@@efficientway I have been able to stretch the lifespan of my work boots which I use for the Daily grind for construction. And I'm a big believer in buying cheap boots, so I buy them at Walmart; And Gorilla 🦍 Glue has been my friend as my money saver! I'm cheap!!!

Ordinary show repairer shop will not repair because the sole is not leather
So any good results with the Gorilla Glue clear grip? Should I also add some moisture at the time of the gluing like with this original yellow glue? I intend to glue back soles on my Running shoes and hard sole cycling shoes.
Unfortunately I can't speak to the Gorilla Glue clear grip as I don't have experience using it. I think it's very likely it too would require moisture/water to activate it as that is common theme with Gorilla Glue products. Hopefully one of the other viewers has some experience with Gorilla Glue clear grip and can advise you.

Correct, it does not expand. How you lay it out in terms of thickness, length, etc, is exactly how it will cure. If you "smoosh" the clear Gorilla Glue in between two objects, as we did here during the shoe repair, then obviously it will spread a bit relative to how you first laid it down. For that reason, don't over-apply the glue near the edges. Follow the exact steps (including the clamping/tying down) in the video and you'll be good to go.
Will it glue together the sole of MBT not leather but rubber soles
I wasn't familiar with MBT shoes and sneakers so I was surprised to see they sell for over $200 and read that your soles came apart! I would contact the company. Even if you used them, that's not supposed to happen, especially when you are paying that kind of money. Unfortunately I don't have experience gluing rubber like that, but if I had to guess, I think it will bond if you apply the Gorilla Glue correctly. However, as I am unclear exactly what two pieces you are gluing together and how much they will need to flex, I don't know how long it will last. Take some pictures before you try anything so you can send them to MBT upon request, and then give it a try (you can also try rubber cement).

I haven't worn them daily, but so far the Gorilla glue has held.
@@efficientway i can appreciate that but i used to go to a boot repair guy- when i was in the army, lot of wear, the boot failed before the glue failed- i have been trying to find his glue ever since - unfortunately, i don't remember the glue -

Won't work for long, that glue does not flex. I have however used Gorilla contact cement with excellent results.
Interesting re: Gorilla contact cement and good to know. Regarding this Gorilla Glue, it isn't clear that the bond between the leather and the sole is supposed to flex re: your statement above. The sole of the shoe does the flexing. When you take a step, the upper part of the leather (as opposed to the part that is attached to the sole) may also bend/flex just slightly, but that shouldn't disrupt the bond between the leather and the sole. Thank you for the additional info re: using Gorilla Cement.

Yep, you can often smell the glue when you walk in the shoe repair shop.
Silicone rubber is probably the best choice. Can also be used to fill those stupid "air" soles when the gas cells inevitably burst.

Can you be more specific? How exactly would this ruin shoes "in the long run"? Using Gorilla Glue has worked well for me.
