This week I'll show you how to give yourself a spa-quality Hydra Facial (also known as an Aqua Peel) at home using the new W Skin Aqua Facial Device. This handheld beauty device works by using Hydradermabrasion technology to gently exfoliate, extract pores, and hydrate your skin. I am loving this and I'm super excited to share it with all of you!

STEPS:
Steam Skin - Either in the shower or using an at-home steamer.
Use a Facial Scrub, like L'essentials Micro-Exfoliant.
Apply a Hydrating Toner, like L'essential Hydrating Essence.
Perform the Aqua Facial treatment. Rinse skin when finished.
Tone again
Finish with the rest of your regular skincare routine or add an additional treatment mask or facial device for a more luxurious treatment.

Contraindications (from W Skin):
Do not use if you...
have a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body.
- have poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes and thyroid conditions.
- have abnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes, systemic or other metabolic diseases.
- have a current history or condition of cancer, or pre-malignant moles.
- have had any surgery in the treated area within 3 months prior to treatment.
- suffer from epilepsy
- have a disease related to photosensitivity, such as porphyria,
polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria, or lupus, etc.
- are pregnant or nursing.
Do not treat areas that have:
- a permanent implant such as metal plates and screws, silicone implants, or areas with injected fills or toxins.
- active eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds, open infections (cold sores) or abnormal skin conditions caused by systemic or metabolic diseases (diabetes for example).
- traumatized or injured skin.
- had recent exposure to the sun without protection, or if you have
tanned or sunburnt skin.
Consult your physician if you have:
- couperose or rosacea.
- a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent herpes
simplex in the treatment area. If so, you may treat only following a
prophylactic regime.
- received radiation therapy or chemotherapy treatments within the
past 3 months, or have areas of potential skin malignancies.
- used steroids within 3 months prior to treatment.
- used physician-prescribed drugs on your skin within the past 6
months.
- any other condition which, in the opinion of your physician or
dermatologist, would make it unsafe for you to be treated.

I think I’ll look worse and worse in each video. We are so exhausted! I love Amos so much but oh my goodness this is hard. Nighttime crate is fine but during the day he hates it. I think it might be separation anxiety ☹️
It gets better it does take time just stay on routine with him it takes new puppies, dogs about 2 weeks to 2mnths to decompress and start feeling at home. Stay strong and in routine and he will be great ❤

Could you tell me how well the Zemits solution worked with this device? The description on Amazon said that Zemits clarity solution is a rich and thick consistency but the W Skin device said to only use liquid like consistency solutions. So my skin is super dry. At the end of the hydra facial treatment I looked dry not moist, is that normal? I made sure to moisture after, so I will see how my skin is tomorrow.
Hi! I would like to know from you or from people that bought this device years ago if they still find it worth the price and valuable. I’m thinking if it may be a good investment or not. Something I don’t like is the interchangeable filters that can only be bought from them. After years, are you still using it as part of your home routine and would you still honestly recommend it? thanks for all the information, I have bought couple of devices because you recommended them. I just have a question what is the difference between this Hydra Facial and the kinga? and do I need both of them for deep cleaning? thanks
The Kinga is can be helpful for exfoliation and extractions but you really need to prep the skin. Right now, I’m really liking the hydra facial for deeper cleansing/extractions. It’s more active of a treatment combining exfoliation, hydration, and suction.

I did have a professional hydra-facial last year and loved it. Would love to get this device if suitable for my skin color. Am of an Asian Indian origin with light brown color skin. I own an expensive dermabrasion device but stoped using it because it caused sensitivity and darker patches on my cheeks (later saw it in one of the Indian Dermatologist from UK that colored skin is the most sensitive skin).
May be a suggestion, for your upcoming videos if you could also include the suitability for all the skin colors when it comes to the great gadgets that you introduce to us and the solutions or serums specially,
Thank you so much for your comment! That’s a great suggestion. This is indeed safe for all Fitzpatrick types. But as with all exfoliation, make sure to apply sunscreen daily and avoid extended sun exposure post treatment 😊

Thank you! Thats so nice to hear ☺️ The three devices you've mentioned could be alternated and used on different days throughout the week, or you could use all three and do the following:
Cleanse, Tone, Aqua Facial device, rinse, Tone, TimeMaster Pro over gel (I like the Sculplla H2 Collagen Gel that usually comes with it), rinse, tone, micro needle, serum, moisture.
I found a study that proves Ultrasound, the modality used in the TimeMaster Pro, can penetrate products. Thus, I wonder if micro needling is necessary (I'm not a huge micro needling fan). Just a thought. Here's the study www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4725305/

How do you buy replacement aqua facial serum though? Once you run out of the serum they send you?

Hello there is a commercial for hydrafacial but with the brand of the Revive device, you have both brands or they are from the same company, in this video it is from W skin .... if you have both devices which is the best for you
Does anyone know if W Skin went out of business? My unit stopped working after 3 uses and I can't find this company anywhere online. Their website is gone. I have a question about charging it. I have the lid on the unit. I've tried charging it for about 30 hours and the green light is on the unit, but the little red dot remains. What does the combination of the 2 lights mean? Am I not charging it correctly because it's not turning on. Any suggestions and info is welcomed!

Oh my goodness, I have been putting off getting a hydra facial for decongesting my T-zone. Maybe you covered this and I missed it, but if I have a super sensitive skin and wanting to try it out, would it be OK to use purified water instead of the solution? I would not really want this for micro dermabrasion, it would be a congestion device for me.
Totally. But prep your skin prior with some sort of exfoliant and steam for best results. You need to soften the congestion prior to trying to extract. The tips are silicone so there is very little physical exfoliation happening which reduces sensitivity.

Hi!!! I just got my W skin aqua facial device and I’m very excited to add it to my skin care routine. Does it need to be charge for the first time for 24 hours before I use it? I put it to change and the light was green already so I need to charge it still for 24 hours? Thanks!!!
I contacted them about this very same issue & they told me 2-3 hours was sufficient for a charge. I'm guessing that the one light stays red even though the device is green or fully charged.

You should’ve have a problem but keep in mind everyone’s skin is different and some might be more sensitive than others.
HI! loved watching this video. I was thinking of getting the hydropeeling by zemits but saw that it was thick in consistency. Do you think this would work through this machine ok? Or would it be too thick? When I use this machine with the included solution that has the consistency of water it will stop and beep at me several times. I have to turn it off, and turn it back on. To be honest, it doesn't really do a good job of getitng my pores clean. It looks like they are STILL clogged and congested. I was hoping for a no pore look. I was thinking of buying the Zemits but afraid to spend nearly $70 and have that not unclog my pores either. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I am having the same issue with it beeping & turning off, I have contacted them with no real resolution. Kinda disappointed as well..
A number of us struggled with machines that would not work, even after "troubleshooting." I had to send them videos to illustrate the problem, which is tough to do while holding the unit and a camera! Ultimately I had to send mine back (they reimbursed me for shipping, but I had to front it and provide them with proof of purchase). I sent it back 10 days ago, still waiting for replacement.
Hi, I purchased this but for some reason, the siren keeps going off on me, and right now I have support trying to figure out why. I had to send them a video showing that I am filling it correctly and they wanted me to wipe the metal probes (which is odd because aren't they suppose to get wet). I think it's a defective unit. Wondering if anyone has experienced this issue?

this type of device is quite popular in Japan and Korea. They call it aqua peel :)

I have reached out to the company and they have not responded to several of my emails. I am alarmed that this is a scam! I would like to know if anyone else is having issues. I have reached out to AMEX to dispute the charges.
If I am prone to broken capillaries on my cheeks, is this something I should avoid?
I’m prone to broken capillaries too but my redness goes away quickly even though I’m sure it’s different for everybody. But on the manual it’s said it’s suitable for all skin type and colours and it’s pretty gentle! Hope it helps!

It’s always so hard to give definitive answers without seeing your skin. In most cases, I would just suggest skipping over areas with proven capillaries.

Hi Katie, I’m buying this on your recommendation 😊 i looked up the lactic acid solution you suggested. Is the Zemits solution supposed to be diluted with water or can I use it full strength?
Also, if I use LED light daily. Should this device be used before or after LED light therapy?
I used it full strength. Zemits was a bit disappointing in their response to my questions. Use LED after the Aqua Facial. Just make sure you’ve cleansed the solution from your skin first. 😉

I really don’t. I think it’s awesome for at home but I doubt it would hold up to multiple treatments a day.
I use Tre 5 days a week and Ordinary Peel once a week. Would it be too much to add this?
I think this can replace your ordinary Peel. It helps to exfoliate, extract and deep cleanse my face!! It works wonders on my ski n:)
Id try alternating one each week. Peel one week. Aqua Peel the next.

I ordered the W Skin Aqua Facial Device from your link. My credit card was charged on Jan. 3rd, still no shipping info and no tracking available. The phone number shown on their website is not a working number. I'm hoping it is not a scam.
It took a month if not more for mine to arrive 🙄 but the result is amazing and their customer service is quite nice, just shoot them an email
I'm so frustrated. Tried to use my brand new machine. Followed exactly what you said here and I was 1/2 way through my first cheek before it started beeping at me like crazy and flashing green. Some other people in a skincare group I belong to have had the same issues. I checked everything to make sure it was on correctly, and I held the tool as upright as I could. It will start up again for just a few seconds and then start shreiking at me. Does anyone have any experience with this and fixes that I might be unaware of? Nothing in troubleshooting about this.

@@svetlanasmithson1125 UGH, I worried about communication. I hate spending that much $$ on a product without a customer service phone #. The experience has been so disappointing. I didn't even tip the machine as much as she did here in the video, and several people in my online skincare group expressed the same issue.

@@svetlanasmithson1125 After three days I got a response that said this: "We have passed the email to our after-sales team and they suggested you to try to wipe the metal part in the discharge bottle clean and let it air dry before turning on the device again, also, please try to change the filter in the device.
The metal part in the device has to be dry to prevent as it is a detector and the device beeps when the metal is wet. This mechanism is to prevent the device being tilted too much and the solution flows back into the device and mix with the discharge. Moving the device too fast will also make the metal part wet so please do not move the device so fast while using.
We suggest you to change the filter because the device beeps when the filter is not inserted properly in the device too, so replacing it might help, kindly let us know if that works. Please be rest assured that we will try our best to help you.
In case the problem does not go away, can you kindly take a video of the status of the device when it has the mentioned problem, with the device cap removed, so we can have a better look?"
I found this response distressing, since the device was BRAND NEW and I hadn't used it for a full minute before it began the constant beeping and turning off. How am I supposed to keep the metal part in the discharge bottle from getting wet!?!? That's clearly a flaw in their design. Also, although doing this improved the issue somewhat (enough so that I could complete the facial, but still with constant starts and stops), but the unit never operated like Katy's did in this video. Also, I was supposed to change (and waste) a brand new filter because it may not have been "inserted properly" from the factory? I spent nearly $200 on the unit and product, it was so disappointing to get this response. There were at least 4-5 people with the same issue in Penn Smith's skincare group, too.
@@pamorama They copied & pasted that very same response to me. I took pictures of the faulty tubing & showed them how the posts easily got wet with hardly any tilt. They haven't responded to my email the past four days so I'm really starting to think that we were sold faulty devices. My device stops & starts every 30 seconds & is nothing like the device shown in the video. 🙁
Is this device recommended for mature skin?
It’s said in the manual that it’s suitable for all skin types! I do presume even for mature skin deep cleansing is needed :)
I think it really depends. I wouldn’t use this on fragile thin skin or over a lot of distended capillaries. But other than that, I think this is great for skin of all ages in need of deep cleansing.

@@TheOrganicEsthetician I was given a faulty device with no real resolution after a few emails. Looks like the tubing is leaking, the metal posts keep getting wet (when it is upright) & device chronically shuts off despite being fully charged. Really disappointed in this device after purchasing it with your review in mind.
What if all the filters already used? Should we buy new filters or we can actually wash the filters?
I think they are to be thrown away after use. I used mine for over 5 times though but it still works fine! Hope it helps :)

Once a week or every other. I do every other since I'm more sensitive. I even think it could get pushed to a monthly treatment for someone without a lot of congestion.
So you don’t recommend doing this on your neck?
I wouldn’t. The neck doesn’t tend to get congestion the same way the face does and the skin can be more sensitive.

great video but DONT BUY THE W SKIN DEVICE. !! youll pay for it but youll never get it and the W skin customer service people are not helpful - they just make excuses and repeat their NO REFUNDS if you wait more than 12 hours after placing the order. so sad! you make the device seem really great.
Please take this w skin aqua facial video tutorial down. This company has been sending out broken devices and essentially stole $209 from me. They have a fake customer support inbox where your email inquiry bounces back and fails to send.
