It's the same freakin truck as any of the other years. 🤦🏾♂️
Only reason 05-06 is more desireable is the e fan set up vs old school clutch fans.

I’ve got an actual truck. I’ve never heard of or had that looseness in the steering column. 200k+ on mine.
I'm going to say the rotors are not painted-- that doesn't make sense (salesman talk) . Just a different grade of steel.
