I was into Castle myself for a while, it's not a bad show when seen on its own, it was funny and touched on cute at times and I saw the whole series more than once. But you are right, it did get overshowed by the greatness of Bones. Also as I have said before, for countless reasons, like it being on before and after Castle. So many things Castle did, Bones had already done seasons before. According to everything I have read, the two Castle actors, Stana and Nathan, couldn't get along, didn't like each other and just didn't have that spark. Something evident the entire series, and most of, if not all, the reason the final season was so bad. I read that Stana and Nathan were forced into a version of couple's therapy just to do their last season. Whereas on Bones, Brennan and Booth seeing Dr. Sweets was a staple of their show. I also read hat Stana was not asked to come back for a season 9, and the only reason they did a somewhat forced season 8 was because it was the same year, (maybe one after or before) that they killed off a main lead on Grey's Anatomy, which is on the same network, and the said network didn't want to take too big of a hit. Something else I read in more than one place, Nathan and David Boreanaz (Booth, of course) were fresh off other hit shows and Castle and Bones took them right in. Emily Deschanel (Dr. Bones Brennan) and David had one trial run and hit it right off, cancelling out the other actress they had slotted. Whereas Castle went through over 100 actresses before landing Stana. Castle and Bones were both very big shows in their time, awards and interviews and fans and all that. People liked one better than the other and I can see why people liked Castle so well, while being grossed out by the graphic bodies on Bones. But, as you might say about Castle, I still watch Bones every night.
Because he's a man and she used to be his ideal when he was younger. It's not even sexual anymore. I honestly don't expect you to understand, but his wife did.
Doesn't anyone else find it weird that Beckett calls the man she loves by his surname and not his first? Nobody in the real world would do that. I really liked the show, but this was something that always bugged me and I can't be the only one.
Ever watch Bones? It was always Booth and Bones they called each other that. That's one of the things that made Bones so good. What I fine weird, and a little funny, is how much Castle attempted to be like Bones.
this type of romance and playfulness is what they need to get back to.
