Purge purge purge. I can't emphasize that enough. We've moved a lot over the years and it is so liberating.

Omg, your advice about doing the dishes brought me back. When I was a kid, my mom always said that the best way to keep a teenager out of hot water is to put dishes in it. Referencing them doing more to help, equals less time to find trouble! Haha

Maybe you should build an above ground basement to set your mobile home on as a foundation. It would almost double your living space for your family.

Purge before you move! Ruthlessly if possible. What to keep, what to give away/donate and what to trash. You will feel much more free. I quarterly purge as well. I came from a mini hoarder upcoming because they had nothing during the Depression. I’m by no means minimalist but I don’t keep anything unless it serves a purpose or brings me joy.

Thank you for sharing!! I see too many videos of the highlights and it makes me feel so down about my own life that’s messy at times. I truly appreciate you sharing all your real life stuff, because it looks just like mine. It blessed my heart right when I needed it! 💜

You can purchase stamps online to be mailed to you, no need to go to post office. Also, Walmart used to sell them at the checkouts.

The shelters do not keep your item from exposure to eliminates, we had problems with mold as well as, critters and bugs. A high wind event collapsed one part of shelter, afterwards each time we had wind it collapsed. IMO, not worth the price, time to assemble and maintain. My solution was declutter, then rented storage unit until we could build a outbuilding. We no longer keep items we are replacing, we either sell, donate, or trash immediately, this is keeping our build clean and organized and my anxiety at a minimum, lol. Jessica, I have learned that my self inflicted anxiety causing me to accomplish less , take everything a minute at a time, it will all work out.

If I can't find a home for something, I get rid of it. Life has been so much more simple since I have decluttered our home.

Keep the storage unit for awhile and just bring a few boxes (maybe 10) to the new home at time to sort.
I agree with Nathan. The tent will blow away the first chance it gets.

I am moving from Missouri to North Dakota and purging alot! I did get a storage unit temporarily, I agree with some your other followers, simplify your life, stuff! You will have that beautiful land and gardens to enjoy. If something gives you true joy keep it, otherwise give away to someone for their enjoyment. It is so much easier to organize with fewer items. Keeping you in my prayers!

I used a harbor frieght portable garage for 3 years in the harsh texas climate. Snow, wind, hail, and downpours. For 250.00 it was well worth it and now the top is ripped so I'm going to use the frame to build something more solid. It's 10x20 feet.

I have had to purge items when we were doing a house remodel project. I thought I did really good. Now several years later I need to get rid of more. Had to get honest with myself, if I hadn’t used it, probably will not use it. My downfall is I have emotional attachment to items.

Working around teenage s schedules (especially work) is a challenge. Our 17 year old can't drive due to vision issues but we don't want him to feel punished so we try to let him do anything we would let him if he could drive. Mostly it's just work but it is still a lot. And our 15 year old just got a job so all the momma balancing. In a town with very very limited public transportation. But grateful for hand working kiddos!

When it comes to the company you purchased your home from, is there anything in the contact on a timefame when EVERYTHING would be completed and ready to move in. It just seems unfair. Literally, what if you guys were homeless? Why can't things progress faster 😫
