I wonder if you can help me are Channel Strips only meant for non electronic music, as in do they have any use in making Electronic Music? As I only see channel strips getting used with live instruments and mics ect.
You can use channel strips on absolutely anything. Non electronic music is mainly featured as channel strips were popular when recording bands through large format consoles. There are no rules, use whatever you want!
Dude if anything one of my main gripes with a lot of EDM is that it sounds way too sterile and lacks interesting color and saturation. My favorite electronic is dirty, saturated and sometimes out right distorted on the master bus. There’s no rules for sure, but I love me some well saturated, hard hitting, dirty electronic music. I don’t own this specific plug-in but I use others like the API vision and Lindell 80 for electronic on like, every channel and have some nice tube distortions I like but I’m still tempted to grab this one too since it’s on sale and I love a nice tube sound.
