    Keep them coming whenever you have the time. At this rate I will soon be certified to fly the Boeing 737-800............with PMDG that is :)

      Haha, well in time you'll have the entire type rating up! It will probably take around 1000 videos!

    Can you do a video about editing the active route in the CDU, such as extending the centre line, editing the route, and other tips etc.

      Hi EnikOLED. I'm planning on making a dedicated FMC/CDU tutorial showing you some neat tricks such as creating waypoints/tracking radials etc.

      Oh this is awesome, This is certainly something which I lack. Finding out about radials from the runway and putting in the 4nm and 10nm range rings has helped me a lot.

    Hello, thanks for your video, am a student on 737 type rating and your videos have been of a big help, keep it up. If possible with the simulator can u please perform a system B low pressure just right after takeoff? Thank you so much

    Awesome
    List that i'll wish to see:
    1:FMC tricks
    2:Anti-ice system tutorial
    3:Bad weather full flights
    4:NDB Approaches {maybe Skiatos?}
    also i have seen many simmers uses VOR-LOC AND THEN ARM APP but you go directly to the APR mode why?

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  7 років тому +1

      Next video I'm just editing (FMC tricks 👍🏼)
      I've made a note of the others. (My current list has over 100 requested videos 🤣)
      If you are below G/P arm APP straight away. Our fleet have the LOC Capture only prior to G/S capture and it also lessens the chance of forgetting to arm the 2nd APP when you want to conduct an Autoland!
      Good luck!

    Firstly thank you for providing these videos for us, as an aspiring pilot it certainly allows us to develop the way we think and assess situations... as well as putting the theory to practice. I have a quick question or request, I hear a lot about some pilots saying you should keep your ability to fly raw data well practiced. With this in mind are you able to maybe provide a quick tutorial on flying raw data SIDs, STARs and maybe let us know when exactly you choose to do it and explain the thinking behind it?
    Thank you, regards, Jack.

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  7 років тому

      Hi Jaacckk TG. Thanks!
      We essentially fly all our departures with Raw Data as backup. Raw Data (F/D off) is not permitted and practiced every 6 months in the simulator. I will make a tutorial showing a Dual FMC failure where you have no choice but to navigate traditionally!
      I am planning on making a tutorial covering the dreaded Raw Data ILS as well!

      Thanks sir, makes sense! BTW, my zone temp fault I mentioned before is indeed cleared by tripping it. Dunno if it's the temp/altitude causing it, as it's never happened before with the NGX, and only in the Pacific Islands.

    Thank you for making this vid, I enjoyed it Where can I purchase a QRH for the 737 NGX, Or do you know if it ok to download them from your disk/online and have them reproduced? PMDG at one time carried it in their online store (PMDG), but been removed from the sale are for several years. Thanks again for the detailed vids (very educational). Cheers!

      Hi Michael Harris, thanks! I don't know I'm afraid! With the PMDG NGX product you get quite a few Boeing Manuals, I just used the one that came with the product and some extracts from my operators.

    Flightdeck2sim,
    Could you have turned on the APU in this situation to supplement the bleed air? Or would that interfere somehow and worsen the problem?
    Cheers

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  7 років тому +3

      Hi Max,
      The APU can only be used as a sole source of providing bleed air, if you tried to use Engine Bleed and APU bleed simultaneously the Dual Bleed light will illuminate and a thrust setting higher than idle will cause some serious damage!
      The APU is capable of providing pressurisation but only up to an Altitude of 17,000ft so if we had Two Bleed Trips Off's we would have to at least descent to that altitude.
      Hope this helped to answer your query!

    hi, is there any single engine taxi operation for your operator?
    if so, can you make a video on single engine taxi operation for 737NGs?

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  7 років тому

      Hi Danny,
      We do EOT after landing, I tried it once with FSX there is way too much asymmetry and you have to put a bucket load of rudder/tiller turn to maintain a straight line which is quite unrealistic!
      FD2S.

    • @thomas999888777666
      @thomas999888777666 7 років тому

      yeah i agree that the physics engine for taxi in fsx is kinda unrealistic and it is difficult to maneuver.
      but, just for interest, is there any weight limitation, or any other factors that limit EOT ops?
      Danny

    • @flightdeck2sim
      @flightdeck2sim  7 років тому

      After Landing flow complete, no contamination, GW Less than 63.0T and a 3 minute cool down after landing before shutting down the engine. (generally no2). Also no EOT for anything INOP that would impact steering capability or the ability to stop the aircraft quickly 👍🏼

    Hi Captain, this is Kk again. Question. How Can I find routes between different destinations. Like via and "To" otherwise I have no option other than to fly between SID and Stars straight away. Similar as we can access approach plates, Can we have routes as well which real operators are flying?

      If you want real-world flight plan routes, try this site: www.edi-gla.co.uk/fpl/login.php?go=/fpl/index.phpIt requires FREE registration, but gives access to a huge selection of routes for flight simulation. On the rare occasion there is a route I want that isn't in the database, I use the automatic route planning function in the 'My Flight Plan' area of www.simbrief.com/system/briefing.php - again this requires FREE registration, but allows you to create extremely thorough flight plans to a real-world format (with the option of LIDO, RYR and other formats).

    • @EinkOLED
      @EinkOLED 7 років тому +1

      PFPX professional flight planner is the way to go (all serious simmers use it). It is similar to the software used by dispatchers in real airline. It finds a route, can calculate the trip fuel, ZFW with pax numbers, alternative airports, sids, stars, weather and with topcat can calculate the takeoff thrust, v speeds and VREF landing speed. The route can be uploaded onto PMDG with a simple co route (name) in the CDU
      Once released all the information is displayed for the route similar to what is displayed by airlines (from the fuel, weights, v speeds, trip route with fuel on each waypoint, winds, notams, etc etc.
      What;s great about it is that you can plan a flight, upload the route and have all the fuel, sids/stars calculated, etc in less than 2 minutes, it does everything for you. However you need to configure the PMDG 737 to the specifications of the airline you are flying such as cost index, nav aid systems, pax numbers etc.
      Without it it would be like flying the pmdg 737 in VFR.
