- The 2014 Richard Tucker Award winner, tenor Michael Fabiano and soprano Joyce El-Khoury perform Manon and Des Grieux’s St. Sulpice duet, Toi! Vous!...N’est ce plus ma main?, from Massenet’s Manon, at the 2014 Richard Tucker Gala concert in Avery Fisher Hall, Sunday, October 12th.
One of the most beautiful and moving moment of French opera, splendid duo , Joyce El Khoury stunning and Fabiano as Des Grieux, excellent prononciation of French.Bravo🤲🙌🔥👏
Mon dieu..... this is a wonderful performance!! Both are ELECTRIC and absolutely world class! As for the end.....lucky Mr Fabiano!!
Indeed, an eye popping performance. Lovely singing too. He ain't going to join no priesthood now surely.
True love in character and in life. Beautiful.
The scenic commitment of Fabiano is great🔥👏🙌
Really wonderful! Michael actually sounds much better in the theater than he does in these clips.
Yes, me most certainly does!! Heard him as Don Jose in Carmen at Santa Fe. He almost blew the roof off that place!!
This is why I'm going to finally see him live in Trovatore this season at the Met
When are the major recording labels going to wake-up and engage Fabiano - one of the most talented tenors on the opera scene today?
No one makes money from classical music albums. It's a miracle that any get made at all.

Wow! I wasn't enrolled until she turned on the power, and the pianissimo! And he's so lustily Italian. Sings well, too
He's American. Good though
At least if she loses an earring she'll know where to find it.
Awesome! A pleasure to watch! Superb voices :-)
Amazing
superbe
Lindo dueto; excelente cantores; belas vozes!
Lotta kissin' at the end there.
Quite apart from the fact that Fabiano is, to my ear and eyes, by far the most important tenor today - just look what he does at 2.33 - instinctive, natural gesture - drawn from the drama AND the music - utterly natural, dramatic intensity conveyed with the simplest and yet most powerful gesture. Then again his reaction to her touch at 3.55-3.57 and then, as she continues through the tiniest head and eye movement how he conveys his inner struggle. This is the power of Opera done right.
Awesome!
Très bel opéra très émouvant... Voix vibrantes...
Fantastique !
Impactant ! Bravi !
WOW!!! FANTASTIC
Utterly gorgeous
Que hace esta mujer cantando Manon, se nota nunca ha escuchado a Sills o De Los Anggales.
Beautiful voices , lovely singing , I suspect that the huge applause at then end was for the passionate kissing .
WOW !!!
Espectacular interpretación.!!!
Bravi!!!!
A wobble at 2:57 Caution is advised because she has a grasp on the technique that could be ruined by pushing fortes.
It’s not a wobble. I think it’s within the normal range of her voice, which is not the most attractive timbre to begin with. In a wobble, the vibrato slows to an uncomfortable degree.
BRAVI!
Magnifique voix ces un cadeau de dieu dommage que la cantatrice est pas plus habiller
Podrán cantar bien pero si no trsmiten nada no funciona. Y no necesito saber de opera o de canto para sentir.
Manon should not sound like an old woman, she is a young innocent girl. Voice is terrible: nasal sound, pinched top notes, poor legato, unsteady singing! Still a lot to learn and certainly not ready for a lyric career (despite musicality and a lovely figure). Tenor is far better: passionate singing! Don't want to be rude behind computer, but let's be honest here!!!
operabilia so much nasal sound indeed, from both I would say! A little chest voice would not be a harm, instead they can deliver more passionate low and high notes!
