First two games were insane aggressive plays but 3rd was most impressive since they fell behind early but managed to keep their heads, make plays and claw their way back even the baron steal didn't tilt them.

Im always rooting for western teams as lck and lpl winning is getting stale. My biggest concern is we've yet to see any western hard carry tops match up against the Asian teams.
Don't know why you want to root for them and then be surprised when LCK or LPL Takes worlds or MSI. G2 seems impressive but the problem is, these regions are bad. LCS and LEC are just meh regions at best.
I really hope this G2 roster can further improve and evolve, the new format doesn't encourage bullshit scaling and afk farming for 40 minutes so I guess maybe in 2-3 years there will be more competitive teams from EU than G2

honestly, that's such a low quality finals with all the mistakes their opponents made and the drafts that looks like they pulled from a soloq. Nonetheless, it's true that they already have no competition in EU, hopefully they can carry that momentum in MSI and other international events
I remember in 2018-2020 when EU (FNC/G2) is competing w/ LCK and LPL, and they were talkin all kinds of shit. Now that their teams are gettin stomped at international events they're tryin to play the victim now lmao
Honestly 2022 G2 only had Caps and BB to carry (yes the BB with the nasty loss to fiora).
This time around they are more complete, everyone's able to carry. Their early game is super impressive closing most of their games pre 28minutes time.
If eastern teams continues to play safe scaling picks and avoid skirmishes early. G2 will dominate with their play style.

Against weaker teams, Nisqy is probably the best midlaner because he is so damn consistent at setting up his teammates. Against Caps, he is just mechanically gapped too hard.

@@cinderkick2525 Agree, which is why I personally think, while Mad has a better top matchup (as Chasy owned BB pretty hard, he might actually the best performing mid in playoffs), Koi has a better stylistic matchup into G2 as their mid and bot are better, imo.
Problem is, KOI have issues jungle and top and Yike can basically do what he wants in any game against Malrang, so I think if KOI had played finals, it also would have been a 3-0 or 3-1.
It's a shame they can't do well outside of Europe. RIP
