This is so fuckings twisted and exaggerated.
When he says "it's not what we do here", he means that the UFC's thing is not gimmick fights, the UFC's thing is matching up fighters to find out who the best in the world is.
And that's what the UFC does. Do they do a gimmick fight here and there as well? yeah sure.

The biggest miss The UFC made (other than not securing Fedor), was failing to arrange the Anderson/GSP fight (even if at a 178 catch weight) 😢
I hear yah. I would have killed for that fight. But it was problematic in terms of outcome. If Silva smashed GSP in one round, then boom, their biggest PPV star, GSP, drops massively in popularity. If GSP decisioned Silva then UFCs “P4P king” looks weak. UFC makes their fuck you money on star-power. And to make one of their biggest stars potentially look weak was a risk they weren’t willing to take at the time.
The UFC went above and beyond the secure Fedor. It was his manager that tanked the deal by trying to force the UFC to buoy his shit company (M-1) through co-promotion.
Conor has had a rumor about him fighting almost everyone on the roster at this point.
Certainly every recognisable name in the divisions he's been in, and also Jake Paul.

Anthony Johnson retired from mma so he could play for some nfl team. Also there were a couple of fucked up ones, like Whitaker took a break because his child died and Yairs family member was executed by the cartels. Both of those were spread because Dana said that they were going through something tough if I remember correctly.
A rumor I remember going around way back when, was that Jones verbally tapped when Vitor caught him in that arm bar. Allegedly, someone cage side heard him verbally tap. Vitor and the ref both somehow didn't hear him and Jones was able to escape right after
Maybe he got off the armbar because of the verbal tap....

I heard Roxanne Modafferi was in the lobby of a hotel during fight week and didn't hold the elevator door for her opponent once.
I also heard when Roxy goes to the gas station she gets the biggest slushy cup first, walks around a bit as she sips on it, then tops it off and puts a regular drink lid on so it's 29 cents cheaper.

I hate that people still take away from Alistair's win over Lesnar because Brock had just recovered from diverticulitis. If Brock wasn't 100% or near that, he shouldn't fight anyone. Alistair would beat Brock diverticulitis or not.
No fighter is ever 100% after a training camp. Even the fighters that no longer spar, still have injuries come fight night.
Lesnar got wrecked, and would get wrecked 9/10 times fighting Overeem during his horsemeat phase.

People hype up Brock even though he became champion at HW's lowest point. Brock is a beast and a legit fighter, but he never would've come anywhere near the title at any other point in UFC's history.
