My idea for a new K. Rool theme is always Mafia. Picture the boss himself in a pinstripe suit, calling himself Don K. Rooleone and trading in his blunderbuss for a tommy gun. Plus it'd be a fun theme for the rest of his kremling krew, with Krusha breaking out some brass knuckles and Klump stuffing his fat gut into a three piece suit and tie.
Damn that's actually a good one. Smoking a banana instead of a cigar or something. I really like the Mafioso theme idea, it would be easy to fit his crew with matching attire.
my idea was always Kount K Rool, in a hypothetical dkc4 on the SNES, the next game would be kiddy with someone else, who better than kiddy’s brother chunky. Chunky is afraid of basically anything so a horror themed k rool and kremling krew would be perfect for him, Kount K rool would be dressed as a vampire and he could teleport around or use metal bats to swoop at you.
@@mattb6522 Yeah that sounds awesome!! and I'd also like to see him as cross between Jenner from "the secret of NIMH" and Angel Eyes from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" villains.fandom.com/wiki/Jenner villains.fandom.com/wiki/Angel_Eyes
That's how I've always seen it. It makes the most sense, starve the Kong's off the land, and then just simply walk in. More land for the kremlings to thrive on, simple as that.
I wish Kaptain K. Rool was a costume in Smash. But the fact that he and the Donkey Kong series got the love they truly deserve in Ultimate is more than enough. I love this guy.
My ridiculous K. Rool idea that would never happen is he takes up the mantle of Kringle K. Rool and is a Santa analogue, stealing all the banana's (or DK/Diddy/Dixie/any Kong) as a gift to himself (and his kremlings if he's feeling generous) during a Kremling focused Christmas-like holiday (Krem-mas?). You'd get stuff like K. Rool stealing Rambi to use as a Rudolf-esque sleigh puller. Another idea was a Warioware inspired game where K. Rool makes an addictive micro-transaction filled game studio to kon the kongs out of their bananas. Bonus points if uh, K. Rool is dressed as Wario. Could also be inspired by/working with Gruntilda, with where she left off after Nuts & Bolts, being tasked to create her own video game.
I've always thought it would have been great if it turned out that King K. Rool was the one that was freezing everything with a magic horn he had found. Would have been a great plot twist with how little you get to see of Lord Fredrik before the boss fight.
I was actually kinda expecting that to happen when I first played through Tropical Freeze. Just from the fact that they both have such similar body types, and how Lord Fredrik was silhouetted when you first saw him...to the point I was actually disappointed that he _wasn’t King K. Rool when I finally got to him.
He should come back as a Ringmaster. Think about it. His tricks, traps, confounding techniques, and otherwise treacherous tribulations fit perfectly for an evil ringmaster role.
I have an idea of a new K. Rool persona: Caveman-Cowboy! Most of KKR's army left him, and he tries to attack the Kongs from underground, which explains why we haven't seen him since because he spent years digging this tunnel. He discovers a prehistoric world underground, similar to Ice Age 3, and starts to enslave the prehistoric creatures and becomes a dinosaur riding caveman with a wild west bandit motive!
One of my favorite elements of k rool as a character is how he gets you to take his plans semi seriously but pulls off being a complete goof at the same time. He's intimidating, but fun, and that makes him cool. Also Crocodiles n alligators are badass.
I wanna see K.Rool and the Kremlings come back, but not as the main villains. I want K.Rool to be sort of a frenemy to the Kongs. DK’s a laid-back guy, he’d pal around with K.Rool in spite of past murder attempts. K.Rool would equally be a help and a health hazard.
What I liked most about the first Battle against King K. Rool is not the fake credits, but how suddenly he appears. First I saw the ship on the overworld and thought "Oh nice, a whole pirate ship wold. Must be the last world" But when I entered the world, I wasn't brought to a level select screen, but just entered a level. I thought "Oh, this must be the last level already" Then I went along, expecting a normal, difficult level, but then, K. Rool was just there without an introduction and the fight began.
A space game where the prologue is a different game like Metroid but more slapstick comedy, by the end you are introduced to his first boss fight in a rocketship, samus gets bodied and are left with kongs who beats him but accidentally presses the launch button into a entirely different galaxy
I want it retconned that K. Rool orchestrated the events of both Returns and Tropical Freeze, with both the Tikis and Snowmads making reappearances alongside him and his Kremlings as the antagonists. The final world would end with a boss gauntlet with rematches against both Tiki Tong and Lord Frederick before finally facing off against the big man himself.
That's the one thing that bugs me about DK Country Returns and Tropical Freeze. No K. Rool or Kremlings. Just like how comic characters have "their" villains that they fight, game characters have that too. Mario fights Bowser. Link fights Ganon. Samus...has a lot of enemies I suppose, but you can point to the Metroids cause that's what the series is called. Finally, Donkey Kong has K. Rool. Returns kinda disappointed me at first enemy-wise because they were just these general enemies (haven't finished it yet though, so it could change). Tropical Freeze has a great theme of icy and arctic enemies, but those games lacking the kremlings of the earlier entries was very noticeable.
You know if king k rool did return in donkey kong country returns and tropical freeze I bet he be dressed as a spooky voodoo witch doctor and a viking warlord.
They said themselves that they just didn't want to. They wanted to make their own thing instead, which I think is comprehensible and helps separating the old games from the new ones, but honestly neither Lord Fredrik nor that weird ancient god thing from Returns get close to his charisma, if someday there is a DKC Returns 3 (which I'm not sure at this point tbh) I hope they bring him back
@@davidrummeney7598 actually no, if that was the case they would be allowed to use Diddy King since he and the whole DKC cast are Rare creations. They just wanted to make something new
I feel bad for the king, if he defeated DK he could probably give up evil & spend time with his wife, but as long as there’s the Kongs he’ll always come back
this video stumbled into my recommended and I am so glad the YT algorithm brought me here. You encapsulated my love for King K. Rool so well. I'm rooting for that western DKC installment
Make K. Rool the Krock Father with his goons terrorizing a 1920's-style city. DK and his friends would have to break into his Night Klub and defeat him in an ultimate rap vs. crooning battle. Maybe the protagonist should be Funky Kong?
I want Mecha K. Rool and this would work perfectly with the Wild West theme. He could start with a classic pistol-slingin' boss fight, throwing tumbleweeds and whatnot, then for his final phase he'd hop in a massive steam engine mecha-suit thing and hang on the right side of the screen. Then, you'd hop on a train in pursuit and have to platform/dodge your way over to his steam engine and/or chuck barrels at the cockpit until it bombastically explodes and the ol' King gets blasted off into the sunset like Team Rocket.
Just 102% beat DKC2 again last night. Very excited to check out your race! Have always loved Donkey Kong Month and I’m sad to see it go. But I’m sure we’ll get some new content if a new game ever comes out!
If K. Rool comes back in Donkey Kong Country 6, his personality should bear resemblance to his appearance in DK64 instead of the "haha I am so mean" bad guy.png in King of Swing and Jungle Climber. This time around K. Rool won't want to blow up the island, but instead he will personally want to destroy each and every Kong(taking up the identity of a hunter). The Kongs could pursue some other adventure while K. Rool tries to take them down one by one, which can create gameplay similar to Metroid Fusion where the S-A-X tries to hunt and kill you. There is so much potential and I hope Retro Studios puts that potential to the test.
I love King K. Rool and you can imagine my reaction when he was revealed to be in Smash! Also, props to the kongs mimicking K. Rool's jumps at 2:38 lol
I kind of love the spot K Rool is in now - clawing his way back to relevancy through sheer bravado and a desire to one-up Donkey Kong. So I'd say, play that bit up for his next appearance. Make him specifically there to counter the Kongs and make their lives living Hells. Give him a jetpack to fight against Diddy in a field of burning brambles to mock the famous bits of Donkey Kong Country 2. Have him fail to send robots with giant fruit weapons out against Funky. Have him throw barrels at Cranky Kong. And end it all with a big fight against DK - no gimmicks, just K Rool at his most feral and deranged, cape shredded, crown discarded, attempting to overpower the big ape in pure strength and speed. And give him a tie that he makes out of the scraps of his cape to really sell it. And then just as a final thing, do you remember the discarded concept for Banjo-Threeie that involved Gruntilda competing with Banjo to finish objectives in a level? I would LOVE if K Rool had a post-game challenge that was that - just reframe the already-existing time trials into races against K Rool. Maybe beat enough of them and unlock a secret final boss or a playable K Rool as a New Game Plus kind of bonus? Give me SOME incentive to do them! Thank you for propping the big ape up for so long!
I want this so badly now! I loved the deranged and insane part of K. Rool’s character and to see that return and turned up to 11 would be the perfect way to bring him back
What if he moved to the moon and built a space ship to come back and steal all the bananas, and his fight would take place on the ship while it’s leaving orbit.
One idea I have is K. Rool being a criminal overlord called Kingpin K. Rool, where he's terrorizing New Donk City, so Mayor Pauline enlists the help of DK and Cranky to fight the Kremling Gang and end their reign of terror over the city.
He steals the bananas only to use the peels to polish his belly armour. Then he throws away the banana. The ultimate rotten deed to end the DK and the apes.
You didn't mention my favorite part of the DKC boss fight. When K. Rool throws his crown, he turns towards the camera, breaking the fourth wall and taunting the actual person playing the game instead of their avatar Donkey Kong. Or maybe he's looking for applause from an audience that isn't there, he's just that crazy.
For the next DK game, I was thinking about it being about food and K.Rool could be a chef. K.Rool could travel the world and steal as many bananas as possible while also showing off his cooking skills. Donkey Kong could chase him down and also become a chef. The final battle could be a cook-off or food fight where K.Rool throws his dishes at you while wearing a chef's hat. There could be worlds based off of Italy, France, Japan, other Asian countries, fast food, and other types of food and cultures.
K. Rool's new theme is cavemen, and the Kremlings lead the Kongs to a Dinosaur Island filled with all sorts of prehistoric pests. He'd wear a red animal pelt resembling his red cape, and the fight is a chase through a bubbling tar pit as Cave K. Rool rides a giant Deinosuchus.
I'm not the most experienced with DKC (only played the first on NSO a few months back), but I think K. Rool becoming the head of a company and having his "lair" be an office in a big city would be hilarious. Just imaging K. Rool in a tie.
Never thought about it, but you're right. They always do an amazing job. I just beat Mickey's Magical Quest again. While I love evil Pete more than anything else, the boss battle wasn't anything too special. King K Rool battles are so well done.
I want a western, but a weird western that covers all the places that fit a western tale. 7 samurai, spaghetti westerns, anything that has a conflict of bandits and Johnny Law
I think the Wild West theme is a good idea and fits well with an idea I had for DKR3: K. Rool uniting the previous two antagonists from DKCR and TF with the Kremlings, or in this case could be called something like the K Rool gang or Kremling gang, a band of outlaws under his leadership. I can imagine the Spaghetti western style cuts showing villains like Lord Fredrik in a weird cowboy Viking fusion costume.
I have one idea for a new theme, make it about superheroes, where he at first takes the role of a generic superhero, your typical parody of superman, and finish it with actual supervillain aesthetics, you know, the purple or red clothes, a giant robot, his minions holding futuristic but useless weapons, clouds of mysterious substances that does everything except for killing you (age-changing gas, size-changing gas, species-changing gas, you get it), maybe giving the stage some diverse comic book aesthetics from both manga and comics, both old and new, with thematic levels that changes the whole aesthetic of the level. Or what about a musical theme? With levels about manufacturing the instruments, taking inspiration from many countries, and the final battle changing between all the countries, maybe starting with classic jazz, then is a mariachi, then dances like a Hawaiian girl, becomes a reference to kiss, some Russian persecution, etc. With musical levels like in Rayman Legends but with the DK style.
maybe a astronaut because everytime they make him higher in some way DKC 1: king: he rules over his race, DKC 2: pirate captain: same thing but with more skill, DKC 3:scientist: his intelligens is higher, DKC 64: bokser: he is a champion in a very valiont sport (sorry i don't know how to spell that word in english)
K. Rool the kidd would be cool Personally id like to see K. Rool take on multiple personas in one game, imagine if you fight K. Rool at the end of each set of locations and his persona matches the theme, so yea mad dog K. Rool in a desert style area, Kount K. Rool (Dracula) in a spooky castle themed area, Czar K. Roolski in a icy area etc. I just think it would be hilarious to see him change constantly in one game
I've always said this to myself and I think this is the perfect place; Make him and the kremlings bloody gladiators. If there is anything to show how far off the deep end he's gone, then they can turn him into that
I was so convinced that the final boss of Tropical Freeze would be King K. Rool in disguise. From the opening cutscene where the actual final boss was hidden in shadow, with a body shape very similar to Rool’s...I was expecting him to reveal himself as such once I finally got to the final boss. The fact that he wasn’t definitely deflated the excitement for the final boss for me a good bit.
Two problems with that idea. 1; The KRool reveal wouldn't work bc you need to show the kremling krew. 2; K.Rool & his crew are reptiles, which can't handle the freezing cold.
@@boygame1955 1. Not necessarily. It could be that the Kremlings finally had enough of his poor leadership resulting in them constantly being defeated by the Kongs and so ousted him as leader & outcasted him, hence why he’s now throwing in with the Snowmads. 2. Meh. Bit weird to want to throw in realism in this specific instance when there’s oh so many other unrealistic things that happen in the DKC games. Besides which, the Kremlings seemed to have had no problem being enemies in both DKC1’s & DKC3’s snow worlds.
Now that you mention it, the next DKC game having a western theme would kick so much ass. It would also provide a nice contrast with the snow theme of Tropical Freeze.
I would love to have a Donkey Kong game in a modern-like time travel setting, with each world being a new era in time, similar Crash 4. For King K. Rool, he could be a time traveler adorned in classic, yet crazy explorer/scientist gear, as he transports DK out of his natural habitat to fully take him down. He could fight K. Rool while teleporting through all the locations DK platformed through. That would be amazing for me to see.
A western K.Rool sounds really good honestly. Now I've give the idea of what K Rool should do next and I've took it in a different approach. I thought about the idea that K.Rool kidnaps Mario and rather than destroy DK isle he tries to eliminate the mushroom Kingdom. Now I don't know the cannon of sides games and where the timeline of mario and dk per say align but the idea of K.Rool causing havoc to Mario somebody the Kong family has a rough history with. I think it could be an interesting approach.
Just a couple thoughts paraphrased from DK Vine podcasts: K. Rool's identity crisis personality traits seem like a gimmick but are so fun to imagine from a world-building standpoint. Forcing all the Kritters to cut off their legs in order to have peg legs and fit his new pirate motif shows how depraved he is. And it's especially humorous how he switches within DK64 itself. He's a calm and collected villain throughout, but once he crash lands right in DK's backyard and comes to terms with the fact that his whole plan was mere inches away from succeeding, he completely snaps.
I always thought that the Dlkc2 adaptation should come back. K Rool in that game was ruthless, barbaric, cruel, and crazy all at the same time. It's implied that he beat Donkey Kong for fun before Diddy and Dixie came to the rescue. While his moves do have some sort of whimsicality to them, it doesn't stop it from being intense and dark. The spiky balls and sound effects all exemplify this attribute and I would love to see a modern rendition of it. I personally think He, along with every villain Dk has ever faced, will team up in Dkc Returns 3. Just think about the possible interactions between the Snomads and the Kremlings! Think about how the levels could combine the dark atmosphere of dkc2, and the sheer spectacle and grandiosity of Tropical Freeze! It would be the definitive Donkey Kong game and would not only be the ultimate homage to the character but an ultimate homage to the entire Dkc universe. A Mario Odyssey of Donkey Kong if you will.
I totally agree with all of this, and it’s probably part of the reason why Kaptain K. Rool has always been my favorite adaptation of the character, followed by his regular King adaptation of course.
A Greek god He uses machines to use elements and has minions like hydra, harpy, krakens, etc. He is using his machines to take control of the weather so no more bananas can grow. You fight him in a Greek city in the clouds.
My idea for a new DKC would be that it has a prison theme. Just imagine: a dark, dangerous and mysterious, caved island, surrounded by sharks, sharp cliffs, dangerous reefs and sunken ships. King K. Rool comes to this island as a prisoner and thinks: "Oh my God! It's perfect, this my Kremlings is our new home!" And whoosh he breaks his chains, the Kremlings have broken out and have taken over the island. King K. Rool would have something like a Count of Monte Cristo identity ... maybe (the title Count bites a little with its king title, I know... or another suitable prison identity, maybe like the boss from the movie No Escape. But actually I like Monte Cristo ...) The Kremlings could wear black and white striped or orange prison clothes. And some would still have handcuffed around their wrists with chains, some of them additionally attached with iron balls(iron balls like the cannon balls in DKC2 maybe ??? ;-D) There would be a reunion with the Kremling (I think from DKC3) who was orange and jumped on his tail . Now he's wearing a straitjacket and a mask like Hannibal Lecter. And of course there would also be a reunion with many others. There could be a cemetery / ghost world in which there would be a reunion with Neckys (maybe they wear as vultures, which they are, maybe the mask of a hangman / executioner or something) And of course there would also be an ice world with a boss we know very well who wears an IRON MASK!?! Why the iron mask? Now King K. Roll only accepts ONE King on his new island! And that's himself. I also think that with this prison theme in mind, David Wise could create a breathtaking soundtrack for a DKC that could overshadow everything that has come before. Dark, mysterious and powerful. So Nintendo, I gave you the tools and the marble, now make a David out of it (or better: let Retro do it!) And damn it, give us the zingers back!
I have two strong memories from the original King K. Rool fight. The first one was watching a friend beat him the first round and then, thinking he'd won, he ran downstairs to tell his dad about his accomplishment. I stayed in front of the tv and watched in horror as the reptile suddenly got up and jumped Diddy. I called for my friend, but it was too late. He didn't even believe me at first. The second memory is when me and my sister tried to beat K. Rool ourselves and we struggled to get past his last faze of quick and small jumps. An older kid at school told me she knew how to do it and came by my house to show me by beating him. When my sister found out, she was absolutely livid, saying I betrayed her. I felt so bad, I can still feel the shame to this day.
I was thinking of a more musketer-esque thing, like he has a two mechanical arms placed in his normal arm like a bracelet, and all of them are holding those thin swords , like a parody of the tree musketers
I always thought it was slightly scarier that he seemed to enjoy this way too much, which is why Frederik and Tiki Tong were so forgettable. Other than the Wild West idea, I always thought it'd be hilarious yet epic to see him pilot Tiki Tong using DK's treasured Bongos as a hypnotic device, where each hit you take removes like 20 bananas and makes him more powerful or something.
Personally, I'm the kind of guy who wants to see King K. Rool be a villain for a Wario game, to prove that there's nothing too strange about the Mario universe. Not to mention, they could make interesting rivals.
I hope K. Rool makes a comeback in a future Donkey Kong game. I mean, the Tikis and Lord Fredrik were kind of bland baddies compared to K. Rool. K. Rool had a more whimsical presence and I could see a grandiose final battle with him and the Kongs in a modern Donkey Kong game. I hope Retro Studios (or whoever makes a new Donkey Kong game) brings back the Kremlings for their long overdue return!
There is a new world record in donkey Kong country 1 for SNES now any all stages right on the dot 31 minutes it's frigging awsome the 31 minute barrier has come insanely close to beating that crazy 31 minute barrier I hope someone talks about it all donkey Kong speedrun world records are exstreemly underated should get wayyyy more attention
I'm a big fan of the Cowboy K. Rool idea. If we go off the idea that every encounter with him he takes on another motif it would fit in perfectly. I also think it would be great to see him don the attire of a Samurai. Imagine your final encounter with him, instead of using all sorts of tricks and trinkets he just comes at you with a katana and it's DK who has to use the environment to get the upper hand this time.
DK sees k. rool at the end of the hall of his castle. K rool looks different. His right eye is glowing a light blue. K rool approaches, he is wearing a blue hoodie and pink slippers. DK feels as if he's going to have a bad time.
Explorer K. Rool. With his trusty saber to tame any wry monkey that should assault him. And if that fails, his trusty flare pistol used to call for backup by shooting it in the monkey's face... Where's my backup?
A sorcerer in a fantasy setting. He aquires a spell book and used his newfound powers to raise crocodile isle from the depths and turns it into a fantasy realm and turn donkey Kong island to stone including the banana hoard and the island residents. Donkey Kong Diddy kong and any other player characters were unaffected by the spell because they went on a fishing trip off island. Now they have to retread a changed crocodile isle and defeat K Rool, and reverse the spell to save their home.
K.Rool, Super Spy! Going around impersonating the Kongs and turning the island inhabitants against them. The final boss would take place on a secret kremling train that links DK Island and Kremling Island. Yes the train is going across the ocean, it's a train that floats and also how the kremlings got to DK Isle without boats or airships. K.Rool is in a stolen biplane, wearing a general's outfit, throwing waves of kremlings disguised as kongs at you. The front of the train turns into a robot to fight you (think the leg robots from megamanX that you can ride on) before you finally get to duke it out with General K. Rool.
You know what would be very fitting for King .K rool? If he were to start up a circus as a psycho clown or ring master in flashy clothing. The idea is that In a circus, there are actors and people who play crazy over the top roles, which is perfect for his tendency to play dress up and would open the opportunity of K rool to put on more costumes. Perhaps he would appear as a few mid bosses or a foil during levels (like he appears in cutscenes to cause a catastrophe or aid a foe in battle) until the final battle?
How about an evil sorcerer K. Rool? Or what if he kept his crown like in his boxer persona, but had knight's armor, like an evil take on King Arthur? Or Space Kommander K. Rool, ready to blast the Kongs from the depths of space? Btw, it's been suggested by Rare that K. Rool hates bananas... he merely stole them in the hopes of starving the Kongs and moving in on their turf.
For extra weirdness, the game could be Roman theme or something and when you finally get to the guy he's in the old west persona. But what if it's all his personalities? Like as separate people? Some mcguffin (magic mirror/potion of horrific separation) splits him into past versions of himself and the end showdown they all fight you at once?
I don’t know if I would say that I believe it’s true, but a theory I thought up is that in Donkey Kong Country Donkey Kong‘s island is not in fact his land to begin with. There’s a lot of abandoned architecture on the island like statues of Kremlings as well as Kremkroc Industries Inc. Not to mention all the abandoned, rundown mine shafts. The Kremlings are just trying to take it back by starving him out by taking his banana hoard. During donkey Kong 64 there’s talk of the Great Ape War, and I believe that it was probably a turf war of some sort where the Kongs ended up taking part of the Kremlings’ land. By DK64 K. Rool has completely lost it and decided that if he can’t have his home turf which he lost in Donkey Kong Country 2 and knowing he can’t get back the land he and his people lost control of because of all the times DK has bested him, then he might as well have the last laugh by destroying it with a giant laser.
Other themes the next K.Rool fight could have could be *Emperor* K. Rool (With a waay more over the top royal costume, maybe a cape that completely covers his body and hides two pegs he is standing on to be taller, over the course of the batle you destroy the costume making the pegs fall appart and dwarfing him back to his regular size, or perhaps a warlock/evil wizard theme could be neat. Maybe... maybe him piloting a mecha? Ooooh what about samurai theming.
Honestly, I've always said that K. Rool should be EVERY boss (or every other boss) for the next DKC so they can just keep costume swapping, ENDING on a 3 phase fight that's him going to his "greatest hits" but remixed or even combined (Wearing the backpack, pirate suit, boxing belt AND crown and cape? Horrifying.)
THAT'S a great idea - it'd be like the opposite of Bowser, instead of a minion just acting like him and the princess is in another castle, he just keeps coming back to fight some more. I love it
Instead of just one new gimmick, give him all of them. Each world in DKCR3 could be an homage to a different genre and a different new identity for K. Rool, menacing you throughout the world before skipping out after a miniboss-fight, but not before introducing the world's unique boss Yoshi's Story Kamek style. King K Rool and "Very Gnawty But Good" in a Jungle for world 1. Kaptain K. Rool and a mechanical shark/submarine/pirate ship for world 2. Baron Von Roolenstein chasing the Kongs through a steampunk London in a building-sized KAOS for world 3. A wild-west train fight against The Rool Gang in world 4. Kount Drac-Rool-a (I'm sorry) menacing them through world 5's horror themed zones. World 6 tops things off with Kosmonaut K. Rool's sci-fi moon base where he plans to launch Krooze missiles at DK Isle. Then you hit World 7. in the Moon's Kore, where you find that K. Rool hasn't been quickchanging costumes, he's been Kloning himself. Thus ensues a boss rush against all the K. Rools, who have to this point just been mini-boss esque preambles to the big fights but you now have to contend with two at a time. After defeating all of them, the true original K. Rool finally shows himself, with some properly Final Boss quality to him for a final match-up with the Kongs.
I really like the Mafioso theme idea, it would be easy to fit his crew with matching attire.
having a theme that could parody other mario titles would be cool too, like a wizard theme (Yoshi's Island) or a space theme (Mario Galaxy)
For years I thought the western idea was the better one but now I'm torned, Don K. Rooleone is too good!!
OH MY GOSH THAT WOULD BE AMAZING
my idea was always Kount K Rool, in a hypothetical dkc4 on the SNES, the next game would be kiddy with someone else, who better than kiddy’s brother chunky. Chunky is afraid of basically anything so a horror themed k rool and kremling krew would be perfect for him, Kount K rool would be dressed as a vampire and he could teleport around or use metal bats to swoop at you.
DKC: King on a Ship
DKC2: Captain in a Mechanical Airship
DKC3: Scientist in a Castle
DKC4: Cowboy in a hospital?
DKC4: knight in a lab
Ship -> Captain, Mechanical airship -> Scientist, Castle -> King,
Dkc4: basketball player in a nuclear research facility
DK64: King in a boxing match
A Wild West theme would honestly fit Donkey Kong really well, dang.
Not a weeb but asian theme too. David wise using asian instruments broo
Oh, hi WYE! The internet is a tiny place.
EDIT: A wild west theme for a DKC game would fit perfectly.
Indeed. Especially with minecarts.
Yeah, a Wild West theme does actually seem like a natural fit. I could see K. Rool with the stereotypical ten-gallon black cowboy hat and bandolier.
@@mattb6522 Yeah that sounds awesome!! and I'd also like to see him as cross between Jenner from "the secret of NIMH" and Angel Eyes from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"

About time someone recognizes how great k.rool is.
I always thought the point of him stealing bananas was to starve the kongs
That's how I've always seen it. It makes the most sense, starve the Kong's off the land, and then just simply walk in.
More land for the kremlings to thrive on, simple as that.
Figured stealing the bananas was a way for him to get rich. Bananas are an important global commodity.
@@GrizbyK72 I mean with the common theory of starving the kongs, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't sell the bananas he just stole to get rich.
Nah, he stole them to feed his kremling army. DK is selfish to horde bananas all to himself.
I'm pretty sure it was confirmed he wanted to starve the kongs so he could just take DK's tree house
I wish Kaptain K. Rool was a costume in Smash. But the fact that he and the Donkey Kong series got the love they truly deserve in Ultimate is more than enough. I love this guy.
still no tropical freeze music in smash
so I can't really say the DK series has gotten the love it truly deserves yet :(
It is kind of nice that they at least give him the hat and the blunderbuss. Still wish you would Don the jacket to go with it.
Here before Razbuten talks about his Ode to Zelda 2.
What is with Razbuten and Zelda 2?
You called it lmao
I was almost certain that it was a joke, but I had to Google to confirm that Kenneth was not actually his first name lol.
Would be a great fit though. It should convey some kind of grandeur, but it's so anachronistic that it's just goofy.
I think his name is
King krokodile rool or something close by if you think about the dc1 game fake ending credit.
@@Blueniter King K(rusha) Rool.
So that's where one piece got the whole D thing from
According to Steve Mayles, there is a nonzero chance it could be.
King K Rool as a Glam Metal Rockstar.
That is all
Okay that's actually really good
King K Rock
Uhm, yes Id like to take YOUR ENTIRE STOCK, talking sock.
You haven't been thinking about any robotic animals lately, have you?
@@Falkuzrules just excitebots, baby
K Rool in space would be the ultimate conclusion
Kosmonaut k rool could be like kaptain k rool with a jetpack so he flies like in dkc3
I want to see king k. rool as a samurai or something that would be hilarious
Imagine the music
Kabuki, or sumo K. Rool would be a perfect fit for his body type.
I think they should have King K. Rool be Zelda 2 in the next game.
Snoman would you just play this man's recommendation already? I want to see a new top comment for once. Make a review its a good game
I, too, wonder what Snoman thinks of the best sidescrolling Zelda game
When the video that is inspired by you finally comes to pass you better be mentioned
If zelda 2 is so good, why isn't there a zelda 3? Checkmate liberals
I mean King K Rool, isn’t dead, he just got trapped inside that massive bird egg at the end of 3.
I will never take my eyes off K. Rool, one of the most fun characters to play and win with in Ultimate in my eyes.
He should come back as a Ringmaster.
Think about it.
His tricks, traps, confounding techniques, and otherwise treacherous tribulations fit perfectly for an evil ringmaster role.
Karnival K. Rool
King K Rool successfully kidnapped Donkey Kong & Diddy Kong twice
I wouldn’t call him an ineffectual buffoon who barely succeeds
Hear me out guys...
What if we give K. Rool a Gundam?
Here’s an idea: bring Queen K. Rool in. Like, legitimately. And make Candy Kong a playable character. Have a couples showdown!
Must be the last world"
But when I entered the world, I wasn't brought to a level select screen, but just entered a level.
I thought "Oh, this must be the last level already"
Then I went along, expecting a normal, difficult level, but then, K.
"why does he want bananas, he's a crocodile". I've been asking that exact question for dozens of years now.
To rasom for the crystal coconut, At least in the cartoon.
Probably to starve DK so he can take DK island for himself.
One of the most underrated final bosses. In the DKC trilogy, K.Rool was both menacing, crazy, and comedic.
You know if king k rool did return in donkey kong country returns and tropical freeze I bet he be dressed as a spooky voodoo witch doctor and a viking warlord.
I wonder why Retro Studios passed on using K. Rool for Returns.
Probably wanted to try something new, I'm still hoping for that third retro studios game to include the King somehow.
They said themselves that they just didn't want to. They wanted to make their own thing instead, which I think is comprehensible and helps separating the old games from the new ones, but honestly neither Lord Fredrik nor that weird ancient god thing from Returns get close to his charisma, if someday there is a DKC Returns 3 (which I'm not sure at this point tbh) I hope they bring him back
@@phari4820 Oh understandable
I thought the rights for the kremlins belong to rare and that's the reason why there are no kremlins in dkc returns
@@davidrummeney7598 actually no, if that was the case they would be allowed to use Diddy King since he and the whole DKC cast are Rare creations. They just wanted to make something new
I feel bad for the king, if he defeated DK he could probably give up evil & spend time with his wife, but as long as there’s the Kongs he’ll always come back
yeah, the Kongs are the true evil.
Perhaps that's what he's been up to in the later games and we'll soon fight Wif. E. Rool
this video stumbled into my recommended and I am so glad the YT algorithm brought me here.
Imagine if K. Rool took a Bowser identity next time and we had a Mario and Donkey Kong mash up.
That lizard has one of the best theme ever. Gank Plank Galleon is a pure masterpiece.
King K Rool will return in DKC6 I am pretty confident about that.
I love King.K.Rool he needs to come back! Great video by the way 🙂
Medieval Times King K Rool. The Black Knight would be dope
Only if dk can ride yoshi
Maybe an astronaut would be cool. He could use rockets and asteroids as attacks. Plus there would be anti-gravity in the fight
It could be like Rango in a way
I have one idea for a new theme, make it about superheroes, where he at first takes the role of a generic superhero, your typical parody of superman, and finish it with actual supervillain aesthetics, you know, the purple or red clothes, a giant robot, his minions holding futuristic but useless weapons, clouds of mysterious substances that does everything except for killing you (age-changing gas, size-changing gas, species-changing gas, you get it), maybe giving the stage some diverse comic book aesthetics from both manga and comics, both old and new, with thematic levels that changes the whole aesthetic of the level.
With musical levels like in Rayman Legends but with the DK style.
maybe a astronaut
because everytime they make him higher in some way DKC 1: king: he rules over his race, DKC 2: pirate captain: same thing but with more skill, DKC 3:scientist: his intelligens is higher, DKC 64: bokser: he is a champion in a very valiont sport (sorry i don't know how to spell that word in english)
True final video for Donkey Kong month,Ranking every episode of the dkc tv show or the songs of the show
I’d love to see a space-themed DKC game next. Each world is a different planet and at the end you face off against alien K. Rool in a space station.
K. Rool the kidd would be cool
Personally id like to see K.
@@boygame1955
Just a couple thoughts paraphrased from DK Vine podcasts:
A Greek god
He uses machines to use elements and has minions like hydra, harpy, krakens, etc.
It's perfect, this my Kremlings is our new home!"
And whoosh he breaks his chains, the Kremlings have broken out and have taken over the island.
King K. Rool would have something like a Count of Monte Cristo identity ... maybe
(the title Count bites a little with its king title, I know... or another suitable prison identity, maybe like the boss from the movie No Escape. But actually I like Monte Cristo ...)
The Kremlings could wear black and white striped or orange prison clothes.
There could be a cemetery / ghost world in which there would be a reunion with Neckys (maybe they wear as vultures, which they are, maybe the mask of a hangman / executioner or something)
And of course there would also be an ice world with a boss we know very well who wears an IRON MASK!?! Why the iron mask? Now King K. Roll only accepts ONE King on his new island! And that's himself.
I also think that with this prison theme in mind, David Wise could create a breathtaking soundtrack for a DKC that could overshadow everything that has come before. Dark, mysterious and powerful.
So Nintendo, I gave you the tools and the marble, now make a David out of it (or better: let Retro do it!)
And damn it, give us the zingers back!
Said this before and will continue to till the day I die. Hail to the King of the Kremlings!
Personally, I'm the kind of guy who wants to see King K. Rool be a villain for a Wario game, to prove that there's nothing too strange about the Mario universe. Not to mention, they could make interesting rivals.
I wanna see K rool in a big city setting at the nefarious business man, Kapital K Rool. He plans to tear down the jungle to make a huge outlet mall.
Rool.
6:37 It was, in DKC1 you can't hit his belly because of the armor
Prehistoric theme and dr. Paleontologist k rool and dino Kremlings!
One of my favorite UA-cam channels
For extra weirdness, the game could be Roman theme or something and when you finally get to the guy he's in the old west persona.
But what if it's all his personalities? Like as separate people? Some mcguffin (magic mirror/potion of horrific separation) splits him into past versions of himself and the end showdown they all fight you at once?
maybe a movie director/game develepor it would trow of everyone with a twist villain as we find out or something
I have been thinking for a boss design for King k rool and i think i got it. Introducing
GUCCI K ROOLIN!
it's perfect
Honestly, I've always said that K. Rool should be EVERY boss (or every other boss) for the next DKC so they can just keep costume swapping, ENDING on a 3 phase fight that's him going to his "greatest hits" but remixed or even combined (Wearing the backpack, pirate suit, boxing belt AND crown and cape? Horrifying.)
THAT'S a great idea - it'd be like the opposite of Bowser, instead of a minion just acting like him and the princess is in another castle, he just keeps coming back to fight some more. I love it
mad scientist? mad king? mad pirate?! its time to get witj tje times...mad militar man...or mad president
K.Rool as the Godfather of a Kremling Mafia would be incredible !
Rip dk month 2014-2021 😭😭😭
So sad honestly
RIP
As someone who can't get enough of meta fourth-wall elements like the Kredits, I want to see K. Rool take on a game dev persona
1:08 I wonder how many impressionable, young DK fans now believe that the K in King K Rool's name stands for Kenneth
Can't get Zoo Keeper K. Rool out of my head now
K. Rool looks a lot like Wart from Super Mario Bros 2
he looks just like king koopa from the mario cartoon tbh
Astronaut k.rool may match, i mean...
...They sent only monkeys in space before the man?🎺🐊
Instead of just one new gimmick, give him all of them.
