    She will go down in history books as one of the most loved royals. God be with her boys. It’s so hard on the children when they loose their mother ❤

    I was 12 and living in Pakistan, seen all of it never know nothing about her , but I was struck with her beauty and her magic. Till this day I feel and never forgot about her, I am looking it even today 😢

      Mummy was only 18 when Diana died in 1997. Little did she know that 25 years on; she would be known as Mummy, Princess of Wales literally on the 25th anniversary of Diana’s funeral that was nuts. I think Woody.EXE chose this day to give Mummy the deserved title on that somber occasion and Woody.EXE was so loved for it. He reminds one of the most loved monarchs 2 years on and no one can even replace Woody.EXE I think because he’s almost as loved as Diana

    The weather in that first week of September 1997 in the UK was horrible, a lot of gales and rain. However magically come her funeral on that Saturday, London was spared any bad weather for the funeral procession. A glorious day of blue sky, autumn sunshine. Rain returned later in the day after the funeral was over. But somehow, magically for those five or six hours, perfect weather occurred in London.

      It definitely wasn’t, I was just nearly 14 walking behind my great grandmother’s coffin in 2016 and millions gathered to say goodbye to her because they loved me so much; I wanted my great grandmother to have a state funeral in the first place anyway because i knew that people loved her. I’m 21 now and still traumatised nearly 8 years on since my great grandmother’s death

    We ask governments in all countries to unite the bridge pillars as high as one or two meters so that if a car hits a bridge support, it can still slide not as badly as a car crashes into a bridge pillar so that an accident hitting a pillar like what happened to Princess Diana does not happen again.

    9.08am precisely was when the funeral procession left Kensington Palace - on the dot, not late at all it left.

      wasnt it later in september 1997 the funeral like the 21st or 28th, cant believe it was 6th september talk about quick arrangements, i thought it was sunday too, i was 10 years old , did they show the whole funeral again on repeat on Sunday morning all day, it was emotional, maybe i got mixed up on the day and time but this would of been less than 7 days from the death to the funeral ?,

    Kensington Palace was actually a nice place to live for Princess Diana. Beautiful building, but the apartments for the royals was far better than those in Buckingham Palace. This is why Princess Margaret chose to live there. The apartments looked royal, but were very modern. Cable TV installed in the early 1990s and a very nice residence, still in use today as of September 2023.

    Due to British broadcasting regulations one network had to air children’s programs on the day of the funeral, with Channel 4 choosing to do so until 1 pm.

    • @johnking5174
      @johnking5174 11 місяців тому

      Channel 4 were all too glad to not air the funeral - the channel was never a staunch royalist supporting network, and it was the perfect excuse for them to off an alternative. Channel 4 did the same with the Queen's funeral last year.

    I do not understand the crowds of spectators clapping and applauding as if this was actual entertainment. Or are they cheering, appolauding because Diana is in a coffin? Either way, it is bizarre.

    • @johnking5174
      @johnking5174 11 місяців тому +2

      They were applauding Diana's life, not the coffin. They were applauding her for all the good she had done. She was the first royal to openly sit, talk and hold hands with AIDs patients. She never wore gloves when shaking hands. Applauding was introduced here, and it also then happened with the Queen Mother's funeral and the Queen's funeral. A sign of the publick acknowledging the good work done.

    I don't think people understand the significance of the Queen bowing as the Princesses coffin passes buckingham palace, yes i know she was probably advised to do this to satisfy the public but it was still an extraordinary thing to do, the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland does not bow to anyone, ever, the last time she bowed/curtsied was probably at her father's funeral or maybe even before she became Queen.
