I have several Miroku made Winchesters they are absolutely fantastic lever actions extremely well made.
I use a 70’s Miroku. It’s apparently heavy by today’s standards. I personally love the feel and balance of it. It has some pretty nice hand engraving too
I have one mt grandpa left to me. I’ll never ever get ride of it. However, I do agree they are on the heavier side but I’m cool with it
Just acquired a Miroku MK 38 Sporter. Absolutely LOVE IT! Wish I had found one earlier in my shooting career.
I've wanted a MK11 so much but just can't justify it. I've got a grade 5 MK70 my Mrs said I should be grateful 😭
Grade V mk70 is my dream gun
You can get a miroku in the USA. It just say browning citori on it lol. Great guns!
Love my 38. Extra weight in the stock counters the heavier, non vented barrels and makes it handle nicer than a 525 for me.
Nice review, hopefully see you at the BSS.
The 11 is absolutely stunning
Hello Lloyd,
Well I am a resident here in the USA and hopefully in the very near future I will be receiving my NEW Miruko MK11 which I won in one of the contests furnished by TWEEDL in the UK. I am a neophyte to the Export/Import process and there is a lot of ‘red tape’ involved in the process as you can well imagine……looking forward to shooting this beauty in a round of Sporting Clays nearby!
Gracias
Lloyd we can't get these here in the states but I bet Dave Carrie has a few of these great shooting guns. Just wish to get my hands on one. Great tutorial plus I've been waiting for your post ing a new tutorial. Good day sir
Although not available here in USA, always good to get a look at whats out there, and how the design / options are applied.
Another well produced video.
thanks.
You can get them through British sporting arms in Millbrook NY
But you's have AR-15s lol
Recently purchased 1st gun, MK10 sporter, very happy with it.
Was looking at the Mk38 as a potential purchase once I am more efficient with my shooting.
Have a Miroku Mk10 HRT and I recommend it to anyone that asks.
Has taken me from an ok "c" grade DTL shooter to a "A" grade i 6 months.
Other than the trigger have to fully release and the recoil impulse being a bit sharp I love it. But saying all that I'd still take a Beretta X,Trap in a heart beat if I could afford one.
Hi Lloyd! I am beginner in hunting and shotguns. But I really like your Miroku reviews. But all I can see is sporting, trap, sporting... So I have a question... Which Miroku model is a proper game, field option in 12 gauge? Little bit lighter maybe? If you need to choose Miroku shotgun for hunting which would you choose? Like a best buy. Thank you in advance for your answer.
I have a 10 year old (this year) MK38 sporter bought as my forever gun. Well nothings forever, as I age I'm finding it increasingly heavy yet can't find a suitable replacement that fits me.
Great video again! Any chance you’ll have a look on the Maxus II in the future?
Sure, but I need to get hold of one first.
Great video as always! What's your opinion on the Perazzi MX5?
Never tested one I'm afraid.
I have miroku single 12g - is it any good?
Do they do a true left handed gun ! I’m in Ireland I have a b525 game and love it! I like the Mikoku and I have been looking for a nice gun for clays !
Browning have joined Krieghoff and Blaser in producing true lefties.
Hi its better a heavy cannons to Shooting pigeons?
Hi, i am completely new to clay shooting, im looking for my first gun, ive shot 5 or 6 different guns so far and the one that stood out against the rest was a miroku 3800 trap.
Ive been told that the 38 trap is almost identical, is this the case, and could i use a trap gun for sporting?
Thanks Danny
Yes, and yes. I like easy questions 😉
That's great, thanks 👍
Hi Lloyd, I see that they sell the same gun in Australia, mk38 grade 3, adjustable stock, inv+ etc, the only difference is that the engraving is almost non existent on the action, apart from that are they the same gun as here in the UK?
Thanks Danny
I can only assume, having never seen one, sorry man.
Too bad we only get brownings here in Canada and not the mirokus. The mk11 is a peice of art. Now correct me if I'm wrong none of the mirokus have a ventilated mid rib between the barrels do they? I ask cuz during the summer the ventilated ones get extremely hot during sporting I cant even imagine how hot these would get.
Depends on the countries climate they export too, in Aus we get vented mk38 and also the mk10, a more competition level sporter than a 38, palm swell, briley thin wall chokes and tapered dove tailed top rib
Not entirely sure but I have an MK70 and it has a ventilated rib. It does get hot in the summer here in UK but not enough to cause any issues. Remember though it's an over and under so not an auto or pump which would get hot with continuous rounds. All depends really how fast you can speed load pairs.
My mk 60 is printed mk 60 sporter on it so is it a game gun or sporter nevertheless it shoots sporting clays awesome
Ok I live in the USA and have a MK70 sporter where does that stand in the lineup?
Mk70 and mk38 sporter are basically identical.
@@lloydyp thank you it’s not easy getting information on them here in the States
I beg to differ, I shoot MK38 sporter and my son MK70 game. Huge difference, 1st is weight which affects handling, ribs are differant and a few other things also.
Not looking for an argument, just my observations.
Mk38 is also back bored and uses invector plus where as the 70 isn't and use invector chokes.
Mk38 has different stock dimensions, grip dimensions, barrel boring, adjustable trigger on newer ones, chokes, weight and balance is far different
Still love the MK11...
I have bought a K80🤭🤭
What's the specific reason their not sold in the USA...?
You will have to ask Browning.
The same reason winchester never wanted nikko sold there, big browning market and to have a gun made to a better standard for less money would smash their sales
Are you sure that MK11 side plate is based on b725 action !!!?
B15 is based on b725 but not an mk-11 i think .....
Yes, I'm sure.
Mk11 is a stunning gun ! A guy has one last week at my local ground. I had a go and it nice it very nice 👍
Gutted I missing the BSS this year
But I still there on there web page 😂
Please dear god can someone help me get a mk70 in Tennessee
Call Bywell, they can ship you one.
@@lloydyp thank you!
@@lloydyp I know it’s generally specific to who is shipping but do you have an estimate on how much the import process would cost
@@johnmullaney458 Sorry man you would need to call the guys at Bywell.
@@lloydyp no worries. I’m going to!
Am i weird in that I genuinely don't care what a gun looks like / what the wood is like?
For me if it handles well and I can hit things with it that's all that matters.
That’s not weird at all. You shoot whatever you want man.
