Anfang 2012 begegneten sie sich erstmals und es begann eine intensive musikalische Zusammenarbeit getragen von der Neugierde, herauszufinden, inwieweit sich die Tradition kurdischer Folklore mit den Traditionen improvisierter Musik anderer Stile kombinieren läßt.
Die vorliegende Aufnahme ist das Ergebnis der gemeinsamen Erforschung der Möglichkeiten, die genannten Traditionen zu verbinden, um zu einer individuellen Ausdrucksform zu finden. Die vorliegenden 11 Titel sind Improvisationen, deren Konsistenz und Struktur/melodischer und rhythmischer Fluß/Flow sich aus den gemeinsam gewonnenen Erfahrungen der letzten Jahre speisen. Es treffen nun kurdische, oder im weiteren Sinne mesopotamische Melodien und die damit verbundene/immanente besondere Tiefe des Ausdrucks zusammen mit der impulsiven Expressivität und Rhythmik des Jazz und anderer europäischer Folklore.

In the beginning of 2012 he first met and an intense musical collaboration was begun based on the curiosity to explore the possibilities of combining the tradition of Kurdish Folklore with the traditions/routines of improvised music of other styles.
The present recording is the result of the collective exploration of possibilities to combine the different traditions and routines to find an individual form of expression. The 11 tunes at hand are improvisations whose texture and structure as well as melodic and rhythmic flow come from the shared experiences collected during these years. So now Kurdish, or in a broader sense Mesopotamian melodies with their unique innate depth of expression meet with the impulsive expressiveness and rhythmicity of Jazz and styles of European Folklore.
