I agree with you on Wuthering Heights, just way too dark. Jane Eyre is the best. If you wanted to read another Bronte Agnes Grey was a big surprise and has become a all time favorite. It's a short, quieter story but sweet and I loved Agnes as a character.

Wuthering Heights was my least favorite as well.
too many great books this year. It's ok if you didn't like Wuthering Heights, I didn't like Emma 🤫. I want to do better at reading my physical books.
