An H949 Harmonizer or similar can act as a stereo widener, with less of a chorus-type modulation. As can any delay unit with ping-pong functionality and low minimum delay times. BBD delays (such as Electro Harmonix Stereo Memory Man or the Audiority VertiVerb VST which I use a lot) are good for this due to their slight timing inaccuracies which add to the sense of width.
