When they keep this quality, the mad fans should become less and less, but if they dare to even think of separating Caskett again, things should become even worse, because the forbearingness of the fans is not endless and has its limits, which would mean even more fans turning off Castle as it already is.

There is something rather offputting about this scene. Usually you can count on Stana to deliver on Kate's emotional scenes but here she seems rather off in the delivery. For all of Beckett's words, I didn't actually feel that she was sorry. It also annoyed me that she basically arrived with the assumption that Castle would take her back without any issue. The "don't make me do this without you" line was completely unearned. Instead of the misplaced playful sexy talk, they should have ended on a more somber note where Castle agrees to work together but there is at least the impression left that they still have some trust issues to deal with.
i totally agree with you, this scene was not well written and was not perfectly played. why does stana wait 2 o 3 seconds before smiling or be happy when castle agrees to take her back? if i were in beckett, standing in front of my husband who tells me that he is not sure to forgive me, i would be devastated... and then when finally realizing he forgives me, i would be tremendously relieved and super happy... she is also kind of surprised to be kissed by castle... i think too that writers should have left the sex talk for other moments... i am sorry, i love this show but i think writers did not make the characters evolve, judt going back to old arcs, maybe because they do not know how to write funny and interesting scenes with happy couples. and, in my opinion, at the end of the day everybody (writers, showrunners, stana and nathan) talk about art and story to tell, but i think this season so far has been just about to rise the ratings, like for example the crazy idea (now over) to restart after 3 months of winter hiatus...

there was to much missing Rick should have made more points such as she dumped him over a case and to work with a total stranger. I think they screwed up because she would not keep him in the dark. he is the reason she has closure in her mom's case and he is the reason she is alive.
A lot of comments seem to be discussing how this wasn't well written, Beckett wasn't sincere enough, Castle forgave her too easily. I agree. Sure, maybe the writers didn't have enough money or time to make it better, but still. Season 4, when Castle did something similar, there was way more drama, as there should be. Castle was way more emotional, the tone was more dark and overall quiet and perfect for the moment. Meanwhile, this changes too fast. In any relationship, I can guarantee that these kinds of things don't just get resolved in one night. Castle should have been a bit distant or something for a while.

The problem I have with this scene is not even that he forgave her so easy. No, it is the fact that she came there expecting that Castle would just take her back without question. I am sorry but how selfish can you be. Could Beckett not have realised that he would not take her back so easy. She just came in there practically saying, hey here I am, I am back now, let's move on, the tone in her voice made me think she was actually mad at Castle that he did not take her back so easy. And this whole storyline just keeps getting more idiotic by the episode. In the beginning I thought she did this because she didn't want him to start investigating this thing as well, and thereforen keeping him safe. Now it turns out, that she left him because she thought that when Locksat would find out she was investigating him, he would leave Castle alone. Haha how stupid can you be. Like Locksat will not go after Castle, just because they are not living together, but are still married. And now they will be investigating this together, but will act as if they are not together anymore. So they think that Locksat will not go after Castle, because they are not together anymore? Locksat is no an idiot, he knows what Castle means to her and he will still go after her. So this whole storyline of them being not together before, and now being together, but letting other people believe they are not together, is an idiotic storyline.

My first thought after seeing this ending was "Alright now season 8 can finally start!" Then it was "crap now we have to wait until February for the rest of it."Now I understand though why some people are unhappy with this ending because Castle did seem to forgive her really easily maybe too easily. But then I remembered something Castle said to Alexis back in season 4 when she got accepted to Stanford after applying a second time. It was something like "do you want something bad enough to forgive the hurt from before" (I know that isn't an exact quote but I don't have the time to find look it up right now.)Another reason that I think people are upset about this entire storyline up to this point is that it is basically a rehash of season 4. Kate pushes/lies to Castle to keep him at distance until she is "fixed" enough for him or figures out her mother's murderer (or Bracken's partner in this season before she's ready) And of course that line "I didn't realize how much I needed you until this happened." Really?! After all this time you didn't realize how much you needed your husband/partner? Ok?And another thing that I hope they do when they come back from hiatus is to tell their families (including Lanie, Espo and Ryan) that they are pretending to be split up and they aren't fighting. Because then that will be just another rehash of early season 5 trying to keep their new relationship a secret. And please don't do a sitcom type of scenario where Kate and Castle are pretending to argue and then one of them accidentally actually says something that hurts/offends the other person.What I'm getting at is for the writers of Castle to please stop going in circles with rehashes of "will they won't they" when it comes to Castle and Kate. We all know by now that they will and have just follow the character arcs that your predecessors have already established and move on to the next steps of their relationship. You're not going to bring in any new viewers with this and you're only going to tick off your remaining fan base. Just a couple of examples of how things you could do. Kate does get pregnant and now she has to struggle with the fact that for the time being she won't be the "boots on the ground" detective/captain she is used to being. Watch how Castle will have to adjust to the idea of being a stay at home Dad again at 40+ years of age. He's going to be taking his a grandchild and his own child to the same school because they are in the same grade.
Could it be possible that he has a little bit of doubt after everything? I get that they are married and in love and all that, so it may give him a little bit more faith, but it feels too easy that she just came back like that.

Well, this is the usual Beckett's unconditional surrender. When she comes to her senses, and realize that she about to lose Castle, this is what she does. Remember end episodes from seasons 2 to 5? that's what she does. No wonder Beckett tries this here too. And Castle was so eager to get her back and protect her by any means necessary, that he accepted instantly what Beckett said, regardless of what second-thoughts he may have had about her lying, betraying, and such.

there was to much missing Rick should have made more points such as she dumped him over a case and to work with a total stranger. I think they screwed up because she would not keep him in the dark. he is the reason she has closure in her mom's case and he is the reason she is alive.

A lot of comments seem to be discussing how this wasn't well written, Beckett wasn't sincere enough, Castle forgave her too easily. I agree. Sure, maybe the writers didn't have enough money or time to make it better, but still. Season 4, when Castle did something similar, there was way more drama, as there should be. Castle was way more emotional, the tone was more dark and overall quiet and perfect for the moment. Meanwhile, this changes too fast. In any relationship, I can guarantee that these kinds of things don't just get resolved in one night. Castle should have been a bit distant or something for a while.

The problem I have with this scene is not even that he forgave her so easy. No, it is the fact that she came there expecting that Castle would just take her back without question. I am sorry but how selfish can you be. Could Beckett not have realised that he would not take her back so easy. She just came in there practically saying, hey here I am, I am back now, let's move on, the tone in her voice made me think she was actually mad at Castle that he did not take her back so easy.
And this whole storyline just keeps getting more idiotic by the episode. In the beginning I thought she did this because she didn't want him to start investigating this thing as well, and thereforen keeping him safe. Now it turns out, that she left him because she thought that when Locksat would find out she was investigating him, he would leave Castle alone. Haha how stupid can you be. Like Locksat will not go after Castle, just because they are not living together, but are still married. And now they will be investigating this together, but will act as if they are not together anymore. So they think that Locksat will not go after Castle, because they are not together anymore? Locksat is no an idiot, he knows what Castle means to her and he will still go after her. So this whole storyline of them being not together before, and now being together, but letting other people believe they are not together, is an idiotic storyline.

My first thought after seeing this ending was "Alright now season 8 can finally start!" Then it was "crap now we have to wait until February for the rest of it."Now I understand though why some people are unhappy with this ending because Castle did seem to forgive her really easily maybe too easily. But then I remembered something Castle said to Alexis back in season 4 when she got accepted to Stanford after applying a second time. It was something like "do you want something bad enough to forgive the hurt from before" (I know that isn't an exact quote but I don't have the time to find look it up right now.)Another reason that I think people are upset about this entire storyline up to this point is that it is basically a rehash of season 4. Kate pushes/lies to Castle to keep him at distance until she is "fixed" enough for him or figures out her mother's murderer (or Bracken's partner in this season before she's ready) And of course that line "I didn't realize how much I needed you until this happened." Really?! After all this time you didn't realize how much you needed your husband/partner? Ok?And another thing that I hope they do when they come back from hiatus is to tell their families (including Lanie, Espo and Ryan) that they are pretending to be split up and they aren't fighting. Because then that will be just another rehash of early season 5 trying to keep their new relationship a secret. And please don't do a sitcom type of scenario where Kate and Castle are pretending to argue and then one of them accidentally actually says something that hurts/offends the other person.What I'm getting at is for the writers of Castle to please stop going in circles with rehashes of "will they won't they" when it comes to Castle and Kate. We all know by now that they will and have just follow the character arcs that your predecessors have already established and move on to the next steps of their relationship. You're not going to bring in any new viewers with this and you're only going to tick off your remaining fan base. Just a couple of examples of how things you could do. Kate does get pregnant and now she has to struggle with the fact that for the time being she won't be the "boots on the ground" detective/captain she is used to being. Watch how Castle will have to adjust to the idea of being a stay at home Dad again at 40+ years of age. He's going to be taking his a grandchild and his own child to the same school because they are in the same grade.
Could it be possible that he has a little bit of doubt after everything? I get that they are married and in love and all that, so it may give him a little bit more faith, but it feels too easy that she just came back like that.
the reason fans are unhappy with this is because how quickly castle forgave Beckett. im glad he did because that is how a heathy relationship works. castle was able to put Beckett in her place with out being overly dramatic which would eventually kill the relationship. I kind was hoping for them to get back together in a scene with castle mad at Beckett like the ending of season 4 when Beckett lied about hearing castle saying I love you. then Beckett would apologize like she did right after she almost died from being thrown off the roof.

I always feel he forgives her way easier than she does. I just have the feeling that Beckett now thinks that she can do whatever she want, because at the end Castle will always forgive her.

When Kate does Castle wrong like flaunting Demming in his face and dismissing him as her partner and diminishing what Castle does compared to what Josh does they didn't talk about it and the writers swept it under the rug. The reason Kate broke up with Sorenson the writers had Castle propose. Kate lying to Castle for a year and ignoring him for months are barely addressed and swept under the rug. kate always gets more leeway when she does wrong vs when castle does it

I have watched these Castle and Beckett scenes again and again and each time it feels more and more unbelievable that the actors Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic couldn't get along on the set! 😖 I have started thinking that maybe it was completely the opposite and they really had something going on between them (romantically, I mean), and the "not get along" - thing was just some kind of, a cover yo keep the press at bay.. I mean, think about the "Ryan and Esposito partner feud and couple therapy" - storyline...🤨
I know that Stana Katic was married at that time (still is!), but if you work with someone so closely for many years, well things can happen! I think that Castle is one of my favorite TV-series ever, allthough I was disappointed of how the ending was executed... 😢 I'd wanted to see Beckett pregnant and him and Castle having little babies of their own.

Remember end episodes from seasons 2 to 5? that's what she does. No wonder Beckett tries this here too. And Castle was so eager to get her back and protect her by any means necessary, that he accepted instantly what Beckett said, regardless of what second-thoughts he may have had about her lying, betraying, and such.
Let’s all be honest. The show should have ended after season 7. If they weren’t gonna give the fans a pregnancy arc they should have just done a HAPPY FF at the end of 7.
