      Nah!
      What you are calling "split ends" are NOT!
      Hair does NOT grow out evenly while coming from all sides.
      Those "ends" indicate that the hair strands are each "growing-at-different-speeds".
      **********
      Also,...what you mistook as "split ends" are really the "strong, breathing-shorter-hairs-racing-to-
      catch-up-with-the-longer-hair".
      That's all!
      ***********
      Hair "should NOT-be-straightened-to-the-very-
      end", because to do so "prevents-the-hair-from-breathing".
      ************
      Those wild-looking. uneven "ends" are like the antennae of certain plants,....and/or the gills of certain fish which is needed to bring in oxygen.
      Lack of oxygen kills all living things.

      Her mom brings her in about every 3 weeks, if she’s not wearing crochet hairstyles. I install the crochet. And when it’s time to trim we trim. Her mom puts the regimen in my hands lol. I say as long as you have a good shampoo, conditioner; deep conditioning your hair a least once a week, biweekly or once a month, low manipulation, and most importantly trimming your hair at most every 3 months, you should see a difference. You also can do all your treatments( clay mask, deep condition, protein treat, and steam) once a month if you want to simplify it😊. She’s been coming to me for a year and a half.

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  3 роки тому +1

      @@truartist5379 Sometimes manipulation isn’t the only reason for damage and shedding. And honestly even with finger detangling, it can cause knots still when pulling your hair apart because your hair is in need of trim. If you want to go the health route, malnutrition can cause dry hair to damaged hair. Lack of Iron can cause shedding, if you have thyroid issues that can cause thinning to balding, high blood pressure, menopause, eczema, etc. The list goes on..., but as a licensed professional, we can’t just look at a client’s hair a say, oh you not detangling right, lol. It sometimes goes deeper than that. But thanks for your input and watching my video 😊👌🏾

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  3 роки тому +3

      With the natural hair I’ve had some that have come close to it but I haven’t had a consistent client in regards to the monthly, but you still can achieve hair growth. As long as you’re not retouching with the flatiron continuously while your hair is straight, trimming when it’s time to, doing your protein treatments once a month, and deep conditioning on shampoo day. You will still see length retention/growth. When we’re consistent with the health of our hair, it has no choice but to flourish 😊❤️ hope this helps

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  4 роки тому +8

      Iam Nay A great way to prevent heat damage is to invest in a great flatiron and Blowdryer. I recommend at the “most” twice a month flatironing,. Once you flatiron don’t do retouches if your hair becomes frizzy, let it naturally revert back to natural. Once every month do your treatments( protein treatment, deep conditioner and hot oil treatment if needed).

    • @ciarrashayna
      @ciarrashayna 4 роки тому

      Krissypoo HairView so do the protein treatments every month ? So it doesn’t overload right ?

      Yep the protein treatment will help to keep the integrity and strength of the curl pattern.

    • @KrissypooHairView
      @KrissypooHairView  3 роки тому

      Janeya Beaton-Burton Yes, your hair has to have a balance of Moisture and Protein. Having to much protein can cause it to become dry, and like a stiff brittle feel which will cause shedding and breakage. I recommend once a month followed by deep conditioning. A easy way to keep up with maintenance on your hair is doing all your treatments(for ex: like the protein, a mask treatment, hot oil, deep conditioning and any others) once a month. With the deep conditioner you can do that when ever needed.

      @@KrissypooHairView its not about preference at all? The nape is shorter, so if you trim like this, you miss the split ends on the nape which then continue to split up the strand?

      Because in the Black Culture when we had Relaxed hair the hair would be straight but had a chemical feel to it. With the Hair in Natural State (no chemicals) Straightening the hair has more of a Soft and Silky feel to it.

      Alice the Great New growth comes from roots not your ends. If you have splits ends and see through the hair, the length retention will be a waste because your hair will be thin brittle and unhealthy.

    • @alicethegreat3742

      @@KrissypooHairView beauticians cut more than spit ends. They cut so much more hair that eliminates the length of the new growth. Black women hair don't grow as fast as white women or other ethnic groups hair. Our hair is kinky and bimble and require more oil and softness. My beautician had a large white clientele and she tried to keep cutting my hair every visit. I told No! My hair grew just fine without a massive cut.
