before, and I'm really looking forward to the art one. Looks challenging and interesting. Keep it up. No, it's not too early for Halloween stuff.
Ravensburger, My Heaven No 7, is the Image, the only difference ist the kitchen cabinet. Ravensburger blue, Eurographics yellow. Do you ever tried a smart cut from Eurographics?
I'm never satisfied with my times. I always feel dumb and stupid and slow lol. On each attempt, I always expect 10-15 minutes faster than what I really do. I know I can do way better, but I'm exhausted, it is a huge handicap. For example : "The Magic River" (500 pieces) by Ravensburger 1st attempt 1 h 55 2nd attempt 1 h 38 3rd attempt 1 h 26 I have been sleeping only 4 hours by night lately. So when I puzzle, I get numb and confused when I reach the middle of the puzzle or a little more. Too many mental operations to do, and I'm too exhausted. It's like my brain says "fuck off !"
@@JigsawJohnie It's just that I would expect way better than 1 h 26 on my third attempt on this model..... I have been practicing hard since mid-February on a lot of different puzzles, so I have high expectations..... But I know that, eventually, I'll get close to the one-hour mark or even under an hour if I persevere with this model.... Btw, my PB on 500-piece puzzles is 47 min on the "NYC Postcard" by Ravensburger (after many many many many attempts) And on 300-piece puzzles, my PB is 26 min 20 on "Worldly Attractions" by Ravensburger
