2007-2012 was a special time in F1, where the field was so competitive and almost every season was decided in the final race.
2009 not so much, at least the first half of 2009 that brawn won almost every race and also 2011 rb and vettel really dominant (not comparable to merc dominance but still very dominant)
Hopefully 2022 will bring back that intensity

Technically there was 4, Lewis had a outside chance to win

This is because of the point system. Someone with 2 wins has 50 points, back then it was 10 for the win. More difficult to get a lot of points

Lol so because one driver held up (a guy he was racing against anyway) Aden should thank him, no that is called racing. He held him up because he was also defending his own position in p6. Not because seb was going to win. That is what racing is all about, you got to defend when you need too, just as much as overtake when the opportunity presents it self, Alonso was just unable to catch up with him and get by. If I was in p6 and defending my spot, against anyone, I would defend it rightfully so. Every point matters to every individual and team.
Renault powered RB and Renault factory car. They share the same interest somehow. Any win or any point gained is beneficial.

I think Petrov was the greatest Vettel fanboy in the history of the world.
Renault was the engine supplier for Red Bull back then, understandable that they had an interest in Vettel winning the WDC
Alonso is just unreasonable, just imagine Bottas blaming Ricciardo for losing the championship, it would be hilarious, if you can't overtake then blame yourself, not the other driver who had the right to defend his position.

In terms of actual racing this race wasn't much cop at all, but in terms of the championship it was a real nail biter, and Petrov drove the race of his life

Schumacher said that he was disappointed that Ferrari didn't allow him to drive for them again. He was really keen to get back to the team in 2010. And he believe he should be cleared to race in 2009. So there is some payback time there from Schumacher

That’s because Webber pitted the lap before - He needed to stay ahead of Webber to keep the championship in his hands. People forget that Webber was Alonso’s closest rival in the standings coming in to the final race.

Vettel’s championships are much more exciting than Hamilton’s! Sad that Ferrari couldn’t provide him with a car that could be reliable between 2015-2019 to win the world championships! He lost out because of reliability of the car over those 4 years!

the "du bist weltmeister" was so heartwarming he must have prepared that line for that moment
This has to be one of the two highlights of Vitaly Petrov's short F1 career, the other being the Australia 2011 podium. The guy was a solid midfield driver, talented and deserved more in F1. He came from a humble background as well.
And one of those rare times when Fernando Alonso's immense talent just didn't help him out. Abu Dhabi is already a difficult track to pass, but he tried his level best.

@@maxmuller4551 Vettel was faster every where compared to Webber, he proved he's worth it at Torro Rosso. The only times RBR have favoured him is when he made mistakes. When it comes to his performance every one knew if they couldn't get Vettel off the line they had lost the race. He was significantly quicker than Webber same thing is happening at RBR right now, Max is pushing the car to the limits and his teammates are far behind but no one says RBR is favouring Max even though the gap between Webber and Vettel was closer than Max and his teammates. You people have the best double standards
